Mainstream media blames Sarah Palin, conservatives for shooting of Rep. Giffords, despite lack of evidence -- yet refused to talk Islam after Fort Hood jihad massacre

Pamela Geller shows here that the would-be assassin in Arizona is actually a Leftist, but when have the facts ever stopped the Leftist/Islamic supremacist smear machine? Mainstream media operatives are leaping to conclusions about conservative responsibility for the Giffords shooting, showing none of the delicacy and compunction they showed when refusing to label the obvious jihad massacre at Fort Hood accurately as just that. Here Lachlan Markay skewers their dhimmi double standard: "Media Falsely Blame Palin for Giffords Shooting, But Refused to Talk Islam At Ft. Hood," by Lachlan Markay for Newsbusters, January 9:

The colossal double standard revealed in the past 24 hours at CNN is a microcosm of the larger media reaction to the tragic shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords yesterday. In short, the reporters jumping at the chance to use the shooting to score points against conservatives would in all likelihood be demanding patience and temperance if the potential for political cheap shots weren't available.

The Washington Examiner's Byron York recalled CNN's reaction to the Fort Hood shooting in a post Sunday. The cable channel "became a forum for repeated warnings that the subject should be discussed with particular care."

The important thing is for everyone not to jump to conclusions," said retired Gen. Wesley Clark on CNN the night of the shootings.

"We cannot jump to conclusions," said CNN's Jane Velez-Mitchell that same evening. "We have to make sure that we do not jump to any conclusions whatsoever."

"I'm on Pentagon chat room," said former CIA operative Robert Baer on CNN, also the night of the shooting. "Right now, there's messages going back and forth, saying do not jump to the conclusion this had anything to do with Islam."

The next day, President Obama underscored the rapidly-forming conventional wisdom when he told the country, "I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts." In the days that followed, CNN jouralists [sic] and guests repeatedly echoed the president's remarks.

"We can't jump to conclusions," Army Gen. George Casey said on CNN November 8. The next day, political analyst Mark Halperin urged a "transparent" investigation into the shootings "so the American people don't jump to conclusions." And when Republican Rep. Pete Hoekstra, then the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, suggested that the Ft. Hood attack was terrorism, CNN's John Roberts was quick to intervene. "Now, President Obama has asked people to be very cautious here and to not jump to conclusions," Roberts said to Hoekstra. "By saying that you believe this is an act of terror, are you jumping to a conclusion?"

In stark contrast to that reaction, here's how York sums up CNN's coverage of the burgeoning story in Tuscon:

After reporting that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik had condemned what Dupnik called "the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government," CNN's Wolf Blitzer turned to congressional reporter Jessica Yellin for analysis. The sheriff "singled out some of the political rhetoric, as you point out, in creating the environment that allowed this kind of instance to happen," Yellin told Blitzer. "Even though, as you point out, this suspect is not cooperating with investigators, so we don't know the motive. President Obama also delivered that message, saying it's partly the political rhetoric that led to this. So that's why we want to bring up one of the themes that's burning up the social media right now. On Twitter and Facebook, there is a lot of talk, in particular, about Sarah Palin. As you might recall, back in March of last year, when the health care vote was coming to the floor of the House and this was all heating up, Palin tweeted out a message on Twitter saying 'common sense conservatives, don't retreat -- instead reload.' And she referred folks to her Facebook page. On that Facebook page was a list of Democratic members she was putting in crosshairs, and Gabrielle Giffords was one of those in the crosshairs."

Blaming Palin has become the media refrain of choice, despite the preponderance of evidence cited both at NewsBusters and elsewhere that Giffords's shooter was (a) crazy, and (b) of the radical left (to the extent that he had coherent political views).

NewsBusters also reported on CNN's eagerness to assign blame for the shooting on conservatives. It took mere minutes for them to find a few liberals to parrot boilerplate attacks against conservatives - devoid of any evidence, mind you, and before CNN could possibly have known the facts surrounding the shooting.

But not only did CNN and its guests urge viewers not to "jump to conclusions" after the Fort Hood shooting, in one segment, the channel went so far as to misquote an Army private - a victim of and eyewitness to the shooting - in order to cast doubt on his recollection that Major Hasan shouted "Allahu Akbar" before opening fire....

MSM makes a big mistake. Both acts noted by Mr. Spencer are evil! The mass murderer yesterday was evil (even if he is psycotic)and Islam is evil as well! Please note: Evil is NOT united. Palin and the conservative movement may not always be correct in their assesment of problems and the solutions but they are closer to reality than others. CNN, NBC, ABC, AND CBS are blind to the reality of the dangers inherent in the religion of PIECE(S)! Their perception of the truth is warped by their hatred of conservatism and JudeoChristain values.

