Obviously, as I have pointed out many times, the TSA's security measures will never be adequate to stop the Islamic jihadists. The TSA is always prohibiting or restricting or searching things pertaining to the method of the previous jihad attack attempt -- shoes, liquids, etc. -- but they have no way to anticipate or head off the method of the next attack. And they waste huge amounts of time, money, and resources by pretending that everyone is an equal threat to launch a terror attack -- Baptist grandmothers in wheelchairs just as much as young Pakistani Muslim males.

I quite agree with everything in the above. And yet, as insane as it is to pretend that everyone represents a potentially equal threat, how much more insane is it to *partially exempt* the very group that needs to be most rigorously screened?

Not just insanity, but suicidal insanity.

I think it would be important to stop calling it "Israeli style profiling" since what they do is actually not profiling in the sense Americans think of it.

What they do is look for the bomber, not just the bomb. That is the key difference. The TSA looks for the bomb. They are not allowed to specifically target nervous people, suspicious people.

But the Israelis agree with Roberts assessment, you will never technologically stop all the new ideas. You can make it harder, but if you focus also on the people doing the bomb placing/making, then you have a better chance.

There are many levels at which people have to interact with trained staff just to get on a plane. And none of the questions can be answered with just "yes/no". They have to speak a sentence, and the trained staff member can evaluate if the person is acting suspicious.

So yes, nervous air travelers are going to get preferentially pulled over. But as Robert has also noted in the past, so does he. (Of course what kind of foolish fellow edits Jihad Watch in an airport. Come on, really, what were you thinking!)

What we need to get the TSA focused on is the premise the Israelis use, which is not based on profiling. But profiling is just part of the techniques used.

Next up CAIR is bound to protest that muslims women may not be searched by any male and after that no muslim should be searched because you are now being an islamophobe and insulting islam.
I guess that have no problem with full body searchs of infidal women specially from scandinvian countries.

Seems like the advice from the CAIR is designed to add to the difficulties and expense of the airport personel. - Funny behavior for loyal Americans who are enemies of Jihadist activity. So much .... so painful to see ...

Years ago I was a Canadian Customs Officer - well before current Islamic Muslim Jihadi terrorist sob’s came to North America.

I took my job very seriously and was extremely successful at nabbing great numbers of smugglers and interdicting prohibited goods.

The TSA concept is the same: how to distinguish between the honest and the terrorists.

One reason for my personal success: I looked at the *people*; how they acted and reacted. I could have cared less about whether they were visible minorities, white, what they wore, or their gender. We were also completely unfettered by PC. This became a sixth sense.

Minimum wage marginally trained TSA clowns are not taught sophisticated techniques; even if they were they are effectively hamstrung by PC. Now it will be worse.

Islumic education, awareness, and *most critical* - passing on what we learn here to the Islamically ignorant is a true key to this endless war.

WE ARE AT WAR!

And in today's politically correct environment, the Obama Administration and the TSA would rather see another jihad mass-murder of American citizens on the scale of 9/11 or worse than do anything to suggest that..... i.e., recognize in an official way that Muslims are a greater risk.

Mr. Obama responded to a student's question about his views of jihad by saying that the term has a lot of meanings within Islam. "I think all of us recognize that this great religion in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to justify violence towards innocent people..."

Ever since 9/11, the metal screws in my elbow set the metal detectors off and I am pulled aside for humiliating "special treatment." It was bad enough when they were using the back of the hands. Now, when I set off the metal detector, they will probably send me through the virtual strip search scanners plus the groping. I've never been a frequent flyer, but from now on, I'm going to avoid flying as much as possible. Either that, or I'll wear a hijab.

When returning from a trip to Israel a couple of years ago, I was quite surprised when I didn't set off the metal detector. I don't remember anyone having to take off their shoes either. My "interrogation" lasted maybe a minute, although I know some people get questioned longer and may also have their bags manually inspected.

I think the problem though, with employing Israeli style security here in the US, is finding and hiring enough people with the appropriate abilities. The TSA seems pretty good at hiring brutes on power trips. Are they capable of selecting, hiring, and properly training sensitive and perceptive employees (although to be fair, I've heard some of the Israeli agents are sensitive and perceptive brutes on power trips)?

The most important thing is that the non-terrorist passengers are alert and not afraid to speak up or take action when necessary. That why the "flying Imams" suit and other incidents like it, is particularly disturbing.

Profiling is looking pretty good right now.

Ideas for security searches of passengers

1. The TSA official who checks the passengers gets to fly on that same plane. You'd need a lot more officials, but with the added incentive (survival) the job would definitely get done.

2. Forget all this nonsense. Sequester the passengers, one room for males and one for females, in a room without witnesses or CCTV, for fifteen minutes, and tell them that they have to search each other.

