Help us fight the travesty of the 9/11 victims memorial: sign this petition

I am a Canadian, so perhaps my opinion is only that of a sympathetic outsider, but, I wish the organizers all possible luck with this petition and campaign.

The world is facing a unique crisis today, when required thinking demands that the perpetrators of ideology-driven mass murder must be deferred to in every possible way, and the United States is in the forefront of the consequent struggle.

I suppose about the best that could be expected regarding the memorialization of the senseless deaths on 9/11 would be...no memorialization. That would certainly be preferable to what is being planned. And, in the present atmosphere, it would be the only permissable form of respect.

And I am guessing that the most unthinking, extremist Muslim alive knows something that most Westerners either don't know or refuse to acknowledge: that it is lack of belief in itself that lays the groundwork for the fall of a civilization - and it is not, at present, Islam that is poised for a fall.

Use the freedoms that American society still has. Petition, advertise, march, rally. Stop the 9/11 Victims' Memorial until such time as common decency toward those victims is allowed to set the agenda.

This is not the first or the only hijacking (pun *very much* intended) of 9/11 memorials—this, on the appalling "Crescent of Embrace" planned for that field in Pennsylvania where United flight 93 went down:

Why does the petitiononline website have a banner on top advertizing a muslim dating service with pictures of muslim females in headgear? I can't stand stand seeing muslim females. They disgust me.

The petition itself only says to remove some trees from the design to make space to add the original World Trade Center "Sphere" sculpture into the proposed memorial. But the petition says nothing beyond that, nothing objecting to the obnoxious features of the design itself alluded to by Robert Spencer and Pam Geller in the article reprinted here.

However, the ground zero mosque has to be stopped, no matter what needs to be done, but that mosque can NOT be allowed there, I know how that sounds, but this mosque must be stopped by all means!
Also the WTC memorial the way it is planned now has to be stopped and how in the world have muslims the say so in the matter of the WTC memorial, how is that even possible?

If ones looks at the Educational Guidelines for the National 911 Memorial it is clear that more citizen input is called for.

Rather than sketchy, vague references to "world community", there needs to be a robust, and resounding reaffirmation of American values such as : freedom of speech, gender equality, rule of law, reason, democracy.

It seems to me that these same values are becoming associated with "Right-wing" values, and if this continues, they will eventually replaced by more "universal" notions of human rights, i.e. Islam.

If Daisy Khan can be on the education board of the National 911 Memorial, than I want Pamela Geller, or someone who understands what is at stake, on board as well.

Rather than the Board of Directors (which has its own problems, i.e. Jon Stewart, Robert De Nero, Billy Crystal), the Education Board should become a focus of our attention; if only to counter the influence of Daisy Khan.

Islamic proselytizing has no place at the memorial.

Speaking for myself, I'm sick of seeing my fellow Americans play the role of permanent victims of terrorism, rather than thinking in terms of seeking effective righteous retaliation. That's what the 9/11 Memorials have come to signify to me personally. And yes, I also care about the victims. I myself worked for a company on the 82nd floor of Tower no. 2 back in the 1980s for a few years. It could have been me as a victim, if my Company hadn't layed me off.
But a few weeks after 9/11 it became evident the MSM was going to play up the victimhood syndrome to the hilt and avoid thinking in terms of retaliation. I noticed that early on, to my dismay. The victimhood role 's popularity among leftist liberals was probably uppermost in Ann Coulter's mind when she made those comments.

Are you sure that the link is going to the right petition; a Save the Sphere petition comes up? Now I'm all for saving the sphere but I don't see how it connects to whitewashing the Muslim attack on 911.

It has been a while since I read only last 1/3 of Koran, but, isn't there something in the Koran about 7 levels of hell. I think the symbolism of 7 floors below street level may be an intentional symbol of victims in hell. I would love to know who brought in that aspect of the design. The Flight 93 Memorial was designed by someone who liked islamic design and had college connections with muslims. I think some investigation into the designer would be in order.

Next Con-job Khan will have a display that denouces Pedophiles and Pedophilia to counter that sexcapde truth about Muhammed.
