In Kandahar, several thousand young men, shouting slogans calling for death to Americans and to the government of President Hamid Karzai, were still rioting after several hours on Saturday, setting tires on fire throughout the city, burning cars and attacking journalists trying to cover the disorder. Both Afghan and international news media had initially played down or ignored the actions of Mr. Jones, the Florida pastor. How many more lives of NATO and particularly US soldiers and civil personnel (medics, teachers etc who help backward societies to keep up) must be lost to understand one simple thing: backward societies does not deserve all this attention that is given them. Western civilization went a long way to the top by itself. We are not obliged to share. The only thing that is relevant in the present days is to withdraw from everywhere, build a huge wall both in cultural and trade relations sense, deny the barbarians luxury of weapons of any kind, build an even greater wall around Israel, deny barbarians education, medical care, free food. Let them work to get their own. And watch them die off.

And herein lies our answer to the "tiny minority of extremists" canard. As we see in Afghanistan...and Nigeria...and Egypt...and Pakistan....and Indonesia...and in so many other countries in the Islamic realm, it's not just terrorists who are perpetrating violence, it is the frenzied mob and their blood lust, egged on by the learned clerics. The insane Pastor Jones, and now President Karzai bear part of the responsibility for the mayhem sweeping Afghanistan. Karzai was with the devout Muslims on this one, calling for retribution. They call for his head. Tough crowd that has been taught since little on that if a Muslim takes infidels as friends they are like them. With the body count that has stacked up during his regime Karzai didn't bat an eye during this recent spate of trouble. If it goes in the toilet he'll be whisked to safety to live out his days on a military transport.

in the late 19th Century the Brits had problems with jihadists in Northern India (today Pakistan). They solved the problem by wrapping all dead jihadists in pig skin thereby preventing the jihadists from a passage to the Whorehouse in the Sky. And exactly the scenario of Jean Raspail's "Camp of the Saints" from over 30 years ago.
I think this incident, and our problems with Karzai, illustrate the dangers of military intervention in other countries. When we invade and occupy a country, we are opening ourselves to hostile, guerrilla actions, and also forcing us to support unsavory allies such as Karzai, on whom we depend to present a fig leaf of popular support for our presence.
This is why it is so upsetting to see us intervene at the drop of a hat in places like Libya. It is more than obvious by this time that the rebellion would have folded long before now, if not for our planes acting as air support for the rebel mobs. We will very soon find our troops on the ground, supporting mobs of people of whose ideology we have no idea. This will become another 100-billion dollar boondoggle...and for what?
President Obama explained our intervention as opportunistic. We have no crucial interest in Libya, but our allies were willing to intervene, so we had to act in order to not pass up the opportunity to have our allies intervene along with the US ???????
I think the critical point for our allies is that they are deathly afraid of crowds of Muslim refugees pushing over their borders. They are therefore desperate to prevent the barbarous reckoning that Khadaffy will doubtless impose on his population once his forces have won.
This is going to sound heartless, but it's us or them. The European countries will eventually have a choice of allowing in essentially all refugees, or airlifting them to the edge of some Middle Eastern population center in a very poor country, and dropping them off with a few thousand dollars each. Likely they will be killed, but they may be able to negotiate the money for some type of citizenship.
I got off on Libya, but the point is, intervention is extremely dangerous, as illustrated by Afghanistan. No one has any illusion that Afghanistan in the foreseeable future will be anything but a corrupt, violent, oppressive Islamic society, but we still commit lives and wealth to prop up allies like Karzai.
Note that the below is not an endorsement or justification for any of Obama's policies
But those who have been defending Bush's policies of supporting Karzai in Afghanistan, Musharraf/Zardari in Pakistan, Maliki in Iraq, the rulers of Saudi Arabia, Bahrein and even Yemen would do well to realize that we have no friends or allies in dar ul Islam and can never have. As they say, for Muslims, loyalty is only rentable, never permanent. Given that reality, the only policy of the West should be to encourage Alien vs Predator civil wars in all Muslim countries from Morocco to Brunei, and just sit back and split open the popcorn bag.
Of course, don't expect such clear-sighted policies from Obama, Palin or any other presidential candidate - GOP or Dem - anytime in the foreseeable future
No matter how much of our blood and treasure we end up pouring into these archaic Islamic Countries, they will still hate us.

