Exactly right, TS. Islam would not grow at all, in fact it would shrink precipitously, were it not enforced by onerous force of punishment and death by the 'slaves of Allah'. The real numbers of those who are really "Muslim" are probably orders of magnitude below their braggadocio claims. Give them "freedom of choice" on all fronts, religious and otherwise, and watch their numbers crash. Still, no matter how few, these 'slaves of Allah' can still cause a great deal of damage to our social well being and freedoms.
Look at what happens when they over breed in their large swath of Islam, where they over breed, shit their nest and fail economically. Some time ago I told Oxfam to never again expect contributions from me - for the very reason that the African Aid agency said.
I have absolutely no problem giving aid to those devastated by flood, drought, and crop failure. I DO have problems supporting indolents whose main aim is to shag as often as possible, produce as many kids as possible and rely on someone else to provide without ever working.

I would advise that any Islam-aware Briton who does not actively define himself or herself as an atheist, should consider finding a local church to attend, at least once a month. Hunt around and look for one where the priest, pastor or vicar has at least the beginnings of a clue that Islam is evil; alternatively, just find a church that's not too dhimmified and then, once you've established some credibility as a bit of a regular, start quietly sharing with people the Barnabas Fund information booklets - e.g. 'What is Sharia?' and 'Islam and Slavery', and so on. Put Mark Durie's two books 'Revelation?' and 'The Third Choice' into the parish library if they've got one.
Same deal in the rest of the West: in Europe, Canada, Australia, USA; and I'd give similar advice to Filipinos and to any Latin American or Caribbean person who may be listening in, here.

Non-Muslims everywhere in those countries as yet not dominated by Muslims, but under threat, have to find ways of energetically affirming and practising and enjoying *their own* culture and belief system, emphasising all the good, pleasant and lovely things in it, the things that Islam forbids, hates, attacks and destroys.
Islamosavvy Jews - unless out and out atheists - should go to synagogue regularly and find ways of raising the alarm about Islamification. Join your group, enjoy being with your group, strengthen your group, warn and inform your group, and find ways to connect it with other non-Muslim bodies who are becoming aware of the menace presented by Islam.
Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, Taoist, same deal.
People who are nonreligious should consider forming groups, too - stake out a pub or a cafe or a library meeting room, or form a dog-walking club, or something; get together, brainstorm, and network, and find something you can do to resist Islamisation of *your* patch.
If you're involved with Scouts or Guides, as a parent or grandparent, aunt or uncle, then you've got a perfect opportunity to spread the alarm, if you play your cards right.
If you're a parent of schoolchildren, then you have to take part in the P & C, the School Board, the PTA, whatever it's called in your country; then ...educate, educate, educate the other parents.
I find the PEW projections to be on the low side, though they claim they are aiming for a medium position.
They cut off the projection at 2030. At 2030, most of the non-Muslims who were born the latter part of the post WW II baby boom will still be alive, though in their final years. Go to 2040, and by then almost all of them will have died and you will have a quite different picture in terms of Muslim versus non-Muslim percentages of the population. That is, if present trends and policies continue, there is going to be a large increase in the percentage of Muslims in the population in North America and Europe between about 2030 and 2040, simply due to the elderly baby boomers dying.
Projections are difficult because, as the PEW authors note in their article (linked to from the AOL article), unexpected events and changes in policy can radically alter the demographic composition. For example, if the West were to cut off or limit severely immigration from countries that have sharia, the influx of Muslim immigrants would be drastically reduced.
Percentages are not the only measure we should consider. Distribution is also important. Muslims tend to cluster together in Muslim communities in the West, which often become dangerous "no-go areas" for non-Muslims. And, in any case, even a small percentage of Muslims in the population can have a large and broad impact on politics, the media, and academia.
I suspect that PEW did not factor into its estimates traditional Islamic policy on having larger families than the non-Muslims do.

These will be births registered in backward Muslim countries where the number of birth certificates does not necessarily tally with the number of babies. This could be for a few reasons, one could be the amount of aid and other handouts based on the population of a particular country.

