Islamophobia at Merriam-Webster

Islamophobia2.jpg

Merriam-Webster online has no definition for "Islamophobia"! Why, it's...it's...an obvious case of, uh...what's that word again?

Here's a new job for Ibrahim "Honest Ibe" Hooper and his merry band of thugs at the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations: cry "Islamophobia" until Merriam-Webster picks up the trumped-up, politically manipulative, and substanceless word forthwith. Clearly the absence of a dictionary definition of the word is a sign of the all-pervasiveness of the concept itself, no?

Claire Berlinski writes about how the concept of "Islamophobia" was cooked up by a Muslim Brotherhood front group, the International Institute of Islamic Thought, in order to intimidate the ignorant and politically correct kuffar and make them too frightened to explore the ways in which Islamic jihadists and supremacists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and subjugation of unbelievers. And of course, among certain groups, it is working wonderfully well.

But Merriam-Webster's lack of a listing shows the newness of this coinage. I expect they'll hop to soon enough.

Amusing article but the truth is that their propoganda is getting thru into the public.

After a party last week I was talking to a jewish woman about the gangs in europe driving jewish people out of malmo and other europian cities.

She responded that that stuff was coming from people who do it only because they can make a lot of money by doing so.

I pointed out that people don't actually tend make a whole lot of money by writing books (especially non fiction) or appearing for 5 minutes on news shows.

I also pointed out those rumors come from articles written specifially to get those rumors into circulation. When newspapers looked into peoples finances they learned they didn't make sizable incomes from their activities.

I'll wait until they incorporate the neologism dhimmitude [from the Arabic word dhimma].

I like where you're headed with this. Homophobia doesn't mean the criticism of homosexuals or homosexuality but rather an irrational aversion or fear of homosexuals or homosexuality. Just like criticism of heterosexuals wouldn't be heterophobia. Hey, I think I just made up a new word!

Muslim Council: women cannot debate wearing veil

The body which claims to be the voice of Britain's Muslims has told women that wearing the veil is "not open to debate".

The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) said that not covering the face is a "shortcoming" and suggested that any Muslims who advocate being uncovered could be guilty of rejecting Islam.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/8455955/Muslim-Council-women-cannot-debate-wearing-veil.html

May be they should take the Islamophobia Test, the Lorna Saltzman’s Islamophobia Test!
http://crossmuslims.blogspot.com/2010/04/are-you-islamophobe.html

The photo in the link just cries out the incongruity of Islam and England. How can the Brits stand having so many of these ridiculous looking bagged women? Such an eye sore to say the least!

Islam just does not belong in the West, period!

Islamophobia, who ever heard of such nonsense? The word itself denotes that we somehow fear these morons, I rather loathe and detest islam and muslims myself, and fear enough of them aren't dying.

I have an older dictionary that defines "Jihad" as "Islamic Holy War."

There is no second definition.

I suppose now the newer dictionaries' define Jihad as "Inner Struggle."

You know what Political Correctness is? It's re-writing facts and history, as the character Winston Smith does at the "Ministry of Truth" in Orwell's "1984."

Disgusting.

Well, while we're at it, let's not foget "Naziphobia" and "Marxistphobia." After all, there's no reason why cluelessness about totalitarianism should only be confined to one totalitarain ideology----you know, the one that keeps hiding behind a religous veil. Let's be stupid and timid all around and lexicographically enshrine such stupidity and timidity.

While CAIR peddles its piffle, I want a picture of MOHAMMAD

http://zombietime.com/mohammed_image_archive/dantes_inferno/ipd00023.jpg

to illustrate the already existing word PEDOPHILE.

It's by world-renowed artist and poet William Blake, so who could oppose it?

I looked up Macquarie Dictionary, here is their definition:

Islamophobia
// (say izlamuh'fohbeeuh)
noun the irrational fear of Islam and its adherents.
–Islamophobic, adjective,

At least they included the word "irrational"

I found an interesting link on Tyrannophobia. (Including this: "Tyrannophobia is indeed at the root of democracy, it calls democracy into being, but it then also prevents good leaders from emerging.")

The folks who crafted the US Bill of (Individual) Rights did not believe in benevolent dictatorship.

One could even look up Titles of Nobility.

See also The Federalist No. 45, in part:

"It is too early for politicians to presume on our forgetting that the public good, the real welfare of the great body of the people, is the supreme object to be pursued; and that no form of government whatever has any other value than as it may be fitted for the attainment of this object."

Islam and Sharia are inherently tyrannical. Who will eventually provide asylum to the Saudi Royal family? And thereafter, how long before the OIC has a membership of zero -- having one by one expelled Sharia and Islam from government?

