There is no surprise in this, except for those Westerners who buy the politically correct line that mosques are benign houses of worship that are never used for any nefarious purposes. In reality, mosques have been used to preach hatred; to spread exhortations to terrorist activity; to house a bomb factory; to store weapons; to disseminate messages from bin Laden; to demand (in the United States) that non-Muslims conform to Islamic dietary restrictions; to fire on American troops; to fire upon Indian troops; or to train jihadists.

So if an intelligence agency such as the CIA infiltrates a mosque and understands that there is a specific Guards member who runs it, then actually they could be very successful in drawing a chart of all the terrorist activities in that specific region. That's how central the mosque operation was.
Stakelbeck.: And that's in Europe--you were involved in some of these operations in Europe. How about the U.S.?
Khalili: It's absolutely the same. They recruit, they train, they sell the ideology of martyrdom, and many, many are guided and connected to terrorist groups. And you've seen this: many U.S. born citizens, Muslims, unfortunately, have been sold this idea and are sent to Al Qaeda camps or others. But the Iranians are very active in this country through the mosques and Islamic cultural centers to make those connections and run those operations.
Mosque=jihadist Walmart. This is why allowing more and more of them to be built in areas outside of the old ummah is suicidal yet the building continues unhindered. It's amazing what a little oil money placed into the right pockets can get done, isn't it?
The British experience
Having a mosque near you is about the worst form of property blight imaginable. Mosques act as the nuclei of Muslim ghettos around which ever-expanding no-go areas grow. Infidels are forced to sell their homes to Muslims at massively reduced prices by campaigns of intimidation including pedophile attacks, harassment, street jihad etc. Council tenants are displaced by Muslims who scream 'racism' if the local council doesn't preferentially house them near the mosque with their 'brothers and sisters in Islam'.
Unlike churches, mosques are not places of spirituality, peace and sanctuary. They are quasi-military citadels and centres of subversion, intimidation and aggression:

I don't think that anyone here is surprised by this article. I am not. Just a reminder that the culture they pratice in these "Islamic Cultural Centers" is the culture of subjugation or death. While we plan for a peaceful Thanksgiving, Christmas, Diwali, or Hannukah gathering in our places of worship, they plot, and boil with hate in their mosques.
No one here is surprised at learning this. And although it's good to know that Reza Khalili has been working with the CIA (but presumably not any more, since his cover is now blown - has a fatwa on his head been issued yet?), the question becomes, now what? Will the information be used to build a legal case for declaring mosques and Islamic "cultural centers" to be the centers of sedition and subversion that they are, and shut down and their leaders arrested and/or deported, as they should be? Or will the report simply be dutifully filed and then forgotten? My guess is that unless someone with muscle takes an interest in it, it will be the latter.
A member of Congress has the power to conduct hearings on these matters, and call witnesses and collect testimony, with the objective of enacting legislation that passes Constitutional muster to severely restrict the ability of Muslims to engage in subversive activities. Sounds like an issue Col. Allen West might be willing to champion.
