The mere fact of Congressman Peter King's hearings on "radicalization" of Muslims in the U.S. aroused a great deal of hysterical fury and wild accusations from American Muslim advocacy groups, and that was revealing to Americans who may not have realized how subversive those groups really are. But the hearings themselves didn't illuminate much of anything, as I predicted in January after King started caving to Islamic supremacist pressure over his witness list.
"King Hearing Falls Short, As Predicted," from Investor's Business Daily, March 14 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
Reviews of Rep. Pete King’s opening round of hearings into “Muslim radicalization” are lousy. King blames the Muslim lobby and the media. But he’s the one who blew it.King, the Republican head of the House Homeland Security Committee, deserves thrashing not because the hearing was an exercise in Muslim-bashing, as Democrats and the media unfairly charged. Far from it, the tenor of the questioning was respectful.
The problem, rather, was King didn't even come close to delivering what he advertised with his investigation, titled "The Extent of Radicalization in the American Muslim Community and that Community's Response."...
The lead-off witness was Rep. Keith Ellison, a Muslim Democrat from Minneapolis who has tried to shut down the hearings since King first announced them. His top billing was an odd choice, to be sure. But King said he invited him "as an example of my good faith."
His gesture backfired, as we predicted days before the hearing ("Rep. King: Don't Pull Any Punches," March 9), when we noticed Ellison headlining the witness list.
Ellison, another close ally of CAIR, stole the show when he broke into tears while retelling the story of a Muslim paramedic who died in the World Trade Center. Ellison used the victim as an example of the "witch hunt" against Muslims in America by claiming he was falsely accused of involvement in the 9/11 plot.
"His top billing was an odd choice, to be sure. But King said he invited him "as an example of my good faith."
Ridiculous. King's not required to show any "good faith." Ellison should not have been involved in this project at all.
Top billing? Should have been Spencer.
And King cancels Hirsi Ali and Walid Phares? I mean, come on, Good Grief. "Hearings" become absurd and useless.
A total dog and pony show. What a waste.
If Peter King's "initiative" is the best this country can produce, then America is in deep trouble. And so is all of the West.
Ah, so much remains to be done to counter Islam's liberty-crushing, nefarious, disgusting and deceptive designs. And so little has been done to date to counter these since the West is still playing that stupidest of games, i.e., that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance and Islamic terrorists have hijacked a noble religion.
Must add, for my money, that Keith Ellison's tears were the most repulsive, indefensible and unwarrranted tears that any American politician has ever produced at any time in all of American history. I was not moved in the least. Only fools and the malevolent would have been.
Ellison is the face of Islam in America, replete as he is with all that is phony, maudlin, stupid and devious about the Islamic faith, whose doctrines are in direct opposition to the Constitution of the United States of America and all the liberties which it details and guarantees. No surprise at all that Ibrahim Hooper is on record wishing for that day when Sharia will replace the Constitution as the law of the land in America. Holy Hell, when will America finally wake up? Still snoring, Peter King's hearings notwithstanding.
"...while retelling the story of a Muslim paramedic who died in the World Trade Center." I seem to remember Daisy K also mentioning this person.
What was the name of that paramedic?

this is supposed to be the most updated page (as in updated Tuesday, March 15, 2011 7:28:35 PM)
I'm not completely convinced that King won't call on Emerson, Spencer or Warraq. I beleive King intended to and was smart enough not to have them testify at the onset.
I trust I'm right and hope it's not just a wishful thought.
Watching Ellison's histrionics culminating in emission of forged tears was more revolting than seeing someone sticking fingers in one's throat and producing vomit. The sham was unbearable.
And King was a total let down. I can't understand why didn't he respond by pointing at the most obvious fact that the moslem paramedic was killed by friendly fire while the nearly 3000 non-moslems were intentionally murdered. Is he so stupid?
And there is nothing wrong with "witch hunt" provided that witches are correctly identified. Ellison is just one of these witches followed by Hooper and the pack of rats that make CAIR.
