Geller: CAIR Fights Oklahoma Anti-Sharia Law, Not Jihadis

In Human Events this morning, Pamela Geller asks some pointed questions about CAIR's action against Oklahoma's anti-Sharia law:

Oklahoma became the first state to pass a proposition that Sharia-based court decisions and foreign law should be banned, an idea any patriot could love. But on Monday morning a federal judge, Vicki Miles-LaGrange, issued a temporary restraining order blocking Oklahoma's new state constitutional amendment--that had just been approved by 70% of the vote--which forbids courts to decide cases using Islamic law (Sharia). The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is trying to block the law, and for now they've succeeded: The restraining order will remain in place until another hearing on November 22.

Yet whatever temporary successes Muslim supremacists appear to attain, I believe that the suit and other actions like it are a good thing. The Islamic supremacists are showing their hand and revealing their agenda. The Ground Zero mosque revealed the true face of Islamic supremacists to the American people and unmosqued their real goals, and now, so, too, will the lawsuit being brought by the Hamas-linked, Muslim-Brotherhood front CAIR against the good people of Oklahoma. My colleague, Robert Spencer, an expert on Islam, asks about the Oklahoma Sharia law hearings, "Will Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani be available to testify?"

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani is awaiting death by stoning in Iran after being falsely convicted of adultery. That's Sharia.

Oklahoma's CAIR leader, Muneer Awad, says, "Sharia law has never been used in Oklahoma before this amendment came about," and so the law is unnecessary. Then why sue to block it?

Thanks to their attitude that Islam must dominate, Americans across the great country are waking up to the enemy in our midst. Hamas-linked CAIR is suing Oklahoma, but why isn't Muslim-Brotherhood, Hamas-linked CAIR as aggressive against jihad, the slaughter of non-Muslims? Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood CAIR is suing Ohio to install Sharia law. Why isn't CAIR fighting against the jihadists with hate and determination? Why aren't they fighting the devout violent Muslims with such venom? Why are they instead suing Oklahoma to pave the way for the Sharia law?

And who is funding them?

Who indeed? And why isn't the mainstream media asking such questions? Read it all.

The cost of fighting Islam in the courts is not going to be paid for by a few bucks here and a few bucks there. So, I have a (naive?) suggestion.

If the legal issues could be solved, would it be possible to set-up a non-profit making national lottery to generate funds solely for the use of paying legal bills incurred by defending freedom from the constant attacks of Islam?

If 'the widow's mite' were multiplied by hundreds of thousands, and maybe even millions playing the game, then all these 'mites' could be turned into 'might' in the courts.

Just a suggestion.

If CAIR didn't sue, if the Mahoundian population is upset, it's because the Oklahoma law is 'warring with Allah' Quran 5:33...It is an attack on 'Gods' word...It is spreading mischief and corruption in the land...If CAIR does not sue (launch a legal jihad counter attack) they would be in violation of sharia themselves...But by doing so, they expose the weakness in sharia armor...A very friendly dhimmi judge, can stifle discovery, but not the publicity that comes from it...Sharia and western life and values, current US law, and the US constitution, are incompatible...

At its worst, the change to the OK constitution is but a redundancy. Effectively a restatement of what is the law today. It is harmless to that extent to the interests of any religion.

Nonetheless the Muslims will unwisely continue to pursue this. As Pam observes, these sort of stunts will only serve to bring Islam and the practices of its adherents out into the open. Americans will be able to assess them for what they are, antithetical to American principles.

We are moving toward the discussion that what should have entertained long ago: What exactly is a religion within the meaning of the 1st Amendment. Whatever the answer, Islam with its complete political system wrapped up in the mask of a religion, is not within the 1st Amendment context.

Isn't there some kind of ruling or law that when frivolous law suits are brought, the plaintiff is required to pay all court cost? Couldn't the respondent require that the plaintiff pay the attorneys as well?

Did I read that right?
"Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood CAIR is suing Ohio to install Sharia law."

can we get more information on that?
if its true.....this would show direct cause to the judge that we need an anti-shariah law in every state.

Is there any movement to get this same law on place in any other state?

Sharia is a foreign legal system, so it should not be applied in any part or totality within the jurisdiction of the United States Constitutional legal system. Same as foreign Libel Tourism suits, these Sharia suits should be dismissed a priori before they can inflict monetary damages on their victims. As Oklahoma understood, there aught to be a law against this, starting with the refusal of CAIR-Sharia law suits, universally in all states.

I love this legal challenge by CAIR, and hope the great state of Oklahoma shows up in court with guns ablazen'. Yippee! I plan to send a letter to whomever I can determine will be facing down Sharia law, and strongly suggest that Mr. Robert Spencer consult wth the defense. The precedent here will have a huge influence of our nation's ability to avoid the European invasion. GO OKLAHOMA!

Dear ITF,

Thank you for pointing out the Hamas attempt to impose Sharia law in Ohio. I missed it on my first reading of the above article. You are so right, it is a key point to make, because it is certainly relevant to Oklahoma's position, and completely legitimises their anti-Sharia legislation. We need more information on this, and if it is at it appears, this Oklahoma judge needs to be made aware. It completely destroys the premise on which she based her decision.
