'No one wants to stand up and say that Pakistani guys in some parts of the country are recruiting young white girls and passing them around their relatives for sex, but we need to stop being worried about the racial complication.'...
Charities and agencies working in conjunction with the police to help victims of sexual abuse in such cases have publicly denied there is a link between ethnicity and the on-street grooming of young girls by gangs and pimps.
But in 17 court cases since 1997 where groups of men were prosecuted, 53 of the 56 people found guilty were Asian, 50 of them Muslim, while just three were white, according to The Times....

I will go out on a limb, here, and suggest a different conclusion.
The article's complete thought is:

As I read that, the author is noting that of the 56 perps, 53 are 'Asian', and of that group 50 are Muslim.
The term 'Asians', as used in the U.K., definately creates confusion as it includes persons from the Indian sub continent and surrounds--of all religions.
In other words, the other three 'Asians' might have been Hindus or Sikhs.

It's been going on a damn-site longer than just "more than a decade" try 40 years of more. When Pakistanis started coming over to England in the 1960 the first to arrive were young men on their own, those who were married eventually brought their wives over, the singles generally went back to get married and then returned with their new wives.

I am afraid this story is nothing new. It must be 10 years since the BBC of all people actually reported that parents from Keighley in Yorkshire went to see the Home Secretary (Minister for the Interior) in London. Despite their complaints the local police were doing nothing to protect their daughters from “Asian” groomers. Cases appear across the north and east England wherever there are Asian colonies and by all accounts the girls targeted come from good - but not wealthy - homes. I think some were reported as young as 13 which is a very vulnerable age.
The story also appears every couple of years in the national and local press but reports are "low key" so as not to damage "community cohesion". In Lancashire about two years ago a couple of "Asians" were jailed for it. However there the local MP, our sometime Minister of Justice, Jack Straw, enjoys excellent relationships with the Asian community as he depends on their votes. No doubt his influence made it possible for local police to ask "community leaders" nicely if there would not mind the offenders being prosecuted. The problem there had been reported in the quality National paper, The Sunday Times, but it still took about 3years before anything was done and they only prosecuted 2-3 to scare the rest of them off.
Don't blame the police too much as they cannot trust their own people particularly since the BBC infiltrated a reporter into them five years ago to hunt out racists. I think they got 11 traffic police fired for targeting Asians drivers. Knowing the contempt Asians have for traffic law most would have thought they were doing their job. I can assure you that dealing with all minorities and muslims in particular the police are terrified.

Channel 4 made a documentary on this very subject a couple of years ago, but were prevented by the then Labour government from broadcasting it.
I saw a BBC video (it can be found on youtube) about this sort of thing going on in north england. That was actual pimping for criminal gain. The ages given were 12-16 and the number the home office gave wasn't 500- it was 5000. Five Thousand pre teen and teen western girls targeted, seduced drugged up, beaten and pimped out by muslim men for muslim men. The pimps were Pakistani but there is no way to know who all the "johns" were.
I found it while trying to debunk a myth about a supposed "rape jihad" I had seen on disreputalble anti jihad (realy anti muslim) sites. Rape stories are always used in war propoganda so I thought I should give it a more serious look.
People were conflating true but unrelated stories into one big organized religious inspired assault that was not happening. A lot of the stories linked to other blogs that linked to other blogs and so on. I found no evidence of religious/jihad sourced organized conduct as the largest cases cited were criminal groups in england or french ghetto gangs that gang raped muslim girls from the same housing projects and used the girls (specifically their families) shame of admiting to have been raped to protect themselves from the law. Clerics would make offencive comments trying to score points after the cases became public but there was no evidence or even usubstantiated hearsay that they were instigating or commanding the behavior at all (beyond of course what is in the islamic religious teachings).
I didn't publish my findings because while there was no evidence of a "rape jihad" at all, the verifiable facts were so horrible they would have increased irrational anti muslim feeling instead of cooling people down over the matter.
I accept what you say about there being no “Rape Jihad” as such but the fact remains that a great many muslim men are getting away paedophilia in the interests of community cohesion. The Koran uses the same word for a non-muslim woman as for whore and that must contribute the mind set of muslim men. It is common knowledge that muslim girls born and educated in Britain are shipped back to Pakistan and Bangladesh at the age of 12 to either be married or preserved from Western influences and married in due course*. The usual liberal defence of unacceptable minority practices, “Its part of their culture” is certainly true in this case it just happens that a lot of the girls white. Of course we also have the example of Mohammed the perfect man who screwed a nine-year-old. If he did it its OK.
The fact remains that these cases have been well known for over 10 years now and the authorities have done nothing for the very reason you give - They did not want to increase anti-muslim feeling.

The staff knew that whatever they did, however bad their work, they would not be fired. From the police in provincial cities to the Houses of Parliament the authorities are afraid of them and they know it.

Agree up to a point, but there IS a degree of public outrage, ie: the EDL. Although they are consistently demonised in the rotten PC/MC MSM, the membership is growing day by day, as is the KNOWLEDGE of what islam is all about, including sharia. The problem is the rotten msm in Britain. I would say a large number of indigenous and infidel UK citizens glean their 'knowledge' of islam from the mealy-mouthed vapourings of the bbcrap. Newspapers such as the Express and the Mail are dismissed by many as middle-class right wing nutters. Then of course you have the 'liberal' chattering morons who worship the guardian, loathe their own culture and people.

This needs to go viral now - on blogs, in every single newspaper, to every single MP until the lily livered Stasi type of political thought police who have kept us in thrall for long enough are pushed aside.
Jan I agree 100% about public outrage. It starts with you and me and other like minded people. I would like to link up with others who say they want to be heard but so far all I have come across is the "tut tut" brigade - those who say how awful it is (like Cameron) but are too scared to be thought of as racists so they enable it by staying silent. Jan, you must know others who feel this way - isn't it about time everybody joined forces? There must be a way to exchange details and start lobbying - any ideas? If you can find a way, then count me in.
It is important that we define this as racism of the most evil kind- perpetrated on non-Muslim white girls by Muslims as part of their religion.