Domenick, I too am hoping the reason many people like Spencer and Emerson were left off the initial billing was to defuse the already inflamed rhetoric. I'm hoping that once the initial stuff blows ever and they delve into these issues that Spencer, Emerson and Hirsi Ali will get airtime. If he waits till the last moment to call them as witness, CAIR will be totally unprepared.
Let's see if he blinks...
I thought Zuhdi Jasser was very good in his own right. Along with Melvin Bledsoe's unchallengeable testimony. At the very least, they completely crushed the notions forwarded that these hearings were nonsense. I admired King for what he said and his leadership in the first part. didn't watch it all.
The Muslim mob held a presser the day before King's hearing last week.

An ACLU First Amendment lawyer begins his spiel at 08:35.
Of note is his assertion that our right to pray, speak and associate freely are guaranteed by that amendment. He is correct, of course.
He continued, with what the American Muslim community REALLY wants:
(Paraphrasing here--There is a difference between belief systems and violent criminal actions. We can hold extremist beliefs without committing violence. Those acts of violence are perfectly acceptable subjects for investigation by congress, but the belief systems are not.
Of course! If congress dared investigate Islam's actual, written teachings they would finally realize that Muslims who commit acts of violence 'in the name of Islam' are not 'extremists' or 'radicals', that they have not been 'radicalized', and that there's no such thing as 'radical' Islam.
And that every Muslim reads the same 'version' of the Qur'an.
They might even find out why Wahhabism is so often referred to--even in our own press--not as a perversion of Islam, but as 'a strict interpretation'.
And they might also have to ask Muslim Americans to explain where on the planet the amputation of a fellow human being’s hand(s) is morally acceptable to them. One can imagine that both Jasser and Ellison would have to blaspheme themsleves.
And Heaven forbid they find out that every American Muslim is a member of a 'complete way of life' that is both antithetical to democracy and incompatible with the very constitution they pretend allegiance to.
Most ridiculous of all; he wants King to find out what moves a person from non-violence to violence--without examining their beliefs!
Ellison's histrionics and bad acting not only did a disservice to the Muslim first responder who died on 9/11, he also attempted to use faked emotion to try to seduce infidels into ignoring facts and reason. Disgusting all around.
Does anyone still believe that the Joooooooos control the mainstream media?? What a wonderful lie it is that has been foisted upon all the filthy kufar. The muslims claim the sons of apes and pigs control the media and yet every inquiry that involves muslims is somehow, conveniently whitewashed into some bleeding heart story that purports muslim persecution.
Last summer 50,000 people demonstrated against the building of a damnable mosque near ground zero and not a peep was heard from any mainstream media outlet. No news whatsoever. Yes, that must have been the Joooooooos doing.
So now we have the predictable muslim persecution refrain yet again when a guy wants to ask some questions about Islam. Look, I don't like religion to begin with. I think it's stupid and primitive. But to claim that asking questions is somehow a form of racism (islam is not a race shit for brains) speaks to the matter more than the asking of the questions ever can.
What mental disease claims minds so much, so completely that they fear answering questions and a demand for truthful answers???
Facism comes to mind. Pure evil comes to mind. Totalitarianism comes to mind. Yet, conspicuously, the lamestream media continues to tow the party line that inquiry is offensive and that speaking the truth is somehow transmuted into hate speech.
One must ask how on Earth this could have come to pass. One must ultimately conclude that we are being lied to by people who have an agenda and who would rather lie down with the enemy for a paycheck than risk their lives and careers and mortgages for the truth. How do they sleep at night?
I've got news for the lamestream media around the world. When this is all over and we have defeated islam finally and permanently, you too will be up against the wall for being collaborators with the enemy. Just FYI.
Seriously, if you're going to get called an Islamophobe, if you're going to get canned, make it count. Invite those people.
If the furor and death threats against King should wax hotter instead of wane, and (God forbid) there is an attempt on his life, to avenge himself on his enemies and drive them even more insane King just might summon an Emerson, Sultan, Spencer or Warraq to future hearings.
wax hotter and not wane
***What was the name of that paramedic?***
•Mohammed Salman Hamdani - 23 years old - NYPD Cadet
Is what he's listed as on that page. But if you read the bio when clicking his name it says he graduated college but didn't make it into medical school. He drove an ambulance part time.
