Interesting to note also Gina Gershon's and Danny Glover's presence in the film. Probably Hollywood's fashionable Leftism made acting in this America-hating screed seem to them to be a moral duty.
I suppose that there is no mention in the movie of how those minarets are the bayonets of the barking king of the "arabs pretending that the are not arabs", Recep Erdoclown, is there?

I don't know their marketing plans, but it looks like it is a very well made movie, technically. If they make a major PR effort in the US, I fear that a very high proportion of as-yet undecided young Americans will completely buy the movie's argument and thereafter filter all input through an implanted Islamic-victimization conspiracy theory which will quickly solidify until non-conforming facts will just bounce off.
Think about the teenagers and early-twentiers that you know. If you are a parent, look around and listen to the students at some school event. At least 80% would never even consider actually studying any topic for the simple goal of learning the truth. If they won't be graded or paid, they would prefer to let their favorite friends/actors/bands do their thinking for them. Years of school have taught them that immediate unthinking rejection and ostracism of criticism-of-any-minority-belief makes for morally superiority.
Packaging nonsensical conspiracies into a slick, fictional movie is a perfect vehicle to get susceptible youngsters to buy in. There is no expectation for arguments to be complete, and this audience is all to ready to gobble up every inference without any skepticism. The action scenes and high tech weapons and planes will draw tons of boys and young men to this movie. Just seen the trailer. It has Danny Glover praying as a Muslim in the Hagia Sofia. As we all know for centurys the Hagia Sofia, up untill the secularisation of Turkey was a Victory Mosque. Before Constantinople fell it was the largest church in Christendom.

I think the real story to this story is that the film is part of the overall plan to help raise awareness and funds for the Ground Zero Mosque in the Islamic world. It's important that they know that there is a victory mosque in the plans at Ground Zero. This is an educational tool. Likely many are not aware and/or not sure about their stance on it. With a propaganda film like this, many might be swayed and especially those who would contribute money to it.
As for the cost of the film, it would be remarkably small. Likely all the cast and crew worked for "the cause" and locations didn't cost anything. The only real expense would have to be paying the American whore actors. Danny Glover has pretty much lost his mind at this point, so he probably worked for scale and gave his money away to "the cause", while the other two will show up on Celebrity Rehab any day now.
Active participation by Turks in Stealth Jihad will be a game changer.

The same thought occurred to me, Blaine. Well made movies are powerful propaganda vehicles, and this does, indeed, look like it's very well made. The target audience of this movie is obviously the Muslim world, where it could do very well, indeed. The movie will serve to simultaneously feed anti-U.S. paranoia and indulge them in their fantasies of seeing minarets in the New York skyline a la Istanbul.
But well made movies are becoming rather common place, to the point where they don't attract as much attention as they perhaps once did on that account alone. And conspiracy movies in general don't usually do very well (think Oliver Stone), foreign made movies that are dubbed or subtitled even worse. While the movie will undoubtedly play well in Istanbul or Damascus or Tehran or Islamabad, somehow I doubt it will do well at Sundance or among general audiences in the West.
However, it could do very well in mosques in the West. Outside of the Muslim world, it is here I would expect it to find its natural audience, and might very well be used as a radicalization tool along the lines you have have suggested.
If Hollywood were a serious place there would be producers who would view this movie as a challenge to be countered. One could imagine a movie showing the replacement of the crescent atop the dome of Hagia Sophia with a cross, the tearing down of its minarets, and its restoration as Ναός τῆς Ἁγίας τοῦ Θεοῦ Σοφίας (Church of the Holy Wisdom of God), and resumption of Orthodox Christian services. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and Fethullah Gülen and Recep Erdoğan would undoubtedly take offense, but so what?

I came across this movie a few weeks ago but was confused as to what it was about. I couldn't believe it was it seemed to be, simply because of Robert Patrick. He's been so supportive of our troops and he was also in 'The Unit', which portrayed our military in a positive way, and Islamic terrorists accurately.
This is so heartbreaking for me. I am - or rather, was - a huge fan of his both on a professional and personal level. I cannot believe he's involved in something like this!
It does look like it has high production values.
And no doubt it promotes the Muslim-as-victim narrative, but I did notice there was one shot where 3 people in burkas rush out, throw the burkas off, and start firing machine guns.

It is indeed, RoP. The enormous medieval minarets—studded with loudspeakers—are towering over the Empire State Building under a glowering sky. No doubt they'd be depicted as looming over the World Trade Center as well, if Islam hadn't already brought those great buildings down. The Chrysler Building seems to be missing, as well.

I really don't have a problem with this movie. To me this might even qualify as free speech. But, remember, I too have free speech. The beauty of Capitalism is that movies can be rejected by the consumer and lose millions of dollars easier than it could become a "blockbuster". We need to hold such a high value on the free exchange of ideas; however an educated listener is more likely to agree with logic than propaganda. Why do you think the United States school system sinks lower each year? I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it is much easier to persuade the ignorant than the educated. I saw propaganda films from Rhodesia in the late 70’s that showed “white people” using some of the first ATMs in the world. The message was that “whites” got money for free by virtue of their skin tone. What I didn’t believe, at the time, was that anybody would actually believe this nonsense. Then I saw how it rallied the troops. There was an anger, which was fueled by propaganda, as crude as it was; it eventually led to what is now called Zimbabwe. And we all know how that worked out. Yes, there were racial injustices, but there was also a thriving economy and a government which was slowly starting to address the issues of the indigenous tribes.
