It's Friday afternoon, and you know what that means. This time the Islamic supremacists were protesting against their murderous brethren who attacked a church in Alexandria on New Year's Eve, killing 21 -- weren't they? Oddly enough, no; rather, they were enraged over the Copts' supposedly holding two women who converted to Islam. CAIRO - ABOUT 2,000 hardline Islamists protested on Friday outside the Coptic Church's headquarters in Cairo to demand the release of two women they allege are being held after converting to Islam.The protesters, who belonged to the puritanical Salafi sect, marched on St Mark's Cathedral from a mosque after Friday prayers to demand the release of Wafa Constantine and Camellia Shehata, the wives of two priests. The church denies the women converted to Islam.
The Salafis have held regular protests over the case in the past year, but they have usually been smaller in number.
Their cause was eventually picked up by an Al-Qaeda-linked group in Iraq that massacred dozens of Christians in a Baghdad church in November 2010 and vowed more attacks until the two women are freed.
Two months later, a suicide bomber killed more than 20 Copts after a New Year's Eve mass in the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria.
The Coptic Church has reportedly convened a synod in response to the growing assertiveness of Salafis, who have increased their political presence in Egypt since a popular revolt toppled president Hosni Mubarak in February [I tried to tell you -- RS]. Copts, who account for about 10 percent of the country's 80 million people, complain of discrimination. They have been the targets of fairly regular sectarian attacks. -- AFP

The most grotesque projection. These women were *kidnapped by Muslims*, who then declared that they had converted to Islam. This is all too common an occurrence in Dar-al-Islam. It was only because, when the women were recovered by the police, they *denied that they had converted to Islam* that the authorities allowed them to return to their families.
But now Muslims are claiming that the women had indeed converted to Islam and *are being held by the Copts*.
And why? Because "traditionally" in Muslim countries kidnapped Infidel women are considered Muslim booty—in, I'm afraid, *both senses* of the word—and are never allowed to return to their communities.
Muslims want to see this "traditional" form of Muslim supremacy maintained in Egypt, and are willing to keep threatening and murdering Christians until it is.
Let's pray for the Copts. Let's try "The Lord's Prayer"... of Muhammad. Plagiarism or not Plagiarism, you be the judge.

So, this is the kind of respect for minority rights that we may expect in newly "democratized" Egypt.
Since the women in question were wives of clergymen, my guess is that these Salafist mobsters targeted them for abduction and "conversion" for precisely this reason. But, I suppose, that in a pinch, even a woman from a common Christian household will do.
This is something which I would not wish to see for my own society; and if CAIR or anyone else wishes to convince me that it stands for a "religion of peace", it will have to find some way to shame and counter the Salafists of the kind we see in the report above, the Panjabi ruffians who have been picking on the Christians in Pakistan, and the "resistance fighters" who are chasing the Christians out of Iraq.
These Muslim savages didn't protest do they when Lara Loagn was brutally raped by 200 of suspected Muslim men in the so-called Egyptian revolution?! Why do they want these women - to rape them too or enslave them? The two women should apply for refugee status in the West or they will be most likely be kidnapped and raped or murderered by these Muslim savages!
America should cut its aid to Egypt by ten percent every year until it learns to behave like a civilized nation.

Foreign aid is not called for in the US constitution and amounts to thievery and misappropriation...The US recently gave The Palestinian authority's Abu Mazen, a terrorist, $150,000,000 to help him with his budget shortfall...Now they want to lay several million to the Libyan rebels, directly enriching Al-Qaeda...And that's not counting the other endless stream of taxpayer bucks going to support despots...There are States and communities in America that are broke, California has to borrow money to meet payroll, and we are helping terrorists...There is clearly something wrong with this picture...Maybe it will clear up some after 2012 elections...

Memo to AFP, there is a mountain of evidence that this is not about a mere *perception* of being discriminated against; systematic and continual and ugly Muslim discrimination against - and outright persecution of - the Copts in Egypt, is an amply demonstrable fact. It's real, it happens and any outside observer with guts and brains should be able to see that.
This sentence therefore *should* have read:
"Muslim Egypt systematically discriminates against the Christian Copts, who comprise 10 percent of the population".
Now for the next sentence -
"They have been the targets of fairly regular sectarian attacks.'
Translation: "Muslims - whether individually or in large mobs - have repeatedly and violently attacked the Copts".

Its obvious why they didn't protest - because they're the culprits.
You describes Muslim mentality accurately when you say,"in Muslim countries kidnapped Infidel women are considered Muslim booty". In other words, women's real intention or wishes don't even matter. Once a "claim" is put on them, they become their property in body and mind. Once a Muslim, forever a Muslim: Once a Muslim land, forever a Muslim land.
In India this is happening everyday. There are areas were the muslims control the local economy; jobs and everyday business dealings. Hindus are made to convert or else, no job or dealings by the muslims. Whole families are made to convert thru economic hardship put on them. Mothers, wives, daughters are forcifully taken raped and converted. All in the name of Islamist Jihad. And India is a hindu country....go figure.
They're seizing 'turf' in Israel, too.
