Qaradawi addresses huge crowd in Cairo, bans Leftist uprising leader Ghonim from stage

The Leftist/Islamic Supremacist Alliance breaks down when the Islamic supremacists have no more use for the Leftists. "Egypt protest hero Wael Ghonim barred from stage," from Agence France-Presse, February 18 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

Google executive Wael Ghonim, who emerged as a leading voice in Egypt's uprising, was barred from the stage in Tahrir Square on Friday by security guards, an AFP photographer said. Ghonim tried to take the stage in Tahrir, the epicentre of anti-regime protests that toppled President Hosni Mubarak, but men who appeared to be guarding influential Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi barred him from doing so.

Ghonim, who was angered by the episode, then left the square with his face hidden by an Egyptian flag.

Qaradawi gave a Friday sermon in the square, where hundreds of thousands of people gathered a week after Mubarak's fall, in which he called for Arab leaders to listen to their people.

Ghonim, Google's head of marketing for the Middle East and North Africa, administered a Facebook page that helped spark the uprising that toppled Mubarak's regime....

The Leftist/Islamic Supremacist Alliance breaks down when the Islamic supremacists have no more use for the Leftists.
.........................

Well, that was quick.

If you want to read a horrific—but very enlightening—account of this phenomenon, I would recommend Houshang Asadi's wrenching book, "Letters to My Torturer".

Although a staunch supporter of the Iranian Revolution, Asadi was savagely tortured and almost executed when he and his fellow Communists and leftists were no longer useful to Mullahs.

Asadi was lucky to survive—it is likely because he had, quite by happenstance, shared a cell with the Ayatollah Khameini during the Shah's rule. While he was imprisoned after the "Islamic Revolution", his terrified wife went to Khameini to beg for her husband's life.

Khameini promised nothing, but almost all of Asadi's other colleagues and members of Iran's Communist Tudeh Party were liquidated.

And when push comes to shove, all the Marxist leftards in Europe, who thought they could use the Muslims to bring about the socialist Utopia with Vibrant Cultural Enrichment™ , will go the same way.

Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Anybody with an IQ bigger than their shoe size could see this one coming. What did you leftists think was going to happen? Couldn't you learn the lesson from Iran? Haven't you read the Qur'an or studied Islamic history?

If you are a Coptic Christian, get out of Egypt yesterday!

HAAAAAAAAAAA! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

This is Juan Williams all over again, except Taliban-style (or is it, Islamic Brotherhood-style, since it's Egypt?) This leftist tool Wael Ghonim finally found out the hard way that when Islamists have no more use for their leftist tools, they will discard them as they would any other tool.

This is because despite the oddity and cosmic (and comical) lunacy of there even existing such an alliance (the worldwide Islamic/Leftist alliance), Islam is not compatible neither with Western free society nor with the subversive teachings of the Left that infests said free society (but remember, the Left have the right to do so, because in a truly free society, them idiots have the right to hate America, just as we who are true patriots have the right to counter and oppose them through dialogue, rhetoric, the Accountability of Criticism, and free spech).

Those among the Anti-American Left who are the most stupid and suicidal are the ones who willingly become useful idiots and stooges for the Islamist agenda, thinking its quod-pro-quo, the liberal copulates Islam's [CENSORED], and Islam will copulate liberal's [CENSORED]? HA! It's far from the truth, for if and when Islam invades and takes over an area such as Eurabia, like the liberals actually want, then the first dhimmis to be executed will be the liberals.

I am glad that "liberal" Muslims such as Wael Ghonim sometimes get a taste of their own medicine. Maybe they'll learn that there is no way to "pacify" Islam through liberalism, as many misguided academics and liberals in the West seem to think they can do.

So, the leader of the Children's Crusade has been introduced to the Venetian merchants! Boarding of the ships will begin soon.

(The reference is to the 1212 CE Children's Crusade, where about 30,000 children were persuaded by a German youth, to whom Jesus had appeared, to join him in a Crusade to Jerusalem to convert Muslims to Christianity. Jesus had promised that when they reached the Mediterranean it would be parted to facilitate their march to the Holy Land. When the the sea did not part, some enterprising Venetian merchants offered to transport them by ship. Instead of taking them to the Holy Land, the merchants sold the children into slavery. Although the story may be apocryphal, the parallels to the Egyptian uprising, and its likely fate, are striking.)