@Robert Spencer

I think your analysis of the dangers of the fundamentals and tenants of Islam is cogent and compelling. Your analysis of Islam is either correct or not correct. So far, I have not heard or seen anyone prove you are incorrect on this matter.

Your association with Pamela Geller's politics gives one serious pause for thought, unfortunately.

Apparently Loughner is left wing and an atheist. Well that explains everything that is the pick-up sticks of American politcs now doesn't it? Or does it?

I hope America gets well soon, we need you.

In a commentary on the Roy Green show today I heard a Liberal voice their opinion. When asked by Roy who may have been the enemies of Gifford her parents said "the entire Tea Party".
That's peculiar. I have heard many Tea Party people say that Gifford was one of the Liberals they admired because she was a moderate Democrat. She questioned the Health Plan and she indicated that there had to be more border security.
That doesn't sound like the words of a left wing Democrat.

The MSM will continue their Palin bashing and Tea Party bashing and they will continue to support the Islamist cause in America.
There is no end to their idiocy.

If the dude was reading the commie manifesto, and MEIN KAMPH!!! Giffords was Jewish, and no one see any connection?

Are they daft?

There is a reason why much of the msm including cnn are losing their audience to Fox news. The real people know and understand the truth. the liberal elites for the most part are just talking to their very small audience. l would not say choir and most choirs l know come from churchs which liberals do not attned for the most part. the people on the right and center need to stand up to these non-stories, and stand up for the people like Sarah Palin, Rush, Sean Hannity, etc.

The best we can do is push back HARD using facts, like what Robert has posted here, what I have at my blog and the dozens of posts I've collected from fellow bloggers who are dedicated to debunking leftist/islamist LIES which you can see at a page I run at facebook. Go there, collect the links & share them, everywhere, re-blog them, email them to the papers and tv stations and you elected officials, print them out and pass them as fliers - whatever it takes to force the rest of America to finally hear the TRUTH instead of the hateful bullshit that those assholes are just MAKING UP and parroting as if it were fact all over the enemy media.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/ANTI-CRAPTASTIC/127576023926747

Until some right-minded people get together & give us our own TV station, this is what we must do.

The Telegraph just tees off on Liberals in America for how they are using this politically.

http://www.bluecollarphilosophy.com/2011/01/the-telegraph-blasts-american-liberals-over-response-to-arizona-shooting.html

Should have seen it coming. A perfect "crisis" for Democrats to use.

No sane American let alone Tea Party Patriot would ask for the blood of another American because of difference of opinion. I don't see any TPP's singing in the streets for the death of Senator Gifford. I do see thousands of Muslims in the streets calling for the death of the West for actions such as a stupid cartoon and the media never making mention of it. These people on CNN, and the rest of the mainstream media deserve their just deserts of lost audiences to their diabolical interpretation of what's really happening here in the U.S. The media disgusts me and I am sure I am not alone. Funny how the Internet is becoming the real source of truth and understanding. What really is eating away at the media is the results of the last voting in of the new House. They are grasping at their last breath. Newsrags are dying on the vine as they should, next is the death of mainstream media. This is why they are trying to destroy the freedoms experienced on the internet by bringing back the Fairness Doctrine ( more like Silence the Public Doctrine). One other thing in response to heatfishs' commentary of Pamela Geller. Get over it heatfish, Pamela and Robert were born to be together, they are both becoming the wave of truth and force to be dealt with. They are giving anti-sharia forces the information and the guts to get out there and wage anti-jihad war. Ground Zero is the next big wave of confrontation against these radical imams that will in fact face the music sooner than later.

At first, I really disliked Sarah Palin, but since she has become a political football of the MSM, I'm starting to like her.

Great find, Blue Collar Todd, thanks! I have added your blog to my blogroll here:
http://zillablog.marezilla.com

I thought of that too. Like, a fan of Mein Kampf attempting to murder a Jewish politician and everybody accuse Palin. Dah. It might not be connected, but while we don't yet know his motives and things are investigated, it's at least worth mentioning? I mean, if we still had real reporters in the west instead of a political party using the media as a mouthpiece.

The guy most certainly isn't a Conservative - there's no Conservative who counts The Communist Manifesto among his favorite books, it's a contradiction in terms. The Communists are the ones who wanted to supposedly "continue the revolution" while the Conservatives wanted to conserve the achievement of democracy, so the Conservatives are defined, among other things, by their opposition to Communism. The Tea Party people, whether you like them or not, cannot be accused of sympathy to Communism while they are the most ardent objectors to anything that smacks of even mild socialism.

I can't describe him as a great American patriot either, which is also the opposite of the Tea Party movement.

The guy is definitely a lunatic and was influenced by a variety of political revolutionary ideas from different and maybe opposite sources, but seems very far from the values espoused by the Tea Party. For the media to immediately accuse the right while the murderer regrads The Communist Manifesto among his favorite books is disingenuous. They're lying, but what else is new?

