The Tiny Minority of Extremists™ seems to be fully in the driver's seat in Pakistan. "Slain Punjab Governor Taseer laid to rest in Lahore," by M Zulqernain for the Press Trust of India, January 5 (thanks to Ravi):
Lahore, Jan 5 (PTI) Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer, who was assassinated by his extremist bodyguard for opposing the controversial blasphemy law, was laid to rest with full state honours in this eastern Pakistani city today amid tight security....The funeral prayer at the Governor's House, scheduled for 1 pm local time, was delayed by almost an hour as several clerics reportedly refused to lead it following a call by an influential Islamic body.
Afzal Chishti, a leader of the ulema (clerics) wing of the ruling PPP led the 'namaz-e-janaza' or funeral prayer.
The imam of Lahore's Shahi Masjid and the cleric of the mosque at Governor's House refused to lead the prayer, sources said.
Such lovely people, the mahounds. Honorable even in death.
disgusting death cult, still harass people after their murder!

That would be the Muslims with the guns..
This should be seen as more evidence that the "extremists" are winning in the Islamic world. The convenient "moderate" label we so hope to entertain is increasingly shopworn.
No peace even in death. And other fine Islamic traditions. They seem to be in some sort of competition to see who can sink to the lowest depths. Long way to go to catch up with their hero, mad ham mu
This should be seen as more evidence that the "extremists" are winning in the Islamic world.
All Moslems are extreme cuz of their belief system, which extreme unto itself.

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels with the message, I am with you: give firmness to the Believers, I will strike terror into the hearts of the Infidels and smite them above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.
Some say cultural Moslem; some say extremist Moslem.
I say inactivated Moslem; I say activated Moslem.
It's just like a breaker switch in the electrical panel in your home. Except Moslem breakers switches are embedded in their backs. That's why many Moslem Men don't take their shirts off at the beach (those with very hairy backs do, and that's a big percentage of them).
For all those who say Islam can be "reformed" just like Christianity - One of the "safeguards" aganst "reform" in Islam

PS What is Obama and your Govt saying about this murder? A deafening silence? No condemnation?
So where are the apologists?
Hard to justify or put a positive spin on this whole sorry affair isn't it Islamic Empire?
Especially coming so soon after the awful and deluded events in Egypt, it must be hard to keep the faith.
Those 500 Pakistani scholars and clerics who have described the policeman who gunned down the Punjab governor Salman Taseer as a 'Ghazi' have essentially declared themselves the enemy of the Pakistani state which seeks to prosecute & punish him for murder. These men could even be considered as acting in a seditious manner, obstructing justice, and essentially calling for an end to this government which would punish a "Ghazi". Hence, it would seem wise, for obvious reasons, of the Pakistani Govt leaders to have all of these scholars and clerics arrested and so prosecuted.

With due respect to the dear departed Muslim and the 4 or 5 posters above who referenced the terms "moderate", "extremist" and/or "reform" or any recognizable phonetic variation on these:
Stop using the these words to describe Muslims, please.
Neither is there nor will there ever be any such thing as a moderate, nor an extremist muslim.
You are either a muslim or not. Period.
It does our cause no good to fall into "semantic" traps lain for us by the MSM and other apologists for clowns like the assassin we are all contemplating.

More like "fully in the open" from where I'm sitting.

Mohammed said I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah," and whoever says, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah," his life and property will be saved by me except for Islamic law, and his accounts will be with Allah...
If a Paki politician or general shirks Sharia, he dies. It's tough being a Moderate Moslem, you can get killed doing that. The beat goes on. Unicorns are dying.
