Hajj pilgrims chant "Death to America," "Death to Israel"

I was thinking "Row, row, row your boat/ gently down the stream...." But then I remembered: They don't have any streams. It might have sounded pretty good with a million of them. Partying with those folks? "Death to America" in multi-part harmony? I don't see the charm, honestly.

Could anyone ask Buraq Hussein Osama how his claims that mahoundianism is "one of the world's great religions (sic)" could be squared with the reality of the blood-thirsty fanatical frenzy such bedouin Nuremberg rallies?

And, on "I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam", do we need anymore proof that the other side knows that they're at war not only with America, but with the entire civilized world? And that if one side doesn't acknowledge that it's at war with the other, the way the latter see the conflict doesn't change at all???

January 2013 couldn't come any sooner...

Oh, I'm sure this mere handful of extremists are vastly outnumbered by moderate Muslims the world over praying for America's deliverance from secularism, with a few words thrown in about forgiving the Jews, as well as anyone who trespasses against Islam.
After all, Islam is a tolerant, peaceful religion. No? :))

Re. the Hajj.

Back in the 19th century, certain intrepid westerners overcome by consuming curiosity to see what all the fuss was about, *pretended* to be Muslims and went on the Hajj.

And pulled off the deception, and managed to get home to tell the tale.

According to Iran's official news agency the pilgrims to this rally are from Iran. I gather from reading other accounts about this that it is a Shiite rally.

What is interesting is reading the statement delivered by Kahmeneni at this gathering in which he is quoted as saying:

"The extensive propaganda of the enemy to spread Islamophobia, its offhand efforts to create discord among Muslim sects, to incite sectarian prejudices, to bring about pseudo-confrontations between the Sunnis and the Shi’ah, to create disunity between Islamic states and to aggravate their differences, to change them into hostility and unsolvable conflicts, its employment of intelligence and espionage outfits to propagate corruption and immorality amongst the youth—all these are nervous and bewildered responses to the steady and firm advances of the Islamic Ummah towards awakening, honour and freedom."

I am wondering if this statement indicates that whatever rivalries may exist between Shiites and Sunnis and the Islamic states which are based on either sects that both will or have put them aside in order to conduct jihad against American and Israel.

There's your moderate Muslims. The Religion of Peace you know.

Such a joyous peaceful bunch of folks!!! But not to fear our fearless leader will talk his way into saying they really do not mean this they are upset because of colonialism. Give them an Education as our leader in the Pentagon states and they will not blow us up or themselves so they can go to heaven with their 72 virgins waiting...

Once more, proof that the most devout Muslims are the biggest problem. They are the leaders of Islam and they exert tremendous influence (if not complete dominance)over all "moderate' Muslims. In the real world, their are no moderate Muslims...just Muslims who are more or less devout. i.e more or less dangerous.

Iranian or not, there is no excuse if muslims want to be recognized as civilized. They have a long way to go, and the enablers are the "moderate" muslim majority who, just like the silent German public under the Nazis, went along with the incitement and eventually genocide.

Nary a peep of disgust from anyone at incitement at the Hajj-hate-fest. What I see is that all muslims therefore condone murder of infidels - something I knew all along.

Ridiculous that anyone would recognize Islam as "one of the three great religions" - that phrase makes me wanna hurl.

And for purposes of comparison, just think of the Christians who make their pilgrimages to Rome, or Lourdes, or Our Lady of Walsingham, or to St James of Compostela, or even all the way to Jerusalem, or to the Jordan River.

Think of the Jews who go to pray at the Kotel, or the Jewish women who go to Rachel's Tomb to pray for a baby.

Think of the million or so Hindus, every year, who make their way to Varanasi to immerse themselves in India's great river, the life-giving Ganges.

There are ancient pilgrimage sites in China, too, and in Tibet.

In Japan - despite the fanatical militarism of their recent past - one of their religious/ cultural practices is to go out into the gardens in spring and walk about contemplating the cherry blossoms.

But nobody does any of this as a spiritual Nuremberg Rally, to sink themselves in something like The Blob and whip themselves into a Nazi-style frenzy of screeching rage and hatred focused on the achievement of Total World Domination by the practice of violence and deceit.

A couple of the non-Muslim pilgrimage sites I mentioned above (and note that these locales do not, unlike Mecca and Medina, exclude those who belong to other faiths or none).