Probably the one and only good thing that will come out of this current upheaval sweeping the Muslim world, is that it will be what forces the non-Muslim world to look deeper into these matters and understand that it is the Islamic religion itself that is the root cause of all of these constantly occurring problems throughout the Islamic world over THE LAST 1400 YEARS. There was no golden age of Islam nor will there ever be. This is simply another myth and an Islamic fraud. Islam is a fraud. Islam itself is to blamed for all of this – all other reasons are distantly secondary.

Muhammad's illnesses and instincts led him to become a murderer, a rapist, a child molester, and the Queen Bee cult leader of Arabia. Muhammad's cruel cult of Islam was largely laying dormant for some time but has now re-awoken and sprung to life in all of its inglorious hatred and macabre violence.

A significant number of Muslims will not stop killing until they either succeed in making the entire non-Muslim world submit to Islam or die trying. Ironically these are the Muslims who correctly understand their perverse religion. The non-fundamentalist, non-militant, "moderate Muslims", believe in a purely fictional version of Islam. Islam must be completely abandoned. But first the world needs to comprehend with piercing clarity that a human being can make no greater mistake in life than to belong to, support, or defend, the evil ideology of Islam.

I am an ex-Muslim:

Although a staunch supporter of the Iranian Revolution, Asadi was savagely tortured and almost executed when he and his fellow Communists and leftists were no longer useful to Mullahs.

Oh don't be so negative, Graven. Maybe the Mullahs were just thirsting for some early Ashura action -- at poor Asadi's expense.

My my, the Marxists aren't getting along with their Moslem brethern. How sad. But it's a happy fact in given that the highly touted Persia vs. Arabia bout looks to be over in a flash.

We Infidels need sustainable television news entertainment, and the forthcoming Sacrificial Marxist kabuki will serve nicely. Get the professors all agitated and stuff like that. It'll be great, and grate too.

Here is a link to the real face and the murderously insane words of Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

By the way, the crowd in that video above not only looks like a swarm of bees or a hill of dormant ants, they also look a lot like the dazed bunch of sleep walking zombies that they are...

The Leftist/Islamic Supremacist Alliance breaks down when the Islamic supremacists have no more use for the Leftists.

This should be written on banners in letters ten feet tall and then pinned on the walls of The Guardian (UK) and The Washington Post, Huffington and many other MSM liberal left enablers of jihad.

The liberal left would be exterminated as godless kuffars if Islam had its way. They are fools not to see it!

THese nitwits can't see the forest because of the trees...

liberal muslims getting a taste of their own....
you are 100% correct. this is lesson we learned in Iran with a holes in power now. but there is such a hatred of Islam in Iran now that is incrdible.

EGYPT OKAYS PASSAGE OF TERROR WARSHIPS THROUGH SUEZ ON OMINOUS DAY

On the anniversary of one of the bleakest and most tragic days in modern Egyptian history-a terrorist assassination that led to a massacre of 15 Egyptians at a Cyprus Airport-Egypt's pro-Islamist military junta okayed Iran's request for passage of two warships through the Suez Canal. Egypt is now complicit in a provocative act aimed at Israel and making the nuclear mullahs a naval power in the Mediterranean.

The junta couldn't have picked a more portentous day to give into Iran's request, unprecedented since the Iranian Revolution in 1979. For it was on this day in 1978 that Youssef Sebi a personal friend of Anwar Sadat's (who had started peace negotiations with Israel) was assassinated with a friend by Palestinian gunmen at a convention in Nicosia, Cyprus-a murder that led to a bloodbath the following day where 15 Egyptian commandos were killed in a firefight with Cyprian soldiers. The following is the AP story on today's event:

CAIRO — State media say Egypt has agreed to let two Iranian naval vessels transit the Suez Canal, a move that comes despite expressions of concern by Israeli officials.

State-run news agency MENA said Friday that authorities approved a request from Iranian diplomats who offered assurances that the two ships won't have weapons or nuclear or chemical material.

The move had been widely expected and Iranian officials have insisted the request is in line with international regulations. They say the two vessels are headed to Syria for training.

this is reallly depressing.

Is it just me being paranoid, or does anyone else think that the Clash of Civilizations can only be resolved by World War III - Dar al-Islam versus Dar al-Harb? The very name Dar al-Harb has all the attributes of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

But if so, why are all the Western leaders Chamberlains? Why aren't we hearing the voice of a single Churchill?