I don't agree that the West should encourage wars between Muslims. We should do all in our powers of persuasion to encourage peaceful, safe societies, in Muslim countries as in all others. I don't have a problem with the Obama administration persuading the Egyptian army to not fire on the protesters.
But, I strongly object to any concrete, military intervention by Western countries. If the Muslims kill each other, they will have to take responsibility for it. Muslim governments will do as they have always done: persecute heresy and trample on individual freedoms and personal property rights. The Muslim countries will become increasingly backwards with respect to the West. Eventually, the best of them will renounce Islam, if they know that is the only way to gain entry to the advanced, free Western societies.
The idea of acting responsibly and avoiding unnecessary "provocations" that might trigger a fit of rage from the global madman might have made sense if it was coherently applied across the board to everything related to Islam. For instance, if our leaders said "look, we have here a rather big problem with an insane 7th century religion about 20% of the world population believe in. We know it can cause a lot of violence and even a world war, so we should do our best to minimize its influence on our lives, minimize our contact with it, reduce its ability to acquire weapons and to expand its territory and its rule, and try to avoid as much as possible pi**ing off its adherents beyond the absolutely necessary since it usually triggers severe psychotic episodes". That would make sense. Of course, it'll mean ending Muslim mass immigration, ending arms sales to Muslim countries and Muslim rebels, supporting infidel states on the frontlines and infidel or anti-Islamist rebels, and also temporarily recommending to avoid such actions as drawing "blasphemous" caricatures and burning the Quran that can cause the madman to throw another violent fit.
But instead our leaders say "Islam is a religion of peace, except a few extremist misunderstanders, it is as good or better than Western culture, and to say anything else is racist and evil, not to mention untrue". So we should continue with things as usual. Mass immigration must continue and if you say otherwise you're an evil racist. We should continue selling them weapons and arming the rebels. And if Afghan Muslims go on a rampage, killing people and vandalizing girls schools as a response to some minister somewhere burning a copy of the Quran, then it's obviously the fault of that minister. If you were in their place, wouldn't you do the same? If some Afghan imam had burnt a bible wouldn't Christians in the US or elsewhere go on a rampage, behead UN workers and random Muslims in the neraest mosque, and vandalize a girls school? You say they haven't so far in spite of bible burnings, persecution of Christians and terrorist attacks? Well, that's obviously just a coincidence.

What captures my interest is, "I grow more and more despaired every day."
I feel the same way more and more often. Beauty is hard won and a fight unending. But back to the despair. I believe it is alarming because of what comes next and that would probably be, "I cease to care". Right now we still would "rather fight than switch". Since Islam does not allow for neutrality when it is ascending, "I cease to care" is for all purposes the same as saying, "I'd rather switch than fight". Islam will not tolerate, "whistling in no-man's-land". Many unaware individuals and groups have a dog in this fight.

I'll never cease to care. I've been studying Islam since 9/12/01 and blogging since 2005. Mr. Spencer and Pamela Geller can vouch for my commitment to getting the truth out -- even as my personal situation has gone a terrible upheaval now that I have to caregive my totally disabled husband since 2009.
That said, I've learned something I never wanted to believe: I can explain the facts till my face turns blue, but some people will never open their eyes. I have alienated friends, family, and colleagues. I have lost clients. People don't want to know the truth!
I'm very concerned as to what WILL open the eyes of those still blind to the threat of Islam.
The Pastor burned a Koran to set an example and prove a point. He knew it would cause Muhammadan riots all over the Islamic world because he knows that Islam isn’t a so-called Religion of Peace™ but instead a 7th century barbaric code of honor among thieves and murderers, which were what Muhammad and his followers in the 7th century were. Nevertheless, while the Pastor that burned the Koran has proven his point, he also has the blood of the dead innocent people killed in the rioting on his hands. Hence, may he burn in hell for eternity for his stupidity.
In any event, the stupidity of the Pastor doesn’t excuse or justify the barbaric behavior, the riots, or the murder of innocent non-Muhamamdans, and considering the rate that Muhammadans are being imported into our countries in the West without our consent, people should take notice, that you can’t import Muhammadans into your country without also importing jihad and sharia, as jihad and sharia are intrinsic to Islam and you can’t get one without the others since they are inseparable.
Not to mention that hardly a day goes by in the Islamic world when a bible isn’t burned or a church isn’t burned to the ground. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago 69 churches in Ethiopia were burned to the ground by Muhammadans in just one week, hundreds of Christians were slaughtered, and thousands of Christians were forced to flee for their lives, and this all happened in a country that is two-thirds Christian and just one-third Muhammadans. Hence, in just a few short years time, these kinds of atrocities will become common and regular routine occurrences throughout Europe if the unassimilated Muhammadan population continues to explode and if Islamic immigration with its excess baggage isn’t very dramatically curbed.
How ironic it is that Muhammadans living in the West today are free to build thousands of mosques and madrassas, while non-Muhammadans living in the Islamic world are not only forbidden from building houses of worship, but they are also forbidden from openly practicing their religion.
In any event, it should be obvious to even to the most dedicated Muhammadan apologists and sympathizers that Islam isn’t a so-called Religion of Peace™ and that Muhammadans aren’t compatible with Western liberal democracy, freedom, and modern civil society.
jones is just a con man trying to make a living off religion. This loser burned a koran strictly as a publicity stunt. This was just a business deal for him, so he should be socked with clean up and protection expenses.