The question is how do we "overthrow" them. It's not the elected guy in the White House that is the problem. He most likely wouldn't have been elected if all the information about him and his unsavory connections had been available to the public through the mass media. The problem is the unelected leftist party that took over the information professions - the academia and the media - and uses its power over public opinion to shape American politics, and westersn politics in general since the leftist takeover is not exclusive to the US.

From the sample of this man's purported 'writings' that I have seen - a rambling and bizarre stream-of-consciousness screed, even *more* incoherent than the Quran, and that's saying something, and containing much that is not recognisably 'right' or 'left' wing, by any stretch of the imagination - I would say that the guy is a classic paranoid schizophrenic.

Had he been born to a sober Republican household he would probably have been just as dangerous (unless he was picked up on, and tucked away safely in a secure facility); psychiatric disorders of this sort aren't caused by your or your family's politics, you're *born* with them, your neurological wiring or chemistry transmissions having been screwed up by something or other...sheer bad luck.

I have a cousin with schizophrenia; and a very nice lady at our church has a son with schizophrenia, who causes her a great deal of worry. It's an awful illness; and it *is* an illness, striking families all over the planet.

(That said: if a Danish long-term study, recently completed, that found that babies born with very low levels of Vitamin D in their blood, due to their mothers being deficient during the pregnancy, had twice the risk of developing schizophrenia as they grew up, than babies born with normal/ healthy levels of Vitamin D in their blood, is correct, then the Ummah might be more prone to getting schizophrenics, than other cultural groups - for the Muslim female slave rag promotes major Vitamin D deficiency).

Robert Spencer is than rightwinger. First no left winger would murder than any congressperson. But the Tea Party teabagger where use virlont images and word against congressperson who voted for heal;th care. An the ISNA isnot than Islamist terrorist group so Robert Spencer stop speading that lie. I am getting ready to discredit the FBI MEETING IN PUBLIC at the mosque by bring up case where the FBI fail to protect Muslim cival right in america from rightwing Islamoprobic racist and also the FBI use Robert Spencer fot traiming agents about ISLAM.

Here, as cited *here*

http://www.newenglishreview.org/blog_direct_link.cfm/blog_id/31796

is the full list of books that this man listed as his 'favourites'.

Now, Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto are bad books, not only bad morally and politically, but also *bad* writing, in the purely technical sense.

The others on the list, however, include a range of modern and pre-modern western literary classics; and perfectly acceptable works of children's literature (unless anyone regards Lewis Carrol and the author of 'The Wizard of Oz' as leftist revolutionaries?).

"Animal Farm,

Brave New World,

The Wizard Of OZ,

Aesop Fables,

The Odyssey,

Alice Adventures Into Wonderland,

Fahrenheit 451,

Peter Pan,

To Kill A Mockingbird,

We The Living,

Phantom Toll Booth,

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest,

Pulp,

Through The Looking Glass,

The Communist Manifesto,

Siddhartha,

The Old Man And The Sea,

Gulliver’s Travels,

Mein Kampf,

The Republic, and

Meno".

Okay, everyone. Answers, please.

Suppose you didn't know that this list had been compiled by a paranoid schizophrenic who had just tried to assassinate a congresswoman.

Suppose you found it scribbled on a piece of paper on a cafe table, under the heading 'favorite books'.

what, if anything, would you be able to deduce about the politics and mental state of the person who had written that list?

Defender of Islam "says" above:

"First no left winger would murder than any congressperson."

and:

"cival right in america from rightwing Islamoprobic racist"

and:

"But the Tea Party teabagger where use virlont images and word..."

May I suggest, firstly, Mahound, that the next time that you decide to post ANYTHING in the English language on the internet, please reconsider. Attempting to understand what I think you are trying to say is much too difficult, believe me.

Next, allow me to refute your stupidity. Ever heard of Harvey Milk and the "twinkie defense"? I'm betting 500 well-stepped -on Korans that you haven't. San Francisco - card carrying liberals all - one shot his congressman dead.

Thirdly you mention "islamoprobic racist". Let's remember now Mohammed boy, your so-called religion IS NOT A RACE, dumbass. What's more, if you had the slightest idea of the jokes that are coming on this thread as a result of your stellar orthographic skills,("islamoPROBIC???")you would go chop your own head off in pure shame.

Finally, ANY mention of tea by a Mahound gives me the creeps, so bugger off, tea-boy.

The depth of the mental illness suffered by most progressives should give everyone pause. This is but one small example.

Look.

I've seen a lengthy sample of his writings.

This man comes across to me as a classic paranoid schizophrenic. He is utterly incoherent because *his brain is malfunctioning* due to some major screw-up that he was *born with* and that manifested, as such things do (manic-depression is another) in adolescence.

