Al-Qaeda second banana blames Christians for inciting interfaith tensions in Egypt

Zawahiri.jpgZawahiri is a well-read man*

Once again we see an Islamic supremacist blame the victims of Islamic jihad aggression for that aggression itself. Muslims bombed a Coptic church in Alexandria last month, murdering 21 people, and last Tuesday, Muslims murdered a priest -- and Zawahiri has the Islamic chutzpah to say, "The first among those who are responsible for setting the situation ablaze is the leadership of the Coptic Orthodox Church under the leadership of the one called Pope Shenouda III."

"Al-Qaida No. 2 blast Coptic church in Egypt," from AP, February 25 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):

CAIRO (AP) — The deputy to Osama bin Laden issued al-Qaida's second message since the Egyptian uprising, accusing the nation's Christian leadership of inciting interfaith tensions and denying that the terror network was behind last month's bombing of a Coptic church in Alexandria that killed 21 and sparked protests.

The message Friday from Ayman al-Zawahri, the No. 2 leader of the terror network, comes amid renewed Muslim-Christian tension over the slaying of a Coptic priest and a dispute involving a monastery.

As with his first message, delivered Feb. 18, al-Zawahri in his new, 35-minute videotape makes no mention of the protests or Hosni Mubarak's fall from power. Al-Qaida had advocated for the destruction of Mubarak's regime — and al-Zawahri, an Egyptian doctor, was part of a failed militant uprising against the former president in the 1990s....

In the latest video, al-Zawahri devoted much of the time to the Muslim-Christian divide. But he denied that his group was behind the Alexandria bombing, according to a transcript by the SITE Intel group, a U.S. group that monitors militant messages.

Ahead of the bombing, extremist Islamic websites affiliated with al-Qaida circulated lists of Coptic churches in Egypt and Europe — including one that was hit on New Year's — along with instructions on how to attack them.

"To start, I want to explain that al-Qaida has no connection with the explosion that happened in the church in Alexandria," he said.

"The first among those who are responsible for setting the situation ablaze is the leadership of the Coptic Orthodox Church under the leadership of the one called Pope Shenouda III," he said.

He blamed the church leader for spreading "belief that the Muslims have occupied Egypt and they must be driven out as they were kicked out of Spain" in the 15th century.

Al-Zawahri accused the Copts of trying to establish an independent state in Egypt.

On Tuesday, a Coptic priest was killed in southern Egypt, triggering street demonstrations by several thousand Christians. The priest was found dead in his home with several stab wounds....

Gaza's elected Islamist rulers crack down on secular community

After nearly four years of Hamas rule, the Gaza Strip's small secular community is in tatters, decimated by the militant group's campaign to impose its strict version of Islam in the coastal territory.

LOL! You had me fooled for a second there Robert! But only for a second....:)

I bet Robert would like to have fifty cents for every time he has had to explain the joke...It won't make him rich, but it might be two gallons of gas for the Maxwell...

The man with a hole in his head sez..."The first among those who are responsible for setting the situation ablaze is the leadership of the Coptic Orthodox Church under the leadership of the one called Pope Shenouda III."

And the second...maybe fourth among them, who are fanning the fires of the blaze, is yer honor, yer honor...

So let's be clear about this.

Islam inevitably creates corrupt, dysfunctional societies which are highly vulnerable to exploitation.

And then when internal and/or external forces inevitably exploit these inept Islamic societies, Muslims blame either the Jews, the Christians, the Americans, or the West in general for all of their problems while failing to admit that it is Islam itself that is the root cause of their problems.

And then to top it off, the Muslims believe (because of the actual dictates of their religion), that the proper response to all conflict is to proclaim jihad and to go forth and pillage and plunder for their non-existent god Allah. Such is the evil legacy of Muhammad's sick cult of Islam.

So much for Islam being the religion of peace, justice and tolerance. I am an ex-Muslim.

And...

Here is an excerpt from a great comment that somebody made the other night on JW:

The Quran does regard all Christians, who believe Jesus to be divine and the son of God, to be disbelievers, blasphemous disbelievers who must be fought, subjugated, and punished in hell. The Quran uses terms for non-Muslims, including Christians and Jews, that can readily be translated as infidel (like words from the k-f-r root such a kafaroo (9:30, 5:17, 5:72) or words like "ungrateful traitor" (31:32 --"...None denieth Our signs save every traitor ingrate" -kafoorin).