In either case there'd be no qualms about profiling.

I've seen videos about israeli airport security using the same methods as SSL is describing. Look at the person, not specifically at objects. They use profiling, over here they'd scream discrimination, but in Israel they are more effective than anyone else and they're on top of islam's hate list. They are successful, fast and unobtrusive. It's amazing the west doesn't learn anything from them.

I would just make a minor change:

"...should be limited to searching only around Muslim women's head and neck if they are wearing a hijab and that Muslims objecting to the enhanced full-body scans have the right to request the pat-down procedure be done in a private place."

Should be changed to read:
"... should be limited to a complete strip search including all body cavities." (remember the Butt-Hole Bomb that Islam developed for that failed assassination in Saudi a while back? The bra bomb??)

I remmember right after 9-11 in October only tow weeks after the attack I was taking the a flight to France. Back then I still had my Iranian passport, and they took me out to search me. I got really pissed and they said you don't have to be searched if you don't want to and I said yes and then they told me fine but I can not get on the plane. they should the exact same thing. they don't want to be searched then don't get on f....ing plane

In other words CAIR are trying to make it easier for women suicide bombers to blow up aircraft. People, you have an enemy division conducting a war against your own country, in your midst, they are as much of an enemy as Al Qaeda or the Taliban are.

Sorry, but I can't find anything in the Koran that forbids use of back-scatter x-ray scanners. If the Koran is indeed the divine word from the timeless creator of the universe, surely Allah would be familiar with back-scatter x-rays and would have mentioned it to Muhammad, no?

I've just realised the twisted logic that CAIR apply.

The key to this 'head & neck only' thing is in the CAIR recommendation:
..ask the TSA officer if the reason you are being selected is because of your head scarf.

The logic (?) is that if a muslima can establish that the only reason that she has had her boarding pass marked for 'sss' (i.e. selected for secondary screening) is that she is wearing a head covering / face veil, then she will forcefully argue that the TSA can pat her down only in the area covered by that head covering / face veil.

I've got an idea. How about if we institute "Fleshmobs" where everyone simply shows up naked for checkin! Since Muslims are so terrified of the sight of a naked body, that, alone, would send them running from the airport. And, if enough people show up naked for screening, I suspect it would force the government to reconsider this clear violation of the fourth amendment, especially since it will clearly not stop ass bombs, surface to air missiles, or simply ramming small planes into airlines. After all, if some pervert screener is going to see you naked, what difference who else sees you naked? Also, how about if someone simply issues a fatwa that says that air travel is illegal under Islam? After all, it is certainly not mentioned or anticipated in the Koran. Finally, maybe airlines should adopt pot bellied pigs as a sort of mascot for the various flights. I'm sure they could act as a sort of "therapy dog" for nervous travelers. And, the danger of a jihadi being contaminated by the blood of that pig during an attack might make them think twice.
Just some thoughts.

Done correctly this could be a good tool for keeping Muslims off of airplanes. You just need to make sure to search every one with even the smallest Muslim attribute.

Perhaps muslim women might choose an alternate means of travel. That would make things easier on most everybody else.

Putting pig anyting on or in a plane won't do anything to stop them. Their imams will simply tell them if they martyr themself they will automatically enter heaven regardless. Also profiling muslims sounds like a problem. How do you see who is muslim ? Someone who looks middle eastern ? That could be a jewish person, a coptic christian, or some other non-muslim. And none of the 9/11 bombers wore beards or islamic clothing. And nowadays there's plenty of white western converts. It's very easy to blend in.

I have two solutions (neither are remotely PC)
1. When in doubt, send in the dogs (bomb dogs to be precise). If you don't want to be patted down, you get a going over by the bomb dogs...while lying down.

2. If we can train pigs to sniff out truffles underground, I bet they could be trained to sniff for explosives (in tandem with dogs).

This whole issue of airport security is now well beyond anything that can be called sensible. My husband just called to tell me that when leaving our local tiny Norwich airport in the UK, usually only a few flights per day, the s0-security staff really surpass themselves in intimidation, not only did he have to go through the usual ritual of shoes and jacket removal, pat down, search of his carry on bag, which was devoured of all its contents, next step was all credit cards removed from his wallet and more. Notices abound about taking very seriously any violence, rage, anger, whatever, towards staff. Madness, but then Norwich Airport does have its fair number of staff who appear to be on their own power trip. Give me body scanners any day and put these little hitlers out of work. Oh and by the way each passenger is now required to pay £5.00 for the personal intrusion before leaving the airpot for 'airport expansion.' The whole travelling thing is utterly sickening and I hate it. Muslims, you can take it or leave it. We have to put up with it, so why shouldn't you given that muslims are the cause of so much more rage than there was before 9/11.
