Three things generally to remember about Islamic terrorism.

1) It isn't an "Arab" thing. There are millions of Arab Christians in the Palestinian territories, in Lebanon, in Syria, in Jordan and in northern Iraq. Most Arab Christians resent the United States and resent Israel, but there are NO Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Chaldean, etc., suicide bombers. Christian cultures are certainly not immune to sectarian violence (e.g. Northern Ireland) but no Christians are bombing for the purpose of creating a Christian state - anywhere. The suicide bombers are Arab MUSLIMS, not ARAB Musllims. Islam's the problem; it's not an ethnic thing.

2) There is no free majority Muslim society, with two possible exceptions. Freedom House does a survey of worldwide civil rights and civil liberties every year. They rate civil rights and civil liberties on a 1-7 scale for each, 1 being very free and 7 being completely oppressive. The U.S. is a 1/1 as are most European countries, and most wealthy countries are at least a 2/2 (e.g. Bulgaria). Most Muslim societies are un-free with two exceptions: Indonesia and Mali (each a 2/3, decent though hardly model scores). I for one don't want America to become more Indonesian or Malian, let alone Saudi or Pakistani. Turkey is a 3/3, in part due to substantial restrictions imposed by the white-knuckle "dry drunk" secular Turkish Republic desperately fearful of nationally falling off of the wagon.

Quite frankly, what Islamic country would YOU want the United States to emulate in ANY way?

3) It isn't a "poverty thing." While poverty certainly doesn't make things healthier in Islamic societies, the 19 hijackers were relatively well educated and intelligent men, men who were capable of learning how to fly planes, men who made it here on education visas in many cases. Similarly the Fort Hood mass murderer was not some poverty-stricken illiterate goat-herder, but an accomplished Ph.D in psychology.

I am so pleased someone has AT LAST exposed what is going on in these weekend schools and shown up the folly of the present UK government's policy on "free schools" (which would allow Shariah advocates to set up their own schools at our - the taxpayers' - expense).

Yes. That is probably what the Swedish government would say. I personally don't think she should be arrested, however. That is simply my opinion.

I think his wife, who loves him so much, should be sent to join him.