King said that he invited Ellison to the hearing out of "good faith." But there is nothing "good" about Ellison's "faith:" Islamism watered down and masked in tears soaked up by bleeding heart leftists who mourn for Moslems and their "victimization" by America, Israel and the West; and will go to any lengths to appease their grievances and bind their wounds, even if it means restoring the Caliphate and making the civilizational war more deadly.
Thank you Lone Sailor.
I would hear that there was someone but I never seemed to hear a name attached to it so I had begun to wonder if it was just one of those things people kept saying enough times that it had assumed the mantle of truth without anyone ever questioning it.

I had not looked at his as it said NYPD cadet and nothing about the ambulance work. I would have thought since they keep bringing it up (almost 10 years later), they would make this linkage more prominent.
People - you have to check out Leonard Pitts' column today on Rep Peter King and the Hearings. Let me give you a hint: King is "paranoid!"
Leonard Pitts is a Liberal PC bum. Of course he never mentions the existence of the Jihad doctrine in Islam.
Please leave a comment if you feel like it. Thanks.

Of course King blew it, he hyped it to be something it never was intended to be other than a "hey, look at me" moment for King's constituents. What does one expect from an idiot who thinks it a good idea to put a 1000ft "gun-free" zone around government workers? It's events such as this that are part of the reason people lose faith in their elected officials.
A wasted opportunity. It ended up being a grandstand for celebrity Muslims to proclaim their innocence, patriotism, commitment to peace, and victimization, an exercise in maudlin kitsch and teary-eyed, beside-the-point testimonials. Rep. King mishandled this from the start. He is clearly not the brightest bulb in the theater marquee, to put it mildly. He may have set back serious scrutiny of Islamist and jihadist groups in the country for a decade.
"He may have set back serious scrutiny of Islamist and jihadist groups in the country for a decade."
-----------------
If you are talking about serious scrutiny by anyone in government I might agree. However the issue is at the forefront of many people's minds so now is a good time to bring up the subject with people in your circle of influence.
Use this hearing to discuss with people who are on the fence about Radical Islam and explain what you know. I would seriously suggest checking out Citizen Warrior and get comfortable with the information he has posted there so you are better armed to debate the subject.
Robert Spencer has a ton of information here to get acquainted with Islam and its tenets. What Citizen Warrior does is tell you HOW to use that information in ways that will enlighten people or help you win debates.
I would suggest only debate Jihad Muslims for the goal of highlighting what they are saying to others. I've done this on Youtube a few times with success. Don't ever think you will change their minds, it wont happen. Only do it to learn debate skills and countering arguments by those who support Jihadist and Blind Multi-culturalists.
Your goal in your circle of influence is to target people who don't know anything or who are "on the fence" about Islamic Political Doctrine. Make sure they understand why this is important issue and make sure they understand what we can lose should Jihadists win. We need to get as many people aware as possible NOW. The goal is that with more people waking up, we can elect those people to office who will do something about it. People like Marco Rubio, Allen West, Rick Santorum, etc. The more like minded people in office, the easier it will be to have these discussions when our politicians are not being bribed by Islamists. (people like Chris Christie or Bloomberg).
Very slick call-sign, I like it.
"King said he invited him "as an example of my good faith."
Foolish. The Islamic disinformationists like Ellison couldn't care less about King's good faith - which they probably don't even doubt - they just want America misled down the garden path of illusion until it too late to defend themselves and they'll stop at no lie on their way, for example
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/03/keith_ellisons_taqiyya.html
Much maligned Rep. Paul King should be able to see this by now and he should take off his kid gloves and invite some experts the Muslims would really not want Americans to hear from, experts like Mr. Spencer and others who can explain how the Qur'an & hadiths easily inspire Islamic terrorism in the West.
Excellent points.