I have not seen any piece aligning Wael Ghonim with Leftists. Did I miss it?

The notion of pro-democracy and the notion of anti-tyrant have significant overlap, but do not perfectly overlap.

While the early protestors in Egypt (Wael Ghonim) were described as pro-democracy they are perhaps better described as anti-tyrant, and inspired by a universally applicable idea (a "belief") enshrined in the First Amendment to the US Constitution.

[Any entity or group claiming exclusive governmental powers over any citizens within any describable geographic territory] shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Any anti-tyrant true believer will be able to see and describe the elements of tyranny regardless of the ideological inspiration of the tyrant.

(Here is a truism:) Ordinary American citizens reject the notion of a benevolent dictator because dictatorial powers, no matter how benevolent a dictator claims to be, always lead to tyrannical behavior. It is human nature, and no ideology exists that can halt this tendency toward governmental tyranny. The only possible cure is the mere idea in the quoted text above. Those timeless words -- not America -- act like an all-purpose antibody (and inspiration) against any and all tyrants.

Leftists Progressives Statists and Communists (all the same thing on this score) are all pro-tyranny, including support for tyranny of the majority. I still cling to the notion that Wael Ghonim was just anti-tyrant, a good thing even if he was part of tiny minority.

While all of Islam is pro-tyrant, the lack of Islam does not mean that someone or some government is anti-tyrant. The only sure test is the level of fidelity to the individual rights enshrined in the US First Amendment (first among the amendments dividing pro-tyrant from anti-tyrant).

Where there is free speech, and public support for preservation of it by the public, then "democracy" (including voting) will surely follow. Not the other way around. The label pro-democracy is not sufficient to explain anything, in the US or Europe or Egypt or Iran. The most salient question in the forever struggle between pro-tyrant and anti-tyrant is the fidelity to individual rights, in expressions of defense of individual rights against tyrants.

If Wael Ghonim is just a plain anti-tyrant then I would not like to see him painted, gratuitously, as a Leftist.

Typical tactic.

Before Stalin took over there was another guy who was in position to take over.

The head leader Lenin died and so Stalin warned the other guy Trotsky that due to freezing, flooding, rain, etc., he could never make it in time.

So Stalin took head stage at the funeral and gave a magnificent speech.

Did I mention that Stalin later sent an assassin to kill of Trotsky who was in hiding in Mexico?

And guess what?

Quradawi wants his fat ugly face all over the media so that HE and HE ALONE can hog ALL THE CREDIT.

That way, he can create an Egypt that follows his vision and his alone with as few competitors as possible. Letting that guy on stage would force him to share credit, something he is unwilling to do.

Everyone reading these words, beware of Quradawi and his thuggish behavior. What we are seeing is a repeat of Stalin's behavior and an egomaniacal, narcisstic, greedy, grubbing power-grab.

Under Quradawi there will be no "Democracy," there will only be a repeat of Iran and Stalinist Russia.

Heed these words and heed them well Spencer and co, let's not let allow Quradawi to march Egypt down the same footsteps as Stalin and the Ayatollah.

Yes, Muhammedans are often quite skillful and clever in the arts of war, which includes making temporary alliances with gullible dupes among leaders of the unbelievers. You point out that "Islam is not compatible neither with Western free society nor with the subversive teachings of the Left ..." And I certainly agree with that insight. It's something to be kept in mind when we, for purposes of our own political jockeying, call attention to the similarities between Islam and pernicious Western perversions like Leftism and Naziism. Because, in the final analsis, Islam is really not compatible with, nor the same as, anything in the politics of the West. It is very compatible with gross criminality of all sorts, however. It's compatible with pure Evil, that's for sure.

Since Facebook served Ghonim so well a month ago, perhaps he should start a new FB page to rally the Egyptian masses against the MB. Any chance he'll get the same response he got the first time around?

Those who don't learn from history are destined to relive it.

"Hey, thanks for all your help in getting rid of that obstacle in our way. Now get the hell out of here."

I believe we've seen this before, in the French Aristocrats who hosted soirees where enlightened savages could discuss the idea of liberte, fraternite and equalite for all, just a few years before they denied it to those same Aristos and cut their heads off. And wasn't there some big money coming out of the United States to help fund the sealed train that went through Europe with Lenin aboard right before the Communist Revolution was sparked, the one that helped annihilate over 70 million people in the last century?