The march of freedom is not a straight line, and tyrants and megalomaniacs (sane or crazy) will forever try to stand in its path. Tyranny has a definition, because it is real.

But there are lots of words connected with the supremacist ideology of Islam just waiting to be included in dictionaries worldwide.

Islamofear: - Rational fear of Islam due to the Qur'anic mandate to take over the world and impose Shari'a.

Dhimmofilia: - Politicians' bizarre tendency to bend the knee the moment Islam snaps its fingers.

Infidelity: Refusal to bow the knee to Islam. Sometimes confused with lack of faithfulness in personal relationships.

So, for example.

9/11 caused a rising tide of Islamofear around the world. One problem is that dhimmofiliacs in governments and the 'liberal' media have been too eager to please the Medina Mafia thugs. However, the growth of infidelity to Islam through sites like Jihad Watch, has made it possible to
curtail Islam's 14 Century old agenda.

See also, 'infidelity quotient' - one's level of resistance to Islam measured by daily activity in opposing its pervasive influence through letter writing, phoning Congressmen and women, voting for politicians like Allen West, demonstrating etc...

Anyone care to add to the dar-al-Harb dictionary of Islam!

?Muhammadanachriaphobia? Perhaps it's too elongated to be included in the lexicon, though it does transport the gist.

A phobia is an irrational fear of something. Given Islam's 1400 years of barbarism, and the fact that it is the only religion today that is causing these kinds of problems, there is nothing irrational about fearing and hating this sick, backwards, barbaric death cult of an ideology.

I wouldn't expect anything better than Islam from the child raping serial killer who created the religion to get everything he wanted in life, but it's really disturbing how 1.6 billion people look up to this evil man as a role model.

I have to hand it to the muslims - the concept and execution (no pun intended) of what can only be described as "Operation Islamophobia" has been quite superb.

The pathetic, snivelling left-wing press here in the UK swallowed this hook, line and sinker years ago. Anyone who so much as diagrees with a muslim, never mind criticises Islam in the most minor way imaginable, is automatically derided as some sort of irrational racist.

what 'race' is Islam again? I've forgotten...please remind me.

And the people defending it the most, somewhat ironically, are homosexual journalists such as Johann Hari at the toilet paper that is The Independent - which must be one of the wettest, most dhimmified publications in the world today.

He doesn't seem to realise that he would be strung up from the nearest lamp post by the very people he defends.

It's a little bit cheering, though, to see the number of comments enraged by the mcb, and that these have the highest number of 'recommends'. Maybe people are starting to wake up, although very slowly.

Then again, there's 'Islamofibia' - that's lying/fibbing by saying there's such a thing as Islamophobia, or indeed, insisting that there's anything good about the ideology of Islam whatsoever.

fivenineteen, you said:
"I rather loathe and detest islam and muslims myself, and fear enough of them aren't dying."
How about Islamoloathia?
Speaking for me meself, I got it bad.

New developments on RT on the Pastor and the operator of the website. I can't do it myself right now.

Look it up on Wiktionary, http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Islamophobia. Then check the definition of phobia, http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/phobia. Then just for exercise click on a few of the phobias that are real, http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Category:Phobias.

Islamophobia seems to be the only phobia that includes "hate" in the definition. You can tell who wrote that one.

{^_^}

If they add islamophobia it will be the result of islamocoddling islamorageboys and denial of islamorealism.
if a phobia is an irrational fear then the real islamophobes are the leftist idiots who dhimmi themselves for fear of offending the islamorageboys.

Islamophobia and Islamomania are on opposites ends of the stick...But they are the same stick...The true Islamophobes are not kufr, but Mahoundians...They all have a pathological fear of Allah...Allah did a good job of striking fear (terror) into the hearts and minds of Mahoundians...In his book, The Quran, he states very clearly what he has in store for those who stray from the path he set for them...A grievous punishment, usually described as burning flesh...Mahound did a lot of add ons with statements like pouring molten lead into the ears of anyone listening to a songstress (nice)...
Only Mahoundians have 'that' kind of Islamophobia...Islamomania is the way the pious hope to cultivate Allah's favor and get into Paradise, which is not guaranteed...
Personally I have no Islamophobia in my head...No swami does...I asked around the temple and no one has heard of it...I'm not anti-jihad or anti-Islam because I fear it, but because it is evil, and I make no compromises with evil...No swami does...

I confess.

I am a misoislamic.

I am not afraid of islam - islamophobic, but I truly am burqaophobic!

