What could be more intrinsic to a Muslim's "freedom of religion" than plotting Jihad terror in his own mosque?

An FBI informant who infiltrated a California mosque violated the constitutional rights of hundreds of Muslims by targeting them for surveillance because of their religion, the ACLU and a Muslim group said in a lawsuit Tuesday.

False and unreasonable accusation. The reason FBI and Homeland Security are interested in what happens at the mosque is because they had been vortex centers of anti-American activities from which emerge dangerous and seditious jihadists, covertly supported through finances of their 'anti-social' violent activities both here and abroad. This is not a 'religious' reason for their surveillance, except as they try to paint it that way. This is surveillance of what is being said and done to promote activities that affect our public health, our societal safety, our freedom from their violence, as well as protecting OUR 'freedom of religion'. The ACLU and Muslim groups, whether knowingly or not, have got it backwards. It simply makes a stronger case why they should be under surveillance (though it is done at public expense and could be eliminated rather quickly by closing them down). This lawsuit is only one more example of using our law courts for seditious political agenda purposes. It should be dismissed as unreasonable and frivolous outright. In fact, Muslim groups should be SUPPORTING the FBI in this cause, not obstructing it, if we are ALL to have our religious freedoms protected. (Why don't they understand this simple principle?)

I'm going to go with the FBI. This what they should do in every mosque.

Why should relilgious groups be immune from surveillance? If there were suspicions that Satanists were sexually abusing children, would law enforcement refrain from infiltrating Satanist ceremonies or using Satanist informants? If not, why shouldn't Islamic religious establishments be treated the same way with respect to terrorism?

I don't understand. Unless specifically stated, places of worship are open to the public. How is it illegal for an FBI operative, whether on duty or not, to simply walk in, sit down, and listen? How is this legally any different than attending an open-air rally or demonstration?

Of course no other religious institution would object to an FBI man attending services, and it's obvious what the Muslims are afraid they will discover, but what legal leg are they standing on? How does a Federal agent walking in an open door free to all guests, infringe on their right to religion or assembly?

Round them up from their "barracks" and deport them NOW!!!!

BUT, do we ever hear on just 1 Conviction or arrests, do we see just 1 minute of security video that proves who the vandal is , or if the attack was real and not some Taqqiyah warrior for Allah to attack the Mosque and blamethe Zionist/Christian pigs .

According to the Insurance Companies a Mosque is just a building when it's empty...so I'd like to see what the Comprehensive Coverage package is for Damages and Fire provisions.

If anyone in the Insurance business knows of a Policy for any Mosque, it would be interesting if you reviewed the File and confirmed if the Mosque CHOSE to not have video survelance.

I say this because in canada a Mosque was torched at about 3:00 am to the females entrance only and then windows smashed with entry to spray 'Jesus-rules' on a wall.
But the 9-1-1 call was made by the Mosque Costodian whom just happened to be there and didn't hear the breaking glass but did smell the fire.

What about the constitutional rights of all those innocents targetted by this religion? Don't they have a right to life? Isn't the right to life more important than the right to privacy in a public house of worship?

This is really going too far. Simply put, not an individual and not a nation can survive without common sense. If liberal democracy gets to a point that it severely cripples the ability of a nation to defends itself and of its citisens to have basic personal security, the democratic system will not survive. When chaos will reign and death and terror will fill the streets, if liberal democracy doesn't allow the nation to defend itself the people will go for anything that will restore normalcy to their daily lives. Therefore in order to keep liberal democracy it needs to be flexible enough to allow defense. There should be a recognition that sometimes basic rights conflict with each other, and then a reasonable compromise should be found. It's unreasonable to wiretap the home and work environment of each and every Muslim citizen, but when mosques are known for illegal activities, sedition and incitement to murder, it should be allowed to follow activities there.

The Muslims are afraid of what may be discovered going on in a mosque...more that just prayers I suspect....A report somethime back stated that 80% of mosques in the USA are led by clerics that preach Islamic radicalization....

In DuPage County, just outside Chicago, Willowbrook residents are fighting plans to build a mosque--they're basing their strategy on zoning ordinances. As you can see here, though (http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-01-19/news/ct-met-willowbrook-mosque-20110119_1_muslim-educational-cultural-center-mosque-religious-leaders) CAIR is vocally in support of this mosque expansion. The group that wants the mosque, MECCA, has not publicly distanced itself from CAIR--which means they endorse CAIR's agenda. I think the Willowbrook community is right to look askance at this mosque project...and NOT because of zoning violations.

Also, it's heartwarming to see the Christian and Jewish leaders standing up to support this mosque. It kind of reminds me of the imams in Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi, etc., who stand up to voice their support for building new churches.
