"Moderate" Muslim Council of Britain: Muslims who say that women need not cover their hair are guilty of rejecting Islam

The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) said that not covering the face is a "shortcoming" and suggested that any Muslims who advocate being uncovered could be guilty of rejecting Islam.

Although the Telegraph is one of the UK papers that is usually prepared to address issues of Islamic intolerance, it should have at least pointed out that "guilty of rejecting Islam" means aposty and therefore the death penalty. In other words this ruling is effectively threatening all none observant Muslim women with death. Is that allowed under British law? I think not.

And the next step will be for them to come out and demand that kufr women in their own kufr countries wear bags over their heads, too.

Islam, fortunately, carrys the seeds of it's own destruction within it.

If it weren't for the "distraction" of having to kill the jews, christians, and pretty much everybody else (infidels), they ultimately kill, and will kill, each other for many of the same reasons.

Islam is not a religion, it is a psychotic cult of hatred, death and destruction with religious overtones and justification mixed in. Perfidy, death and destruction are the devils desire, not God's.

I'll bet lots of UK citizens are asking: "If France can ban the veil, then why can't we?" The answer:yes you can!

Banning the veil is a very effective wedge issue in the war against radical Islam. Although many public spokesmen defend wearing the veil (in effect wearing a mask in public), it's become, IMO, an obvious reach on their part to do so. It's a debate we should welcome.

I hope this announcement will help dispell illusions about "moderate" Islam, or about trusting "moderate" Muslims.

This shows the total absence of latitude in the interpretation of faith in Islam...and is a direct repudiation of the "Islam is not a monolith" mantra that taqiyya practitioners and their dhimmi allies so often tout as proof of the benign nature of Islam.

There is a very good case to bar all face coverings in public (which is what the French ban is doing), for security reasons. Besides, it's bloody rude to walk about our streets with a mask on like a criminal!

And there are many, many serious people who support such a ban, including me. Those Muslim women that go along with--or promote--veiling are actually endangering the safety and lives of women who go without veils. By asserting that wearing a veil makes one woman modest and decent, they are simultaneously implying that NOT wearing a veil makes another woman immodest and indecent--shoving her into the old trap of "asking for" crimes done to her because she dresses as she chooses.

The directive to wear a veil enables an aggressive, pathological kind of competitiveness between women, which is very beneficial indeed to Muslim men who seek to retain their exclusive power.

There are several ways that Islam can be discredited. Exposing Mohammed for the brutal and lascivious psychopath that he was is one of them. Pointing out all the venom that exists in the Koran, Hadiths and Sira is another. And arguing as effectively as possible that Islam is an absolute guarantee that women can never be equal to men is a very important one too. Maybe long term, arguably the most important.

The single most enduring revolution of the twentieth century is the woman's revolution. There's no going back to a time when women were denied all kinds of rights and opportunities. Islam is hopelessly retrograde here on the issue of gender equality. That's yet another reason why it is destined for oblivion, though not before it has a last gasp which will pull down a lot of the world for many decades.

There are about four or five Muslim spin-doctors in the comments, busy throwing sand, but there are a *lot* of people who are completely onto them and are not letting them get away with it.

This is quite a smart move by the Muslim Council as it throws down the gauntlet and challenges outright the British Goverment.
If the goverment does nothing, and in all probability the UK goverment had not planned to impose a ban, then it will be seen that the goverment has backed down to the dominance of the Council's edict. Islam thus wins and has taken another step in the (not so) stealth Jihad.
If the goverment imposes a ban then the Islam can again claim "victim" status and proclaim discrimination against it in the UK.

Yet some women in France insist they wear the veil of their own volition. That's like saying I wear a tie to work of my own volition. If it weren't required of me by my boss, I wouldn't do it.