The Quran not only considers non-Muslims to be infidels, but it considers weak Muslims--those who are able and called but who won't engage in physical warfare to expand Islam (see Sura 9)--to be hypocrites bound for hell-fire.

And I've never seen a B-Movie as horrible, and as preposterous, and amateurish, and infantile, as the Quran.

-----------

I've recently taken some notes on the Quran, each note expressing the basic critical proposition of interest to me for the verse. The notes are by no means a complete set, but overall they give a general picture of Islam's view of Christianity:

112:3 – He begets not, nor is He begotten
19:35 – it does not befit the majesty of Allah to have a son
19:37 – those who think Allah has a son will be going to hell
19:88-92 – it is “disastrous” to say Allah has a son
17:111 – Allah has not a son
6:101 – how could Allah have a son?
37:149-153 – Allah has no children
39:4 – if Allah willed He could have chosen a son
18:4 – warning to those who say Allah has a son, which is a “dreadful lie”
18:102 – disbelievers reckon that Allah’s servants (e.g., Jesus) can be protecting friends beside Allah
21:26 – those called “honored sons” are actually “honored slaves” of Allah
2:137 – they (People of the Scripture) must believe as Muhammad believes
2:146 – some People of the Scripture know Muhammad’s revelations are true, but they cover it up
3:3 – Quran confirms Torah and Gospel
3:20 – ask the People of the Scripture if they have surrendered (to Islam)
3:70-71 – the People of the Scripture disbelieve and conceal the truth
3:78 – a party of the People of the Scripture distort the Scripture with their tongues
3:80 – Allah commanded them not to take angels or prophets (e.g., Jesus) as Lords
3:81 – the Scriptures mention Muhammad, but the People of the Scripture don’t believe it
3:100 – if you believers obey the People of the Scripture, they will turn you back from your belief
3:105 – be not as the Jews and Christians, for them there will be an awful punishment
3:108-110 – these revelations (Quran) are the revelations of Allah, and if the People of the Scripture believed them, it would be better for them. Some of them are believers (in the Quran), but most of them are evil-livers (fasiqun)
3:113 – some of the People of the Scripture recite the Quran and bow (s-j-d) prostrate (i.e., they have embraced Islam)
4:47 – People of the Scripture must believe the Quran or face punishment
4:150-152 – one must believe in all the messengers (i.e., including Muhammad)
4:157 – claims the Jews said they slew Jesus, though Jesus was not slain
4:171 – Christians should not exaggerate by claiming that Jesus is the son of God
57:27 – Christians invented monasticism, were wrong to do it, and did it wrong
61:6 – Jesus foretold of a “Praised One,” i.e., Muhammad
5:15, 19, 86 – now that Muhammad has come, those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations will be punished in hellfire
5:65 – “if only the People of the Scripture would believe”
5:68 – what Muhammad reveals to the People of the Scripture increases their disbelief
5:17, 72 – those who think Jesus is God are disbelievers (k-f-r)
5:111 – Jesus’ followers say “We are Muslims”
5:116 – confusion about the Trinity, Allah mentions Mary as one of the three
9:29 – People of the Scripture must obey Allah and the messenger (Muhammad) or else face warfare and subjugation
9:30 – Jews and Christians assigned partners to Allah, Allah will kill/destroy (q-t-l) them for it

..............................

The idea that it is *the Copts* who are inciting violence against their brutal Muslim overlords represents the most appalling—not to mention absurd—sort of projection.

Haha, I suspected something was amiss when I saw Spencer's STEALTH JIHAD on the shelf.

The spreading influence of the Islamic supremacists, the Muslim Brotherhood; even in 'Al-Jazeera'?