I wonder if we'll see anything of the kind in Wisconsin, since our dear leader has sent his OFA "helpers" in to try and fix things. ; ) Saints preserve us.

Here's "moderate Muslim" Fouad Ajami from *just a couple of days ago*:

"No turbaned ayatollah had stepped forth to summon the crowd. This was not Iran in 1979. A young Google executive, Wael Ghonim, had energized this protest when it might have lost heart, when it could have succumbed to the belief that this regime and its leader were a big, immovable object. Mr. Ghonim was a man of the modern world. He was not driven by piety. The condition of his country—the abject poverty, the crony economy of plunder and corruption, the cruelties and slights handed out to Egyptians in all walks of life by a police state that the people had outgrown and despaired of—had given this young man and others like him their historical warrant."
.......................

Sadly, I believe "turbaned ayatollah" comes fairly close to describing Qaradawi...

The least Qaradawi and the Brotherhood could do for the uber-cool Ghonim is buy him an all-inclusive package trip to the annual rock festival in Mecca (hajj).

Sean:
What happened to The Free Men Of England?
Where are the progeny of your great poets: Kipling, Houseman, Dowson, and that romantic of all romantics, Rupert Brooke?
Take the poet and make him into a leader---he will be able to write The Martyr's Code that will move the men of England.
Maybe you are the man.
P.S.
I am working on a poem: The Martyrs

Yes, shades of 1979. And who and where will be next?

Hey Ghonim!...how's that Islamic hopey-changey thing working for ya...

Like I said in an earlier comment, the parallels between what is happening in Egypt today and the Children's Crusade in 1212 CE are striking. Young, innocent, well meaning children fired by naive idealism falling victim to dark and sinister forces they do not comprehend.

Everybody say after me- One, Two, Three,

WE.TOLD.YOU.SO!

An interesting snippet of information pops up at the bottom of the screen, just after the 'Four former officials detained' It says

'U.S. to send $150 million to help transition'

So the US tax payer is chipping in with ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS to help Egypt become an extremist Islamic state!

O tempora o mores.

It's Wael Ghonim's fault for being such a racist islampohobe against all muslims everywhere on earth.

Just you wait. Next comes the showtrials. All the secular revolutionary leaders will be forced to sign confessions saying they conspired with the zionists against the glorious revolution.

Perhaps I'm being alarmist. I am sure the secular figures of the revolution are in no danger because everyone knows the Muslim Brotherhood has renounced violence for 40 years. If you don't believe me, just ask Hamas.

Indeed. But will those who refused to listen now suddenly see the light? Doubtful. It would require they completely scrap and rebuild from scratch the world view they have invested so much in to construct. Won't happen. They'll simply make whatever minor adjustments are necessary to continue to excuse or deny their blindness without fundamentally altering the basic structure itself. It won't be enough to simply say "I told you so!" The apologists need to be publicly discredited and humiliated, and removed from whatever position of influence that gives them a public platform to continue to propagandize. The future depends on it.

Been drinking and would like to add to my previous post which is:
The least Qaradawi and the Brotherhood could do for the uber-cool Ghonim is buy him an all-inclusive package trip to the annual rock festival in Mecca (hajj).

It should now read:
The least Qaradawi and the Brotherhood could do for the uber-cool Ghonim is buy him an all-inclusive package trip to the annual rock festival in Mecca (hajj). Package includes all the mint tea you can drink. And who said that Muslims don't have any fun?

Yah, That would be nice if they at least gave him acknowledgment. Unfortunetely, I fear the only reward they will be giving him is a one way ride on the bullet train.

I'm wondering how long it will take for the Useful-Idiots here in the West to wake-up to the fact that they are being groomed for following the Taqqiyah crumbs to the Slaughter Houses disguised as a quasi-Mosque.

The Islamists will not tolerate Rosie or Ellen, they will put the Feminists in Burka's or a noose if they don't, pedophilia will be allowed for the sex-staved ugly old bearded men with yellow teeth and bad breath that emulate Muhammed's sexcapades.
As the Workplace and Universities convert to Shariah-Compliant soil with mini-Mosques too (as the WTC twin towers had and yet was still attacked),it will be easy to seize control as Islamic property and then steal more land as Islam had done to the natives of the Middle East .