Who knows what is underneath that veil?

...and let's not forget ArachMOphobia.

Robert:
To the charge of being islamophobic, you might robustly reply that you are islamoloathic.

Just checked the dictionary and I see that there might be some confusion between "loath" and "loathe".
Alternates to my aboves:
islamoloathec and islamoloathea

Hmmm...Gonna have to think about this. In today's world, "analog" is usually taken to denote being old and outdated, while "digital" means modern and hip. I'm sure this isn't what you mean to suggest, Poker Mutt and London Jim. Perhaps you have in mind that Islam is digital in the sense that it is binary, polar, inflexible, while the analog nature of the West lies in its infinite flexibility?

Thanks for both of those links, Sean. They were well done. Best thing to do with evil is to end it, but the second best thing is to mock it.

Witchphobia

Official Saudi Arabian death sentence for woman accused of witchcraft, as explanation for a man's impotence. It was carried out "to protect the creed, souls and property of this country[.]"

FreeMarketPhobia: refusal to condemn the Saudi Arabian "Royal" Family and the Not-Free-Market OPEC cartel for fear that these monsters might stop shipping oil.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Aramco

How sound is any contract with any party who's legal system is beset by something as preposterous as Witchphobia?

Does the U.S. even have enough trade with Saudi Arabia to cause real pain if we were to choose a policy of containment? (Containment of monstrous Islam/Sharia.)
http://www.us-sabc.org/files/public/Basic_Economic_Fact_Sheet_March_2011.pdf
Why do we fear calling Saudi Arabia out as a monstrous regime? (This is not itself the same as supporting its replacement with any one of the vile Muslim Brotherhood offshoots.) Any baby step toward individual freedom in the Arab world must surely include the rejection of all forms of tyranny, and rejection of the validity of any and all commercial contracts with tyrants.

Islamophobia: (opposite of Islamophilia or the irrational attraction to a belligerant, geo-political movement whose main doctrine centers around the hatred of all things not Islamic, including women who refuse to wear cloth prisons on their person, men who love men, women who love women, men and women who do not have any invisible means of support, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Zorro, astrophysicists, and humanity in general.) Thus, Islamophobia is the rational fear of such people.

Fun Fact: not one Muslim organization in the United States ever refers to itself as, for example, The Islamic Society of the United States, but instead uses the term North America. This is because Islam does not see the USA as separate from the entire continent of Allah, who, by the way, happens to be incontinent as was his messenger, piss be up in him.

Hello and thank you Eastview. You said,

Yes and yes and more. Listening to zeros and ones would first of all be impossible, and then it would be boring. Digital has to converted into an analog signal and fed to an analog transducer like a speaker and then one hears music to the ears. Anything that is of value to a human is analog.

You caught me a little weary Eastview. Analog also recognizes meaningful values between one and zero which is as you say, "flexible". This stands in opposition to the EITHER/ORism of Islam. And that's just for starters.

Sign me in poker, and apologies for my slow response. .have had an arduous weekend and a whole heap of crap to deal with.

Will somebody PLEASE get the term right?
It is :

IZLAMINAPHENOBIA !

GEE WHIZ !

The Islamophobia backlash, the denial that violence has anything to do with Islamic texts, the search for alternate explanations, the portrayal of Muslims as victims, etc.: call it all collectively "ISLAMORRHEA". "ISLAMOPHOBIA" is a word used to shut down analysis of real events, to shut down reasonable precautionary steps to prevent real violence and submission. Islamorrhea: running off at the mouth, distracting discussion away from investigation of legitimate concerns, dismissing doubters as perverse, using any devices that serve to shield facts about Islam from discussion – is real. The world needs a better vocabulary to defend against accusations of Islamophobia.

For Merriam-Webster, ISLAMOPHOBIA:
1) An epithet used to eliminate discussion of the tenets and practices of Islam that lie beyond the restrictions of Sharia law.
2) Shut up about Islam.

Let's change the definition to suit our needs.

Eastview

That's what struck me about their quotes. I disagree - analog means a continuous signal while digital means a step function. Humans can hear digital signals as well - it just is a case of converting an electrical signal - be it digital or analog - into audio or video.

As far as humans go, once digital achieves a resolution that exceeds what eyes can sense or ears can hear, it's practically analog. For instance, if in a video clip you have more frames per second than what the human eye can pick up, what you'll have is a continuous, rather than a jarring, video stream. That's why I disagree w/ the 'Islam is digital' statement - if a digital signal has a high enough resolution, it becomes analog, but if Islam becomes more Islamic, it doesn't become non-Islamic.
