This is why I have no doubt whatsoever that Islam is the Devil's religion. Our (the Christians) Lord Jesus Christ refers to the Devil as a murderer and a liar and father of lies (see John 8:44, Holy Bible). And what do you know, Islam's specialty is deceit or deception and violence and murder.

But I must add this qualifier to Islam: Allah (Arabic) = God (English) = Holy Trinity (Christian/Catholic) means that Allah/God/Holy Trinity is not responsible for all the deception and violence associated with Islam or practiced by Muslims. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah

As regards atheism, I have no issues with atheists and agnostics of good will. But when we look at atheistic governments or regimes, both past and present (such as those of Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zhe Dong of the past, and the present Communistic regimes of China, North Korea, North Vietnam), they are no different in their despotism and practice of deception, violence, and murder than Islamic governments - particularly against Christians. These atheistic governments are no less demonic in their practice of deception, violence, and murder than Islamic governments. But only perhaps (with emphasis on "perhaps") to a lesser degree, the present communistic regimes of China, North Korea, North Vietnam, and the like, are guilty of such deceit and violence and murder.

In Islamic terms, "equal rights" means all have the 'equal' right to respect and obey Islam. Western ideals of "equality" have no meaning to them. So this is a semantic confusion of terms.

Heterodox Islamic sects, such as in the Amman message by Islamic scholars, 2005:

Etc... These have no real meaning in terms of "equality", except as a 'temporary truce' until one group gains power over another, and eliminates them, ala Islam's 1400 Jihad history.

Egypt is under siege by 'day of revolt' bigger problems today. Still too early to tell if this will go the way of Lebanon, where Shia-Hezbolla just assured itself a greater role in government, or will it go along the way of the 'Jasmine Revolution', or towards an Islamic Sharia-Mullahood ala Iran, still unresolved.

The danger of a Hezbolla lead govenment in Lebenon will certainly increase the violence in the region.
Israel will be the loser with increasing tensions and a need for Hezbolla to show its support for palistine.

Hitler was(publicly) a Roman Catholic. In private he had lots of weird beliefs. None of which were atheist in nature. Stalin was an atheist, but was a huge fan and supporter of The Russian Orthodox Church. Mao and Pol Pot were Asian, and Asian religions tend to reject the idea of God or Gods either way. So they weren't really atheists by Eastern standards. And the argument has been made that Communism is just a secular religion. Atheist Bertrand Russell had a nice little comparative piece on why Communism and Islam were so similar. Mr. Spencer used it in one of his books.

But there have been other Atheists/Agnostics/Secularists most people chose to ignore as such. Such as Thomas Jefferson, Mark Twain, Ben Franklin, George Washington, Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Ayn Rand, Karl Sagan, James Madison, Barry Goldwater, Steven Hawking, Voltiare, and Thomas Paine among others. No one lumps them in with Hitler and Stalin when they want to bash Atheists.

In fact, the most devout enemies of Islam tend to be atheists. Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sultan, Pat Condell, Douglas Murray, Christopher Hitchens, and Sam Harris for starters. So don't compare us to Islam. We're your neighbors and your allies. And we have been for centuries. Thanks.

I see this as a sign the mainstream is slowly waking up, one demographic at a time; be patient Virginia, it's a Good Thing!

Really? It guarantees nothing of the sort.

Article 2 (Egyptian Constitution):
Islam is the religion of the state and Arabic its official language.
Islamic jurisprudence is the principal source of legislation.

“Equality” is not an Islamic value.

Under sharia, “widespread discrimination against Egyptian Christians” is “justice” (for not seeing the light of Islam and converting).

The very fact that there are any Egyptian Christians at all reflects Muslim “tolerance.” For submitting to Islamic supremacy, they are allowed to live (and own property). Otherwise, they would be dead, forcibly converted or refugees.

And, of course, dar al-Islam is the abode of “peace.”

President Obama also considers “fairness” an Islamic value—maybe that has to do with the fact that all Christians aren’t persecuted all of the time, just randomly and some of the time.

Obviously, HRW doesn’t understand Islam, the religion of peace, tolerance, justice and now fairness.
