Absolutely anything is justified if it works towards Islam's final victory.
How many infidels still don't understand the utter ruthlessness of Islam?

I believe that in the end Islam as it now stands, in most of it's version, should be exposed. As anti-Democratic or at least as very confusing and vulnerable to misuse and misunderstanding, hence dangerous and detrimental to Democracy.

But I would not mind for now that there should be Muslim parties in Democratic Nations.

The situation now seems to be that particularly Socialist parties get a substantial amount of Muslim votes. As they also have a quite a lot of Muslim politicians. This seems to influence (badly) their policies a lot.

If major Islamic parties drew the majority of Muslim votes, I think that would be good for clarity and more independent policies by the Socialist parties.

Perhaps Muslims would take more responsibility, accept more accountability if they had to work in the hard day-to-day-practice of Democratic rules, maybe even take part in governing.

Until now I understood from Muslims themselves that somehow that they did not really want Islamic political parties, because they somehow did not see Democracy as legitimate in Islam. And not as some kind of eternal endgoal. And I understood that they did not want to legitimize of submit to Democracy by engaging totally in the Democratic process.

So I am glad that now many Muslims do want to participate in Democracy.

from the outside of democracies, that influence would be diametrically opposed to said democracy..period.
that 40% is also not the old stagers either, it is the burgeoning young muslims, ie. & thus equally problematic.

Pakistan: 9-year-old Christian girl raped by a Muslim

(Catholic Culture) Bishop Joseph Coutts of Faisalabad has condemned the rape of a 9-year-old Catholic girl by a Muslim man.

“The incident is terrifying,” he said. “I met the victims and I expressed my regret to them. I believe we must consider a pastoral and legal strategy, in an effort to stem the phenomenon of the abuse of Christian girl.”

“Such incidents occur frequently,” a local source told the Fides news agency. “Christian girls are considered goods to be damaged at leisure. Abusing them is a right. According to the community's mentality it is not even a crime. Muslims regard them as spoils of war.”

While the man who raped the girl has been arrested, “the family is terrified because the village is mainly Muslim,” Fides reports.

Christians in Muslim countries are being systematically ethnically cleansed, by the instruments of murder, rape, church burnings and riot. Christians have no where to go.

Meanwhile we have a rapidly growing Muslim population in the West, that threatens to destroy the cultural and historic roots of Western civilisation by sheer numbers. In the end this will lead to a catastrophic civil war. To avoid such a catastrophe it is far better to have a civilised exchange of populations - Christians in Muslim countries for Muslims in the West. Else look forward to a bloody civil war that will Bosnia look like a garden party.

Why should this information be kept SECRET? Why shouldn't the British or American public be informed about the political attitudes of the muslim population? What interest does the US have to keep this information secret?

Now, if this were a telegram to the saudi government, I could understand the secrecy. It would indicate: The indoctrination of the muslim youth by the imams and mosques funded by our government in the UK is successful. The antidemocratic and pro shariah movement is growing. Once we have sufficient numbers of islamic followers, the UK shall be turned into a kalifate. We have to make sure that the UK government and citizens are not warned of this developement such that no countermeasures can be taken to prevent the spread of Islam.

The glories of elitists "multiculturalism" morphs into the monster of the sharia compliant Islamic state. There must be a full public disclosure of the true goals and nature of an Islamic state and the implications of sharia law for all muslims and nonmuslims in all western democracies!

And, what is the U.S. government's expectation of its outreach to the British Muslim community?

That Muslims will be less devout, and will not heed the essential tenets of their faith?

Will drift from “orthodoxy”?

That the US government “outreach” will somehow moderate the doctrines of Islam? Maybe inspire a true Islamic Renaissance or Enlightenment that is actually “peaceful, tolerant, and just” (vis-à-vis non-Muslims)?

That British Muslims will “like us” more and “understand us” better?

Until the U.S. government undertakes a serious and objective analysis of the “enemy” in the deliberately misleading PC-labeled “war on ‘terror’” (as if a political tool can be a tangible or objective enemy), it will continue to fail to get a handle on the inherent ideological challenge posed by Islamic doctrines and orthodoxy.