"RECOMMENDED READING: Is Al Jazeera Part Of The Muslim Brothers’ Program?"

http://globalmbreport.org/?p=1530

[Concluding excerpt]:

"The report goes on to say that the trend toward Islamism at the station
[Al Jazeera] is continuing:

"Former employees of Jazeera interviewed for this article say the newsroom is becoming more religiously conservative. 'Everyone is complaining about the new trend now–that the liberals, the secular types, the Arab nationalists are getting downsized and the Islamic position is dominating the newsroom,' says Hamid, the former Baghdad correspondent. Mirazi, the former Washington bureau chief, told Al Hayat: 'From the first day of the Wadah Khanfar era, there was a dramatic change–especially because of him selecting assistants who are hard-line Islamists.'"

"There is no fun in the counterjihad" -- can we quote you on that, Robert?

Well, I don't think I can do that. This dude's an "Islamic Scholar," a deep thinker. So what does it matter if he's well read. My guess is that he's read several books, including:

- Ko-Ran
- Hadiths
- History of al-Tabari
- Ishaq
- The codifications of Sharia for various schools of Sharia

This man, this Zawahiri, is a *genius* just like our born Moslem Prez Barack Hussein, whom we all know to be a hyper-Genius like Einstein what with his being a double whammy Ivy League Moron. I especially admired his deft handling of the Deepwater Horizon spill; but his handling of what's happened over the past month will take the cake.

Does he have a dent in the center of his forehaid. What's that all about? A bone dent from a blunt force Jihad injury perhaps?

Great post, welcome to the club of freedom lovers

I think al-Zawahri isn't al Qaeda's second banana but the real ideological mastermind and Osama is only the figurehead, but I may be mistaken, it's very hard to look into the "brains" of these lunatics. Anyway it's the same old story, always put the blame on the infidels and you're never mistaken. Mohammedans are innocent by definition.

From the article:

He blamed the church leader for spreading "belief that the Muslims have occupied Egypt and they must be driven out as they were kicked out of Spain" in the 15th century.

Well haven't they and shouldn't they be?

Thanks SaleemSmith. "Infantile" and "amateurish" are two words that perfectly describe the Quran. It is a truly vile book.

Saleem,

"someone"? My pen name "Kinana of Khaybar" can't be that difficult to write or copy:

The old "he was repeatedly and viciously attacking my fist with his face."

OT
I have an idea: we need to find way(s) where we can make money and at the same time fight against Islamic advancement. We need to figure out how to make counter-jihad lucrative to people who are good at making money. This is a double positive because our economy and our defense against islam would both be helped greatly. If people are educated to the perils of not opposing islam, then we can begin to make some headway. What a bugger this enemy is. We need to wake up fast!

Mr Spencer's friend 'Hugh Fitzgerald' (a nom de guerre - I still do not know who he really is) who has since moved on to concentrate on a different counter-jihad website with more of a European focus, once wrote an article suggesting that one could learn about the sheer craziness of sharia and the halal/ haram system, by concocting a board game, sort of like trivial pursuit.

Here's the posting in which he speculated how such a thing might work. Learn...and be horrified ... but also have fun.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2006/12/fitzgerald-naughty-or-nice.html

Of course, he holds the 'copyright' on the idea, but if anybody out there knows somebody who could turn the idea into concrete form, I'm sure 'Hugh' would be delighted to be contacted.

Hi DDA.

I feel a bit hypocritical saying this, since I have a collection of 60+ on the shelf behind me, but board games are not so popular these days.

It might be better to produce a computer game.

I'm a programmer, and can write programs for Windows, Linux and Android phones. I can see this would be some sort of quiz game, but I'm a bit stuck on how it would actually work. Any ideas?

And how would Hugh feel about his idea turning into a free Android app?

DDA & Aardvark,
Thanks for the ideas. I think the app idea is a good one, or a computer game. I just searched through my 'droid X' for apps having to do with islam. There were MANY, all in a positive light. Why not an app that tells the true story? Or several? Perhaps something called 'religion of peace?', that focused on all of the violent passages in the koran, hadith, and the violence in muhammad's life. Also, something that would tell of the violent spread of islam.
Another thing we need is a forum where people can brainstorm and collaborate. Perhaps a separate but connected link to Jihad watch where people can speak about what needs to be done to counter this?

Some sort of computer game might work.

Done right, with cool graphics, it could wake up the younger set, the Infidel teenagers and twenty-somethings.