I think there might be something wrong with the numbers CNN used to report this same kind of news.
According to the CNN article, there were 1.1 billion Muslims in 1990. In 1990, from the sources I was able to find, the world population was 5.2 billion. If this is true, then around 25% of the world's population in 1990 was Muslim.
Todays estimates place the Muslim world population somewhere between 1.2 - 1.5 billion. With the US Census bureau saying that the current world's population is around 6.8 billion. If we calculate somewhere in the middle, at 1.3 billion Muslims world-wide, it would appear the % of Muslims in the world is getting smaller (around 21-22%). Someone is going to have to run the numbers to double check.
Doesn't someone at CNN actually check numbers before publishing?

There is one thing *I* would like to know.
What is the penetration of AIDS-HIV in the world's Muslim population?
Strikes me that given the widespread practice of sodomy among male Muslims ('dancing boys' and all the rest of it), the abnormally high number of *heterosexual* couples within the Ummah practising anal sex (there are various anthropological type studies that have flagged this aspect of Mohammedan behaviour), FGM in a significantly large subset of the Ummah probably rendering women more prone to picking up the virus, and the fact that male Muslims are rarely faithful to their wife or wives, AIDS should be spreading like a bushfire.
Not to mention the prevalence of sex with young boys and the very widespread sexual abuse (usually incestuous) of young girls...all of which should surely tend to infect people in childhood.

Yes, Muslims outbreed Kafirs, and yes, they thus have many angry young men, very energetic, but not (yet) wise or occupied with families and jobs. And yes, they will migrate to Democratic Nations.
But what if all this is regarded as a challenge? The Citizens of Democratic Nations need strength of purpose and unity against the ideology to beat; Islam.
And for that they need much knowledge and clarity about both Islam and Democracy in order for them (especially the women!) to make a real good informed choice.
Hopefully education, the computer, internet, english, facebook or twitter, will give this ever more of this knowledge and clarity to ever more young people, even in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, Syria. On facebook I (from Holland) have friends from that region, with whom I communicate (in English) with short messages.
We need to quit feeding & housing them free of charge so their 4 "wives" can breed at will. We need to keep them out of North America and wall them in within the Middle East. Then they may breed at will in their very large, all muslim, walled-in conclave where they may only prey on each other and not the non-muslim innocents. Just my 2 cents.
I am down here in Brazil checking my morning e-mail and reading my daily intake of Jihad Watch, while reflecting on my last 4 weeks of visiting Brazil. I have been to five cities and am currently in Rio, would anyone believe that I have only seen 1 woman in a burqa. We are heading back to Canada soon where I will walk casually through the mall and see at least 50 people wearing burqa´s in a half-hour stroll. Certainly I am not saying that there is not a community of muslims down here in Brazil, I know there are. But not nearly in the numbers as we have inn North America. Yes, eventually the numbers will grow here also, if we don´t wake up and push back this assault on the west and the free world. Let´s start having more babies, and fighting for our way of life.
How is the breakdown? Is the bulk of this growth happening within dar ul Islam itself, in cesspools like Bangladesh, or is it the Muslim population in dar ul Harb? Both are problematic, but the former less than the latter.

While in the United States, Moose-slims are breeding like rats. This is their policy, to eventually out number the "infidels" and incorporate their own sharia laws upon the unwilling. Wake up America before it is to late. Change your immigration policies and strengthen your internal laws because these barbarians are going to break your welfare and Obamacare system. Trust me!

I agree, and I'm tired of waiting too. I say deport all Muslims out of the USA and into Arabia. Some have said it's too ambitious.

It is one of the great ironies of Islam that the more Muslims there are, the lower their individual odds of being able to perform the Hajj.
The number of Muslims in the world is irrelevant, if they stay in their own countries. Let them live in overpopulated congestion like Bangladesh. Allah will surely take care of them.

Yes—I'm familiar with this site. Very instructive, and very disturbing. The striking thing is that even when Muslims are living in Dar-al-Harb, so often they send back to the "old country" for spouses—partly to bring in more immigrants, and partly to ensure no one gets too "Westernized".
Now, every population of new immigrants does this to some extent initially—but usually only for one or two generations at most. From what I've read, Muslims go on and on with this behaviour. Not healthy at all.
The only solace in this is that liberalism and multiculturalism will be tossed into the dust bin of history.