I'd love to trust Islam and the Quran, but would you invest you time and money into the Perfect-Car that hasn't worked in 1400 years and caused millions of death but it will work in the West because everyone in the past were "Misunderstanders" of the True operations of the Car according to the Manual.
Good luck importing a death-trap Car with 1400 years of failures and was designed by a violent man that also had sex with a child.

Qaradawi is, of course, an evil piece of crap and the world would be a better place without him. Qaradawi is very knowledgeable of Islam and very popular among Muslims throughout the world. As far as I'm aware, he does not reject any of the harsh elements of sharia and jihad policy.

Qaradawi's popularity with Muslims in Egypt only further confirms Egyptian Muslims' overwhelming support for harsh strict sharia and fervent anti-infidel hatred. Like most Egyptian Muslim men, Qaradawi thinks there is no problem with sexual harassment and rape of non-Muslim women who go "uncovered"; it's the womens' fault if they get raped, according to Qaradawi and the majority of Egyptian Muslim men.

To review, Qaradawi believes that
-Hitler was good and was guided by Allah to punish the Jews
-all Israelis should be killed
-suicide bombings of civilians are "martyrdom operations"
-all Americans in Iraq should be killed
-apostates from Islam must be put to death
-Western countries must enforce Islamic blasphemy laws
-homosexuals must be executed
-Muslims will conquer Europe non-violently and bring it under Islamic rule
-offensive violent warfare to establish and spread Islam is appropriate jihad policy where Muslims have the means to carry it out
-non-sharia, un-Islamic governments must be overthrown
-rape and sexual harassment of non-Muslim women is okay

Is there anything else that I've missed here?

Got into the whisky. I apologize. Not for the drinking, but because I couldn't get it right the first time. Here's how it should read:
The least Qaradawi and the Brotherhood could do for the uber-cool Ghonim is buy him an all-inclusive package trip to the annual rock festival in Mecca (hajj). Package includes all the mint tea you can drink*. And who said that Muslims don't have any fun?
*Domestic Brands Only.

Slight correction: "To review, Qaradawi believes that
-all Israelis should be killed"

Some people living in Israel are Muslims. What Qaradawi wants is that all Jewish Israelis should be killed.

Are you an alarmist?
Yes, a fire alarmist.
You know your stuff and be proud of it.

I appreciate your reference to the "Children's Crusade" it fits perfectly for the young and naive who have been indoctrinated in our "education system" as well as the young & naive in Egypt.

As for the more "mature" leftys everywhere, I believe they are far too deluded to see the writing on their wall and will deserve what they get.

I just love the line near the end of the vidio that now they will rebuild Egypt after Mubarek "Welcome to another islamic shit hole"

Here's a prescient article, by Trudy Rubin, for the Philadelphia Enquirer from Wednesday:

"For Egypt, Second Phase of Revolution is Crucial"

As Cairo erupted in jubilation on Friday over the announcement that Hosni Mubarak had stepped down, I remembered another celebration of revolution I witnessed in 1979.

I was visiting some Syrian leftists in a rickety wooden house in the heart of the old city of Damascus as they gathered around a crackly short-wave radio set and broke out the whiskey. They were celebrating the return of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to Tehran that very day; they believed this marked the start of a revolution that would end with leftists taking over the Iranian government. Many young Iranian idealists thought the same.

Of course, things developed very differently.

The charismatic Khomeini and the well-organized Shiite clergy wiped out the overconfident Iranian left and created a theocracy...

http://www.dispatchpolitics.com/live/content/editorials/stories/2011/02/16/revolutions-are-difficult-to-keep-on-course.html?sid=101

The rest of the column is much more prosaic, but the above seems to capture all too clearly how history is repeating itself.

If Muslim brotherhood becomes an Egyptian Taliban, who knows, Mubarak may be hailed after some time as a great patriot! It is disheartening but in the event of a muslim tyrant taking over Egypt, the democrats all over the world will understand that the real enemy is Islam. Next time, Arab protesters also will know what they have to protest against. OK., let us wait a couple of more years!

Now Ghonim shall have to crawl back to his master and give him the bad news. Or is it bad news? Obama has such love for all things islamic, repeats the lies told to him about how science survived and thrived thanks to islam and how islam is a religion of peace... I would not be the least bit surprised if he saw himself as some islamic savior... A facilitator in the rise of the new Caliphate...a future hero of islam.

Is it just my imagination, or does Qaradawi REALLY resemble a REAL monkey? Just askin'.

Perhaps a great ape, at the least, akin to one of the orangutan clerics on Planet of the Apes.