And such people - *born* with a major neurological malfunction, through no choice or action of their own - can be born into families from any walk of life and from *any* religious and/ or cultural background, and *any* type of political allegiance.

His upbringing and his politics didn't cause his madness.

Had he be born (complete with his neurological glitch) into a deeply-Christian family deep in the Bible belt, who always voted Republican, he would *still* have gone crazy, and become a danger to himself and everyone around him.

Because that - tragically - is what paranoid schizophrenia does to those unlucky enough to be born with the glitch that causes it.

Defender, you weren't brought up among people who were always calling for the blood of "the fascist insect" (hat is, anyone who thought Castro was a loon, challenged the notion that Ho Chi Minh was just a "democratic nationalist", and Mao an imperialist for what he was doing in Tibet--and Sharki Turkistan). American Communists used to love to talk about strangling the last preacher with the guts of the last Congressman.

There are vicious people on all sides of the political spectrum.

And, since you both love the Left and defend Islam so much, what do you think of its record in places like East Turkistana, Gansu, Qinghai, Yunnan, etc. where the Communists forced Muslim farmers to raise pigs; cut off Mullahs' beards, and forced them to swallow pork fat?

Or, what do you think of the Soviet occupation of southern Azerbaijan (Iranian territory) in 1946, where imams were buried alive?

Zilla,
I looked at your Facebook, although I didn't have time to read it completely yet.

I was impressed by your emphasis on preventing the lone wolf attacks. I think these sorts of attacks are one of the biggest dangers to our form of politics. Whether it's attacks on John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, George Wallace, Gerald Ford, or Ronald Regan, the democratic debates are stifled and ended by mentally-ill psychopaths. It's meaningless to draw a conclusion from their actions, except the one you drew: that our public figures must be protected from their sick means of self-expression.

Having said that, it is my opinion that Sarah Palin's map, where she targets politicians with bullseyes, was and is in extremely poor taste. And, I would have said that before the Giffords shooting. Drawing a map with targets is a way to enrage liberals and energize part of the conservative element. It's a good way to raise money, but a lousy way to win a national consensus.

The only way we will get a sane immigration policy which limits Muslims as such is with a coalition with Democrats. There is no other way. Giffords was exactly the type of Democrat who could be worked with. Why did Palin target her specifically?

My hope is that we can be more rational in our politics. The first priority is to find ways to eliminate the lone wolf attacks, while protecting the rights of individuals.

DDA, sorry to hear about your family's difficulties with schizophrenia. I too have a family member who may have it in the prodromal (early onset) form. One thing that I have noticed in this case is that if the affected individual is "high functioning" then the illness is not obvious - in fact after two years with several mental health professionals we still have no definite diagnosis. All of these news reports claiming that Representative Giffords' assailant was "obviously" mentally ill are merely hindsight.

BTW, schizophrenia may not just be bad genes either, please see:

http://discovermagazine.com/2010/jun/03-the-insanity-virus/article_view?b_start:int=2&-C=

It would make sense that the cause of schizophrenia is a virus in our DNA, and that various factors including immune system failures (vitamin D deficiency among others?) could bring it out to attack the brain.

Another factor with schizophrenia has to be culture. It would make sense that schizophrenia is underreported in the Islamic world, since paranoia concerning Jews and kuffars is accepted and violence against them is sanctioned by jihad.

Strong language incites folks, alas!
Frenzied talk is both dangerous and crass.
Such awareness sure should
Get applied to Fort Hood,
But it doesn't -- Islam gets a pass.

Mainstream media blames Sarah Palin, conservatives for shooting of Rep. Giffords, despite lack of evidence
.......................

And it's not over yet. I just heard KCBS's "Washington analyst" Marc Sandalow babbling that Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck have noted that "Muslims say you can behead people", and that that—somehow—incited the horrific shooting of poor Congresswoman Giffords and her staff and constituents.

How does citing—*and condemning*—violence in others supposedly incite violence? Whatever your opinion of their views, I have never heard either of these two commentators call for any kind of violence.

Moreover, Congresswoman Giffords is very much known as a moderate, mainstream—even somewhat conservative—"blue dog" democrat.

Jared Lee Loughner, meanwhile, may well be represented by the same lawyer who defended Timothy McVeigh, the Unibomber—and Zacarias Moussaoui. Make of that what you will.

First for than time lots of people where turn offr by the vililate rightwing attack speech which they use to attacked people. I NEVER HEAR THAN LEFT WING PERSON USE JUST TACTRIC AND LANGUAGE IN THEY SPEECH. SARAH , and other rightwing like Glem Bech are stiring up political vilate in America today. CALIF police have than shoot out with one of Glem Bech listerner who listern to his show sayingt that go out there than attack the ACLU.

HEY!! D*PSHI*!!

I told you to please not post anymore. You're illiterate, just like your camel-boy prophet.

Go study english!! Your rantings are incomprehensible.