It is not uncommon for a soldier to wear more than one hat. When I was a signals officer, my secondary duty was being the NBC officer for the unit.

Karzai has threatened to join the Talibanimals. In a der Spiegel interview he said, "I admire the Taliban for their morality." That morality included: denying "talaqed" (muslim declaratory divorce) women the right to work, and murdering them for begging for food; burying "blasphemers" in rock piles; flogging men whose beards werent' long enough to emulate the ersatz "prophet'"; banning all music and film. How about nation-destruction, instead of nation-building?

In Kandahar, several thousand young men, shouting slogans calling for death to Americans and to the government of President Hamid Karzai, were still rioting after several hours on Saturday, setting tires on fire throughout the city, burning cars and attacking journalists trying to cover the disorder. It's true that each of us has to decide how much risk to take when dealing with the vicious "religion of peace". After all, I wasn't christened "Gravenimage"—I post here anonymously for a reason.
That being said, though, do you really believe that this stops at Qu'ran burnings? If Muslims get our capitulation here, next it will be criticism of the Qu'ran—which is essentially what Pastor Jones was doing—or criticism of Islam, or of the actions of Muslims.
If you want to see where it ends, just look at any part of Dar-al-Islam that imposes full dhimmitude.
We have to draw the line somewhere, or else we will find ourselves living under Shari'ah law.
Litmus-test for every Muslim seeking asylum or wanting to immigrate into a Democratic Nation:
What is your attitude concerning Quran-burning? It is OK if you deeply deplore it, but .....
- Will you accept it as part of free speech and swear to that effect? (Or something like that).
- Or is it your attitude that this should be forbidden and punished?
If there is refusal to swear the oath of Quran-burning-acceptance-as-free-speech no entry should be permitted to such a person, not even for reasons of marriage.
Of course many will swear false, but still, it's one test of many for (all) immigrants.

All of these protests cannot be the result of spontaneous gatherings of unorganized groups of enraged Muslims. A message is being sent or more accurately, repeated by the Muslim world, that any disparagement of Islam, no matter how slight or seemingly inconsequential, will be met with extreme measures; death and destruction directed at non-Muslims in predominantly Muslim enclaves around the world.
All you dhimmis out there, shut your damned, filthy, blasphemous mouths and submit to your betters or be prepared to suffer disproportionate consequences. And the West reacts “valiantly” by proclaiming moral equivalence, "courageously" owning up to all of the violence and mayhem perpetrated by non-Muslims and loudly condemning the Pastor in Florida who is now probably regretting his defiance in the face of the mayhem resulting from his burning of a book; paper, printed and bound, containing the printed words, ostensibly of the Muslim God, Allah. You want to burn a Christian bible, a holy book from any other religion or an agnostic or atheist screed, go right ahead and we'll send our military anywhere in the world to protect your right to do so but DO NOT touch a Qur’an, draw a picture of the mass murderer, Mohammad (Pox Be Upon Him) or look cross eyed in the direction of a Mosque, or be prepared to suffer severe consequences from the believers in "the religion of peace."
That the West continues to bend over and spread their cheeks for these evil bastards turns my stomach. Where is common sense? CAIR seems impervious and remains a powerful influence despite the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial, the subsequent arrest and confinement of from 15 to 65 years for five of their leadership, their resulting un-indicted co- conspirator status and the refusal of the FBI to engage with them, and their representatives, spokespersons, etc., continue to appear on the major news networks and print media to spread their evil propaganda with little in the way of widespread repudiation. We just have simple disagreements that can easily be resolved by giving in to all of their demands to honor their cultural differences by dishonoring ours. They are, after all, “the religion of peace,” as we are reminded of endlessly along with the always unspoken admonition to disbelieve our lying eyes and ears and face “reality,” an outcome they’re determined to prevent.
Until Western leadership can bring itself to overcome its self imposed bonds of political correctness and aversion to criticism of a political system in the guise of a religion intent on world domination, regardless of the mounting evidence in support of this indictment, the West is doomed to repeat the catastrophic mistakes of the past and worse. This time the “West” may become just another historical reference to a glorious but failed human experiment in personal freedom and self governance, a footnote in the annals of significant world events buried or destroyed as blasphemous lies perpetrated by infidels. What a damn sorry state of affairs.
These are not radical extremists or hijackers of a religion, they are main stream Muslims whose only mistake may be their increasingly blatant lies convinced as they are, and understandably so, of western inferiority, ignorance and naiveté. They are ever more in our face claiming Western intolerance, bigotry and inherent racism as they commit unspeakable violence, openly, in their part of the world and point fingers at the west for causing it. This is the murderer playing the victim by blaming the victim and the West trips over itself, bowing and scraping and promising to be more tolerant in future.
Perhaps we’ll soon have an epiphany and see how the game is played, realize what fools we’ve been and recognize the existential nature of this threat. We’d better and soon.