This is an existentialist ideological struggle, not a "radicalization" issue. As difficult as that fact is to swallow, the sooner it is digested, the better the U.S. government will be at fulfilling its fundamental obligation of "supporting and defending" the Constitution of the United States, ensuring the safety of its citizenry, and upholding liberty.

Knowing your enemy is essential to a successful war-fighting strategy and foreign policy.

Well, I don't think 1 in 3 is a small minority, nor 42%.

But why does it take a leak from an American cable to show us this? Was it hidden from us?

Nothing surprising here!!! All Muslims have to support jihad and all of them are jihadi aka terrorists at heart. Not all of them openly express support for terrorists but internally all Muslims support terrorists. No doubt about it. After all Mo/allah was "made victorious by terror". Terror is holy for Muslims and therefore they all support it!!

I think the numbers are flawed...It's probably more like 90% on all questions...The remaining 10% are closet apostates...

Only 40% want Allah's laws? Does that mean the other 60% are guilty of apostasy? How does that fit with being a pious Mahoundian? The 32% who think killing in Allah's name is just fine, is a lot of Mahoundians, but it only reflects how many are terrorist supporters, not how many are jihadists, jihading non violently for the same goals...Jihad is an obligation, not an elective...

These figures have been published before. Why even the proponents for civilization in their discussions still are saying that it's just a small percentage who are a threat is beyond me.

Humans are less rational than we think. The Enlightenment and its beneficial effects resulting in our egalitarian beliefs seems just a veneer on top of the human collective psyche which in reality is very susceptible to any kind of programming. Our beliefs that life is sacred seems perfectly natural to us but to at least half of the world, life is very cheap and other humans are merely objects to be controlled and manipulated.

As Muslim minds marinated in hate result in these figures, Western minds are equally marinated in the ostrich mentality.

As many commenters note, this will likely end in bloody worldwide civil wars. Fjordman's latest article gives us the only rational solution (to ban Islam worldwide) but that will only happen within the context of such civil wars.

I would like one of these polls to ask the 60% of Muslims who DON'T want sharia: "Would you publicly debate the 40% of Muslims who DO want sharia?" I have a feeling most of those 60% would say no.

One time in a conversation about Islam and Democracy a colleague, ignorant at best, very Political Correct argued that the very existence of Islamic Politicians inside the Labour, Christian Democrat and other parties was "proof" that Islam and Democracy were compatible!

Then of course I told him about Shariah law and how precisely it is anti-Democratic and that so many Muslims support that. As always in these discussions about Islam this colleaque and the 2-3 others around us then broke off the talking with the argument or excuse that they had to get back to work.

I'm glad this information has been made public. Shows them for what they are. Religious extremist fanatics! They should all be deported to hell.

I agree that 30-40% of the British Muslim students, presumably the most intelligent and articulate, support "killing in the name of Islam" is a cause of major concern and something that should be openly discussed.

I would also, though, build on Joseph's theme: "What are the other 60% really thinking?" How could they be approached? Hoe might they join others in building a new vision for how we live together on this planet?

Of equal importance is also what are the perceptions of the whole of the British Muslim (and Christian) population, not just this one subset of students?

It is impossible to educate those with closed minds, and who belong to a medieval religion that consistantly refuses to acknowledge that those of other faiths have a right to their own beliefs. A taxpayer funded university education is patently wasted upon those that can see no further than their own narrow and misguided opinions.

I would like to write more but can only say that all of these posts speak to an intellectual, cultural, spiritual and theological global transformational change that the planet is going through. While seemingly small events are occurring on a daily basis a much bigger pattern demonstrates dimensions of change at times reminiscent of Martin Luther and the Renaissance or the transformation of this country through the Civil war and up through the Civil Rights Movement. From another perspective all of these changes are so vast and complex that they are nothing like anything the human species has ever experienced.

In the words of a Chinese proverb: My we live in interesting times.

It may be that we need powers even greater than Harry possesses?