My apologies to my simian cousins.

Useful meet idiot.

Where there is Islam, there can only be tyranny.

Of Sharia Law.

Creating a totalitarian, despotic, eternal gulag for the enforcement of the cruel, irrational will of Allah.

(As interpreted by the mullahs, imams and ayatollahs in power.)

How any expects to get sparling rosewater out of cistern bilge is the constant surprise.

erratum: "sparling" = sparkling.

K?

Will the revolution begin devouring its children, now?

Crikey, I expected things to happen fast, but this is leaving skid marks. Time to educate everyone you know who will listen about what a "caliphate" is and how soon we can expect to see one forming in the ME (day before yesterday, the rate this is going), and what it is going to mean. A lot of them will still tell you you're a racist alarmist democracy-hating party-pooper, but they will pay attention when what you told them is going to happen starts unfolding on their wide tv screens.

Print out a copy of that photo of Lara Logan right before the Peace-Loving Democratic Egyptian Gang-Rapers got hold of her, caption them, "This is YOU if you don't get your head out of your butt and start paying attention to what is really happening", and hand them out to any stubbornly skeptical friends and family with a list of Robert's books on Islam.

pokermutt: Is anybody here NOT drinking at this point? I see it as a form of civil disobedience sort of like during Prohibition. Like eating bacon. What wine goes good with bacon?

Looks like Lara Logan, minus the rape. But don't expect him to become pro-Israel as a result of this facade coming off.

I can't but chuckle when I see Leftists being betrayed in this manner

No offence taken. ook.

As far as comparing him to a primate, the latin taxonomy of chimpanzee is Pan troglodytes. Oddly fitting.

Though I believe the appelation of Fascistic Jerkanus is more appropriate as that's the latin taxonomy of his specific species, more commonly known as the Bearded Howler.

This is WONDERFUL NEWS! I'm so delighted for Egypt, the region and the entire world. As a life-long follower of the New York Times, the BBC and CNN, I know for a fact that Qaradawi, like the overwhelming majority of Muslims worldwide, is a moderate and a reformer, and is highly likely to encourage a pluralist, tolerant, multicultural democracy. His spiritual guidance will take Egypt in a new direction where they will expell American imperialism, fight the demonic Israeli agression, liberate themselves from exploitative capitalist greed, and finally gain liberty, honor, peace and human rights. This is obviously the beginning of a new age of freedom, peace and prosperity for Egypt. Let's all rejoice!

/

"...and finally gain liberty, honor, peace and human rights."

Yeah, cuz there's so much of that in the Muslim world.

"What wine goes good with bacon?"

I was wondering that, too. Turns out there is substantial online discussion on this topic.

http://bacontoday.com/would-you-like-some-wine-with-your-bacon/
http://www.spittoon.biz/a_wine_for_bacon_sandwiches.html

...

Also, check out http://tv.winelibrary.com/2009/03/25/what-wine-goes-with-bacon-episode-647/

I loved this guy! Amazing ability to detect what's in a wine. "Pinot, you don't know if you're going to get poop or veggies." His recommendation - Conundrum White Table Wine. Personally, I prefer a good Cab.

Wine and bacon party, anyone?

"I'd love to trust Islam and the Quran, but would you invest you time and money into the Perfect-Car that hasn't worked in 1400 years and caused millions of death but it will work in the West because everyone in the past were "Misunderstanders" of the True operations of the Car according to the Manual.

I find your comparison very apt!

It is Muslims who invest their whole life in this failed car. The Citizens of Democratic Nations merely allow it, because of their prejudices and desperate attempt to regard it as mysterious but harmless.

One of their motivations is that they want at all costs to be nice and "fair" to Muslims. Thinking that that ONLY can be done by denying all charges against Islam.

Another reason is that they really don't want to bother to thoroughly investigate this "mysterious" religion. Instead they are overwhelmingly trying to stifle the discussion about it and it's relation with the essences of our democratic system.

The Muslims will object to your analysis by saying that this car comes not from "the pedophile" but from Allah and Allah knows best. And even if humans can't see it's benefits that does not mean that this car still is meant and operating for the well-being of mankind. Which just doesn't understand it.

Wanna bet this makes no difference to Jihad Tube's behavior regarding Islamist recruiting videos? It should.

