“Robert Spencer incarnates intellectual courage when, all over the world, governments, intellectuals, churches, universities and media crawl under a hegemonic Universal Caliphate’s New Order. Andrew Klavan in PJTV said it perfectly - the only weapon the left has against the Truth is... "Shut Up!" And the apologists for Islam use the same tactic.
It's just too risky to speak out, as we sit here with silver spoons in our mouths enjoying the freedoms that our parents' generation actually had to fight and die for.
Like the spoiled inheritors of a fortune, we have squandered the achievements of the previous generation. While embracing the fuzzy ideologies of utopian and magical thinking, most of us have never had to fight for anything and as a result we cannot recognize threats, let alone find the motivation to protect our society from them. We hide behind "stop war" (surrender) banners, wave our candles and parrot the lyrics to Lennon's "Imagine" (the philosophy of a cow), confuse good with evil, all the while feeling good in our ignorant righteousness, too naive to believe that there are real enemies out there who want us dead. In fact, Iran spells it out regularly in government-led hate fests, teaching such caustic hatred to their children, who grow up knowing nothing else.
PM Stephen Harper gets it right in some ways and in others he folds just like the rest of our leaders. C'mon Stephen, most of us really aren't afraid to take a stand. If the National Archives won't play the film let's find other venues. Stand up to the Iranian mafia tactics. They can't kill us with their peacock feathers. We mustn't cower at the sight of them.
And please everyone, let's never "Shut Up".
