At least 12 people who are believed to belong to Iran's Sunni minority have been killed in clashes between security forces and anti-government protesters in the south-western city of Ahwaz since Friday.On Monday, Shirin Ebadi, Iran's Nobel peace prize laureate, wrote a letter to the UN high commissioner for human rights, in which she said "more than 12" Sunni protesters had been killed in Iran's oil-rich province of Khuzestan, home to many Arabic-speaking Sunni Iranians.
According to Ebadi, hundreds of people in Ahwaz had gathered for a peaceful demonstration against the Islamic regime's discrimination towards its Sunni minority.

Iran is 90% Shia and 9% Sunni, w/ Zoroastrians, Christians & Jews making up the rest. Also, Iranians are 50% Farsi, and the rest comprises of Kurds, Azeris, Arabs and Baluchis. So what I wonder is - are all of Iran's Sunnis Kurds and Baluchis, or are there others? In other words, does this minister think that since the Sunnis are oppressed not on religious but ethnic grounds, he is being accurate?

Well, usually it's Sunnis murdering Shi'ites, but since Iran is the world's only Shia majority state, it runs true to form that they are oppressing and killing Sunnis.
Keep in mind, "living in peace" in Islamic terms usually means "oppressed so thoroughly that they are rarely much of a problem to the Muslim majority", whether the subject is dhimmi Infidels or minority-sect Muslims.

So, the "Arab" Muslim population of Iran (Arab Muslims consider themselves true Muslims as Muhammad was Arab. Who says there is no racism in Islam?) is claiming discrimination and demanding equality with Iranian Muslims? The native (conquered by Islam) peoples of Iran are ethnically Persian, not Arab. I doubt that people have already forgotten the power war between Iraq (Sunni) and Iran (Shiite). But, the global jihad is apparently at the stage where they need to prepare the way for the Muslim world (Sunni and Shiite) to unite in their global conquest and plunder, to be loosely united under their political Mahdi/Imam. The poverty-stricken Muslim masses were not enriched by the Middle Eastern oil boon because it was used to plan and fund the global jihad. Now that that oil reserve has plateaued and new fields are being conquered in Africa and South America, those masses are being enticed by the promise of plunder of the West. But first, they need to establish their equality in supremacy.
