Back in the 80s I used to have a friend in London who was a Copt, the family had come to England to escape persecution in Egypt and even then they were conerned about the growing threat in London as more Muslims who coming there too. Seems they were right to think that way!
I suspect the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is behind this - after all, it was collaborating with or advising Hitler. And the large Armenian and Copt exile groups in Europe should be more active in order to stop Islamic-ruled nations like Bosnia, Albania and Turkey from joining the EU. Non-Muslims especially Christians and Jews are murderered or threatened under Islam, and even in the Judeo-Christian majority West, they find no safe sacntuary!

I am really glad to know we aren't at war with islam. I mean if one read the statement above one might be inclined to think we are. I am glad I have been set straight and realize that the above isn't a statement of war, it means they want to get all cuddly and lovey and smoochie until we all feel the love of islam and convert. But if you *did* ever find such a headline, the outrage around the world, especially in the West, would be—with good reason—enormous and very vocal. The opprobrium heaped on the would-be attackers would be huge.

And yet, any outrage over what is happening to the Copts is very muted.

I live in Alexandria, Egypt. A Muslim friend of mine advised me yesterday to stay away from churches and tell my family not to attend mass tonight. "Screw this !" I told him. This is what they want. They want us to hide like chicken inside. I'm not a churchgoer but I might go tonight to show my support. A lot of Muslims here are calling up their Christian friends and telling them they want to attend mass with them. Which is, in my opinion, a nice gesture after all. Some of them have told me that churches will not allow any non-Christians to attend mass tonight (our national IDs show the religion, believe it or not!).

I'm glad to hear that there *are* Egyptian Muslims willing to stand with their Christian neighbors, Dude.
You can imagine the church's dilemma, though—while I'm sure they are heartened by the support, it is also quite possible that a Jihadist would perversely take advantage of the situation to gain access to a church and then murder both Coptic Christians and his "insufficiently Islamic" co-religionists who are there to support them.
I'm familiar with the IDs—this is one of the tools used against apostates from Islam in Egypt—the converts often are unable to either get new Christian IDs or even continue to use their old Muslim IDs, so they are rendered virtual "none persons" in their own own country. They are also prevented from legally leaving Egypt because they are unable to get passports.

Terror threat on Australian churches
Threats of terror attacks on at least four Australian churches prompted police to protect thousands of Coptic Christians during their Christmas Eve services.
Police on Thursday surrounded the Coptic Orthodox churches in Sydney after a bomb blast killed 21 people during a New Year's Eve Coptic church service in Alexandria, Egypt.
Coptic Churches around the world are also on high alert as their Christmas Eve services are scheduled for Friday (Australian time).
On Thursday night in Sydney, bomb searches and police helicopters were part of the security measures that soured Christmas Eve celebrations.
Some church officials are worried that an attack may eventuate when least expected on any on of their churches, monasteries or schools in Australia.

Islam infects everything, and Australia is no exception. The coptic Christians here had two choices: forego their Christmas celebrations in their churches, or attend under heavy security, because they have received death- and bomb threats. Our Prime Minister so far has not even had the human decency to commiserate with the Christian victims. The media at large is like in the US: antisemitic, anti-christian, apologists, if not propagandists for Muslims/Islam/Jihads.
Except for a couple of stations, like Radio 2UE. A courageous Aussie broadcaster, David Oldfield, has started a petition to shame our cowardly Prime Minister into some honorable action, like condemming mass-murder.
