Christmas requiem for Iraq's Christian community

Something needs to be done about the abomination that is Islam!!!! I just don't see how apologists like Reza Aslan and others seriously think they have any case whatesoever. Mohammad was evil incarnate and as long as Islam exists there will never be peace!!!

It is obvious by now that the Christians in the Middle East are an "endangered species."

Christians in Arab countries are no longer being persecuted; they are now being slaughtered and driven out of their homes and lands.

Those who for many years turned a blind eye to complaints about the persecution of Christians in the Middle East now owe the victims an apology. Now it is clear to all that these complaints were not "Jewish propaganda."

The war of genocide against Christians in the Middle East can no longer be treated as an "internal affair" of Iraq or Egypt or the Palestinians. What the West needs to understand is that radical Islam has declared jihad not only against Jews, but also against Christians.

In Iraq, Egypt and the Palestinian territories, Christians are being targeted almost on a daily basis by Muslim fundamentalists and secular dictators.

Dozens of Arab Christians in Iraq have been killed in recent months in what seems to be well-planned campaign to drive them out of the country. Many Christian families have already begun fleeing Iraq out of fear for their lives.

Some have chosen to start new lives in Jordan, while many others are expressing hope that they could be resettled in North America or Europe.

In Egypt, the plight of the Coptic Christian minority appears to be worsening. Just this week, the Egyptian security forces killed a Coptic Christian man and wounded scores of others who were protesting against the government's intention to demolish a Christian-owned structure.

Hardly a day passes without reports of violence against members of the Coptic Christian community in various parts of Egypt. Most of the attacks are carried out by Muslim fundamentalists.

According to the Barnabas Fund, an advocacy and charitable organization based in the United Kingdom, "Fears for the safety of Egyptian Christians are growing after a series of false allegations, violent threats and mass demonstrations against Christians in Egypt."

Muslim anger was ignited by unfounded accusations that Egyptian Christians were aligned with Israel and stockpiling weapons in preparation for war against Muslims.

The Barnabas Fund noted that Egyptian authorities have been accused of complicity for political reasons in the escalating sectarian crisis.

Palestinian Christians have also been feeling the heat, although they their conditions remain much better than those of their brothers and sisters in Iraq and Egypt.

Last week, the Western-funded Palestinian Authority in the West Bank arrested a Christian journalist who reported about differences between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and senior Fatah operative Mohammed Dahlan. The journalist, George Qanawati, manager of Radio Bethlehem 2000, was freed five days later.

In the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, the tiny Christian community is also living in fear following a spate of attacks by radical Islamic groups.

The failure of the international community to pay enough attention to the dangers facing the Christians encouraged radical Muslims and corrupt dictatorships to step up their assaults on Christian individuals and institutions.

When Muslim fanatics cannot kill Christian soldiers or civilians in the mountains of Afghanistan or on the streets of New York, they choose an easy prey: their Arab Christian neighbors.

I do not want the Iraqi Christians out of Iraq, or the Copts out of Egypt, etc. I want such communities to enjoy safety and respect in their home countries. This is my prayer.

It is also my prayer that the cracks in the walls of Islam continue to grow.

It is Islam's goal to eliminate all Christians and Christianity....The Muslims are proving it everyday.

Merry Christmas to all: It would be nice if Christians were left alone or Jews left alone to express their faith in their God as they believe but of course Islam is the perfect religion and the God of Islam and his prophet forces all to believe not out of faith but out of fair, force, and submission. Funny, what ever happened to believing because what you believe is true and you have come to that truth because of enlightenment? What kind of a God or prophet are you believing in that forces you into becoming a submissive puppet. God being worshiped by Gods' own submissive puppet image. INSANE

I'm surprised the Muslims are this dumb. Getting rid of the Christians and Jews, evil as it is, is strategically stupid. They represent, in effect, captive hostage populations. Any significant action against a Muslim country must be tempered against the certainty of reprisals against the Christian and Jewish populations in every other Muslim country that still has them. If Iraq, Egypt, and Turkey were to effectively exile all their remaining Jews and Christians to the US, Europe, and Israel, there is no longer any impediment to actions against them.

aynrandgirl, you're assuming that any country is ready to exact vengeance against Muslims who have been persecuting Jews and Christians.
This will never happen. Muslims are like, so cool - it's that whole gangster chic thing, plus Eurabia and the UN control that means any western wannabe who wants in at the UN has to suck up to them, like the Oz foreign minister for example, Kevin Rudd.

As a friend of mine said at an event wherein Christians discussed sending food and prayers to Christians in the ME: "Have you thought about sending them GUNS?"

We've all heard of the 300 Spartans, heavily outnumbered by Persians at Thermopylae around 480 BC, and the bravery they showed in fighting to the last man. It seems now as if Christian minorities in Muslim countries have no option but to become like Spartans if they're to have a chance of survival. It may be that the West might well have to sometime in the next century.

We should rid the US of Islam.

The sad part about this is back in history muslim marauders did exactly the same thing, murdered unbelievers in islam if they wouldn`t convert or treat them as second class citizens, which is what they`re doing in Egypt and many other countries around the world where they are becoming the majority presence!
The Western powers still can`t see what`s happening!
They must have blinders on, it`s only a matter of time that this will be happening in the West if they don`t do something to stop the march of Islam!
Here in the UK we do have the EDL who are a bit rough round the edges, but they realize what`s happening and are trying to protest in their own clumsy way, but the media calls them facists, what a joke!
It`s the same for the BNP, they have a bad reputation from the past, but now they`ve matured and are right on the ball but they are still called racists when they are just trying to stand up for the British against the muslim infiltration into the higher echelons of society to change things for the muslim way of life, sharia etc. Often these people are found to have links to terrorist organisations and I know this is also happening in the States, but political correctness is stopping anything being done about it!
In France the muslims have virtually taken over streets in Paris to pray five times a day (which is illegal) but the gendarmes have been told to just let them get on with it, people can`t get in and out of their houses when they want to because of the prayers!! What a joke, who would have thought they could get away with this?
Appeasement seems to be the name of the game but it will not work, because the more you let them have the more they want! Israel is the perfect example of this but it never will bring them peace which I think they are now starting to realize!! There is no way left now but to fight for our civilizations!
