Boy I'd like to find that essay Fitzgerald did some time ago on the facts of how Israel came into being. I looked in his archives but couldn't find it.

What is this thing I keep hearing about hereabouts called "PC - MC"? Maybe it's a mentality which wants to fight the current political war according to the strategies which pertained to the previous war. That is, fighting some war considered to be going on today, as though you are fighting the war of yesterday. In this case the war of yesterday was WWII, and the main evil protagonist was a nationalistic and genocidal Germany. The PA daily may be right about Israel's aims and goals in theory, but if so, Israel is abysmally inept in putting them into practice. What nations has Israel "occupied" or "killed"? Where has it spread all this "destruction and ruin"? Maybe in the Sudan? No, that was done by Moslems. How about in Pakistan? No, that was by Moslems, too. How about in New York, Madrid, Bombay, Madrid? No, no, no, all those were done by Moslems, too. Afghanistan, the Phillipines, Somalia, Algeria? Sorry, Moslems in every case.
Probably half the countries of the world have suffered a Moslem attack in the last 20 years. The only "attacks" Israel has made have been in retaliation to Moslem terrorist attacks on Israel itself, and have been confined to Israel and maybe a five-mile wide periphery around its borders.

For the first time that I can think of I have heard someone say on a major media outlet that the support of Sharia is sedition ie: Imam Rauf ala the ground zero mosque. The question was, "could the mosque be built anywhere"? Gaffney responded that Rauf's public belief that America should be Sharia compliant was tantamount to sedition, and that no, he should not be allowed to build a mosque.