{^_^}

Dear All,
First of all the Iranian warships were refused passage, so relax everybody.
Furthermore, on Wael Ghoneim's Twitter page there is no mention of him being barred from stage or leaving Tahrir square (http://twitter.com/Ghonim ) In fact, he is commenting on Qardawi's speech which means he attended the whole thing.
I don't think Wael is "leftist" at all. In fact he's an AUC (American University in Cairo) graduate and works in Google as a marketing manager- it can't get more capitalist than that !
Obviously, I am not excited about the fact that Qardawi came to Egypt and gave a speech but I will not lose hope that that the moderates who started this revolution are the overwhelming majority against radicals.

First of all the Iranian warships were granted passage through the Suez Canal so we should not all relax.
Whether Ghonim chose to embarrass himself and reveal the fact that he was barred from the stage or chooses instead to put the best face on things that he can is neither here nor there. The facts are the facts.
And any one that knows anything at all about Google knows that they are a leftist organization to the core and that they do evil every damned day...Capitalists or not. I'm sure that they forgive themselves for being Capitalists much as those leftists that forgive Soros since he does such "good things" with his money.
"I will not lose hope that that the moderates who started this revolution are the overwhelming majority against radicals."
You believe that moderates started this "revolution"? okay...I'll just shut up now...
And I don't know what you call radical but 85 percent of the folks in Egypt want sharia law to be the law of the land. Replacing a working government with sharia law is pretty radical if you ask me....never mind the muslim brotherhood.

They did not pass. No Iranian warships have passed in the Suez canal since their 1979 revolution ! The Armed Forces in control of things in Egypt are not stupid enough to allow them through and provoke Israel !
Do you think if they passed through, Israel would remain silent ?
Where did you get that 85% from ? Egypt depends on tourism (15% of GDP) and a large sector of the population works in tourism and tourism-related industries. A majority of people would be against instituting a Sharia law which, for starters, would ban alcohol from the country ! Yes I believe moderates started this since I was in Tahrir square and saw the people there. For sure the MB had presence but it was no more than 15% of the people there.

You asked:
pokermutt: Is anybody here NOT drinking at this point? I see it as a form of civil disobedience sort of like during Prohibition. Like eating bacon. What wine goes good with bacon?

Reply:
Sorry, I don't know lilredbird. I am on a strictly whiskey diet. It gives me what I call "Wiser's* Whiskey Wisdom". It's also the only thing that helps the chronic whine flu that I suffer from.
Yikes! Crikey!!! Another dead soldier.

*A Canadian whiskey.

Surely you jest. Shalom.

This should be a warning to dhimmis and other useful idiots.

[0:16] "...they are being spoken to right now by Sheikh Yusuf al-Qadawi[sic], a man who was an exile in Qatar for many years. He is head of the International Union of Scholars, an extremely influential sheikh".

Is that so?

CNN makes not a single mention of who *QARADAWI* actually is. Exile? Right, he's banned in both the US and the UK. Influential? Sure, he's an advocate of female genital mutilation, and an advocate of beating women ("lightly"), not to mention lauding Hitler for punishing the Jews (on Al-Jazeera in 2009).

And last but not least, he has a "prominent role within the intellectual leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood".

Brotherhood? Who? Never heard of them.

Ahhh ... CNN. Clueless Network News.

Have you been watching the news?

Yes. Sarcasm. Knowing D&G there is no doubt of it.

TheDudeAbides,

You ask AlaskanInfidel about the 85% of Egyptians wanting sharia. The 85% support for sharia seems to be in roughly the same range suggested by polls that question Muslim Egyptians about their views re sharia:

90% want sharia to be at least a source of legislation
1% say sharia should not be a source of legislation
66% want sharia to be the only source of legislation
81% want a “strict application” of sharia in every Islamic country
70% want to unify Islamic countries into a single Caliphate
77% want punishments like whipping and cutting off hands
82% want adulterers to be stoned to death
84% want apostates to be put to death

Now, whether Egyptian Muslims specifically would ban the sale of alcohol...consider this possibility: Muslims in Egypt may accept that alcohol can be bought, sold, and consumed, with some restrictions, by Christians and other non-Muslims (including tourists). This is within some precedents historically, such as that some dhimma agreements allowed the dhimmis buy, sell, and consume alcohol, within limits. Another consideration: A jurisdiction's implementation of sharia is not always, nor even likely, total. It is entirely possible that modern Egypt could allow alcohol (with some restrictions), while embracing barbaric sharia rules such as punishing blasphemers and apostates. (In fact, this is now the case: criticism of Islam and Muhammad, and leaving Islam publicly, are illegal in Egypt. The only question now is whether the new Egypt will officially and explicitly punish blasphemy and apostasy with death).

