Yes, imagine the FBI and Homeland Security being interested in a Muslim who wrote about making war against "Satan's soldiers" and who bought body armor from China. Very odd.

Waheed must have been influenced and corrupted by the American culture. He may even think that the Creator gave him an unalienable right to life, but he distrust that the government can guarantee him this right, so he is protecting himself. In a way I can understand his mistrust. Every Americans constitutional right to defend themselves has been taken away from him, banning him from owing a handgun or even buy body armor.
Waheed is put in a difficult dilemma when there is a war out here and Satan's soldiers are on the attack, and he is not even allowed to defend himself. He will probably come to the conclusion that the only way is exchanging the bullet proof vest with an explosive one, and blowing himself up together with some of Satan's soldiers.

When will the public, and especially the politicians who should be trying to protect us, must finally recognize that the fact that most Muslims are peaceful ("quiescent" is a better description) doesn't cut it? Obviously it only takes a few jihadist for mass murder and the more Muslims around the more of these psychopaths for Allah will be around. Hence Muslim immigration to the land of the would be free must stop. And never mind the sweet photos of smiling hijabed women or smiling Muslim students, it doesn't matter. Muslim immigration to the the US should be severely limited or completely halted, at least IMO from Islamic countries, and a determined deportation program for non-citizen Muslims who are not needed should be implemented. This won't completely preclude future attacks from Islamists already here but it will help decrease future attacks.
It's unbelievable that we keep hearing the same excuse for a large Muslim population, viz. that most are quiescent. Imagine your children playing in your yard and a neighbor informs you that he saw a bunch of snakes near them, and then he tells you not to worry because most snakes in the area are not poisonous. A parent who found that reassuring would be as responsible as our political leadership.
Too bad no one can say such things in sucker-hearted Europe without getting arrested. IMO any Muslim population can reasonably be considered dangerous, and this experienced based awareness is not a phobia.

You're exactly right. If 5-15% of Muslims might consider participating in terrorism, then for every million Muslims there are 50,000-150,000 potential terrorists. For 20 million Muslims there are between a million and 3 million potential terrorists. If there'll be 50 million Muslims in Europe how exactly the authorities intend to cope with an army of 2.5-7.5 million potential terrorists?
And it doesn't stop there. In the Middle East many of the most radical movements have been suppressed to some degree of success in the past by the brutal dictators because they threaten to overthrow their regimes. But then their members found asylum in the west where they used the liberal norms and free speech to disseminate the most hateful materials and recruit members from the Muslim communities. If W Bush was serious about punishing states that harbor terrorists he should have probably started with Britain which has probably become the greatest terrorist threat to the US by now. Then he should have continued to Germany and France. At some point he should have attacked America itself for harboring terrorists. This is how absurd things have become.
This is how absurd things become when common sense is banished, demonized and even criminalized.
Besides, the immigration is one-sided - the number of westerners immigrating to Muslim countries is miniscule. People immigrate to where the wealth is. Muslim countries are not wealthy because their cultures and political "culture" (jungel law in most cases) inhibit growth. But there are about 7 billion people in the world and they can't all live in Europe and North America, so at some point mass immigration will have to stop anyway. So why not NOW?
Now is a good time to stop it, before there are even more potential terrorists and before the Muslims become subtantial minorities and finally majorities. Just cut your losses now and deal with the jihadi minded "youth" that are already there. Close the radical mosques, expell the radical imams and anyone that has anything to do with terrorism, sedition and hate filled propaganda.
And get some rational and intellectually honest people in the intelligentsia and the media. A civilization that lost her mind will not survive.
And while the west is obssessed with warning about the ever rising Islamophobia, I guess it takes a Muslim (the rare moderate type that your media don't want you to hear because he's too "Islamophobic" and not anti-Israel enough) to warn about what he sees as an unfolding "genocide of Christians throughout the Middle East". Ole, I teach English for Speakers of Other Languages in a minority-majority school in the USA. Sometimes, to quiet my class, I address the noisy students by name--"Jesus! Maria! Jose!" Yet I remain very much a Calvinist rather than a Roman Catholic.
And, I am not so sure that my various Pentecostal, Adventist, and Baptist [plus RC] Hispanic charges are necessarily going to be a deletrious influence in the USA. Believe me, if their parents had the chance, they'd learn English pretty quickly, too!

With things the way they are logistically, society could take serious damage in just 10 days. Criminals doan keep food for 10 days layin' around and the supermarkets only carry 3 days max.
I am prepared to keep what I have for me and mine. Those that would take from me will find it costly to do so.
I have seen what has happened elsewhere when the cops lose control, when the feral children of feral children ran through the streets unimpeded by societal norms. Los Angeles comes to mind as does New Orleans never mind Mumbai. Here in Alaska however, there is no permit required to carry concealed and most do. A jihadi wouldn't get off too many rounds before being dropped by some Armed Citizen.
