Referencing the Bible -- Since learning what Islam is all about, I began interpreting that part of 1John 2 where it says "they went out from us" in an enlarged, expanded sense -- so that, for me, "us" means not only Christians but all normal decent human beings everywhere, even Meccan pagan polytheists and Hindus and Buddhists, etc. When the word "us" is read that way that whole group of verses can apply accurately to Islam. And, interestingly, therein is given no solution except that we may know they are not us, thereby learning much about who and what WE are. So we gain something in self-knowledge from the whole horrible mess.

Referencing the early history of Islam -- Muhammeds first animus was against the pagan polytheists of Mecca, not the Jews. His move to Medina was motivated by his hope to be able to enlist the Jews of Medina as allies to attack the polytheists of Mecca. It has been conjectured Muhammed thought he could trick the Medinan Jews into thinking he was their Messiah. That part of it didn't go as planned, but he was able to recruit a small army of thugs (some of whom may have been Jews) to return with him to Mecca to battle his polytheist enemies there. Afterwards Muhammeds hatred of Jews escalated. Please note that whenever Muhammed chastizes Christians he calls them polytheists. Muhammed could have cursed Christians as "quasi-Jews" or something like that quite easily, but he never did.

And I think you really should read Mark Durie's "the third choice: Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom", for it extensively analyses the massive psychological warping undergone by the dhimmis. It will help you to see what was wrong with the Copts.

It is easy to say that the Copts should have stood up for the Jews at the time when the Jews were driven out of Egypt in the 1940s/ 1950s.

But please be realistic. Remember that the vast majority of Copts were and are abjectly poor - 'garbage people' - and that they were and are unarmed, just as defenceless as were the Jews, communities swamped by a vast and hostile Muslim sea that spews murderous lynch mobs at the snap of an imam's fingers, and that they have been conditioned for centuries - **just as Jewish dhimmis were conditioned** - to NOT RESIST and NOT COMPLAIN and NOT CRITICISE anything their Muslim abusers did, whether to themselves or to anyone else. Look what is happening to them now, the moment they dare even the smallest gesture of resistance? The full force of state power as well as the Muslim Mob is unleashed against them.

What, precisely, could they have done in the 1950s? Look at what has just been done to them. It is *exactly the same* as the Muslims have done to them since day one (Coptic history from the time of the Muslim takeover is littered with much worse atrocities inflicted on them by Muslims; which is why they are now a minority swamped by Muslims - Muslims have steadily ground them down).

Your unseemly anticipatory gloating over what appears to be an impending jihad genocide of the Copts, is wrong, and foolish.

No non-Muslim is wise to celebrate Muslim cruelty to any other non-Muslim. No non-Muslim should be pleased if Muslims massacre large numbers of a non-Muslim group that said non-Muslim does not like, for whatever reason; because all that that massacre means in the long run is that there are fewer non-Muslims relative to the size of the Ummah. And thus the Ummah grows, and free humanity is diminished.

If all the Copts of Egypt are murdered as the Armenian Christians were murdered - and I think it perfectly possible - then *you* may think that those eight million people richly deserved to die, and be pleased that the Muslims have carried out what you regard as proper punishment; but objectively speaking, it will mean that the Camp of the Infidels has just lost eight million people and is that much weaker.