First, I was wrong...that 85% is the opinion/wish of the young in Egypt, those attending College. My mistake to label the whole of Egypt as wanting sharia now...
However...64% is still a high number for a general population.
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Gallup asked respondents who had an opinion about the role of Sharia as a source of legislation (those for whom Sharia should be the only source, one of the sources, or not a source) whether they associate certain attributes with Sharia compliance. Ninety percent of Iranians, 91% of Egyptians, and 74% of Turks expressed an opinion about the role of Sharia in national law. The following analysis focuses on the subgroups of individuals who say Sharia should be a source of legislation to better understand why they think Sharia should influence legislation.

Overall, the poll results show that among those who think Sharia should be at least a source of legislation (either as the only source or as one of the sources), Egyptians are far more likely than Iranians and Turks to make positive associations with Sharia compliance.
There follows a compilation of answers from those particiipating. Those with a favorable view of sharia run in the 90 percentile consistently...on some questions 97%.

The article continues...

Although Sharia often connotes the image of a restrictive society, where residents are forced to comply with rules and obligations they would otherwise eschew, the Gallup Poll findings show that majorities of those who favor Sharia as a source of law associate it with many positive attributes. Ninety-seven percent of Egyptians, 76% of Iranians, and 69% of Turks in this group associate it with justice for women. Strong majorities in Iran (80%), Egypt (96%), and Turkey (63%) also think of Sharia as promoting a fair justice system. Additionally, majorities in Iran (77%) and Turkey (70%) associate Sharia with reducing corruption.

Most Egyptians (64%) polled say Sharia must be the only source of legislation, but few Turks (7%) say the same, which is why it is perhaps not surprising that the greatest differences of opinion are between these two populations. Among Egyptians and Turks who favor Sharia to be at least a source, differences range from 44 percentage points on the item about the promotion of scientific advancement (96% and 52%, respectively) to 26 points on the reduction of crime (94% and 68%, respectively) as well as a limit on the power of rulers (49% and 23%, respectively). But Egyptians and Iranians who favor Sharia's influence on legislation also differ on the associations they make with it. The gap in differences of opinion between Egyptians and Iranians ranges from 37 points on the issue of the promotion of scientific advancement (96% and 59%, respectively) to 3 points on limiting the power of rulers (49% and 46%, respectively).

Egypt allows Iranian warships 'can use Suez Canal'
The Egyptian authorities have agreed to allow two Iranian warships to transit through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea, state media report.
Iran's request stated the vessels would have no military equipment, nuclear materials or chemicals on board, the defence ministry is quoted as saying.
Iranian officials say the warships are headed to Syria for training.
Israel's foreign minister has expressed concern about them using the Suez Canal, calling it a "provocation".
There has been no comment from Israel since Egypt gave its approval..

Why...no...I don't expect they would/will. Stupid enough? Most certainly. They are human beings and we do really stupid things all the time. And humans, particularly Armed Forces, are capable of massive, off the scale type mistakes. When those improperly placed stupid people affect large stockpiles of munitions bad things can happen in a very short period of time.
We'll see just how stupid they are here quite soon. You familiar with the old Chinese curse? "May you live in interesting times." We got em' Dude...

islam is a lie and
Truth is killing it.

When I heard that there were Bedbugs infesting CNN headquarters in Atlanta, I was really surprised to hear that.
I didn't know that one parasite would feed directly on another like that.

You are wrong about the ships. A 9:20 pm look at the NYtimes shows a 5:39pm (feb 19, 2011) posting from Reuters saying the Iranian war ships are set to go thru the Suez on Monday.

The Egyptian Military approved the request.

It is time for Israel to test out those nifty new submarines.

It would be best to torpedo them once they are in port so as to not block the suez and teach the schmucks who are letting them dock a lesson as well.

Hey sorry, for some reason I don't get notifications when somebody replies to my comment. I'll try creating a new username.

I made a prediction to someone that it would be 6 months before Egypt was an islamic state...seems to be moving quickly. I need to recalculate my prediction.

With this setup you don't get notifications...just gotta keep lookin'...sux really.
