Ashley, I know how you feel.

But we have held this cat back before—at Poitiers, at Lepanto, at the gates of Vienna. We have even, at times, been able to drive the cat back—out of the Iberian peninsula, out of Greece, out of the Balkans, out of southern Italy and Sicily.

We have heroes to look to—Charles Martel, El Cid, Jan Sobieski, Lord Byron, and many others.

Byron took part in the Greek War of Independence: that is, he helped the Greek non-Muslims rid themselves of Turkish Muslim rule.

Many freedom-loving young Europeans admired and supported the Greek struggle.

Lord Byron was extremely sympathetic to Greek suffering under Muslim Turkish rule. His early poetry had contributed to educating Europeans about the cause. He was also concerned about the oppression of the Armenians by the Turks—things were bad even before the Armenian genocide. He helped compile the Armenian-English dictionary.

He spent his own money to retrofit the Greek fleet. In 1824 Byron joined the Greek freedom fighters at Missolonghi, Greece, and he died of fever there.

He is revered by the Greeks as a hero to this day.

It has been my observation that Islam has become a magnet for alienated and angry people. Islam has a firm presence on FB and other social networking sites, and no good can come from that. No need to be initiated into a gang for recognition...just a few keystrokes and you, too, can join with others in a shared spirit of hatred just for the hell of it.

That is what I'm seeing...driftless kids embracing Islam because it is "cool" and "controversial"...like smoking the newest hybrid of weed.

There's a shitload of angry youth out there, and what better timing for Islam to extend a "helping" hand.

Byron here is essentially voicing his fear that he and his compatriots were not up for the task of fighting back against Islam. After 400 years of Muslim tyranny in Greece, things must have looked at least as desperate to him and his contemporaries as our fight does now. But his cause *did* prevail.

My sympathies, but I think I may be able to help here.

Just read all of the self congratulatory, aggrandizing, pathetic rhetoric coming out of these islamic 'cats' and you'll see them more as merely feeble parasites. In numbers they are indeed potentially fatal but when treated correctly and immediately they are soon vanquished.

You're a big cat, Ashley, they're a nuisance unless you let them get out of control. Time for the flea shampoo!
