Syria: Muslim Brotherhood behind new "Day of Rage"

“You were born free so don’t let a tyrant enslave you.” Yes. Instead, let Sharia enslave you.

"Muslim Brotherhood Behind Syria‘s New ’Day of Rage,’" by Jonathon M. Seidl for AP, April 29 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):

BEIRUT (AP) — The banned Muslim Brotherhood urged Syrians to take to the streets on Friday as activists called for a “Day of Rage” against President Bashar Assad’s regime, which has stepped up its deadly crackdown on protesters by unleashing the army along with snipers and tanks.

The government warned against holding any demonstrations. Syrian state television said the Interior Ministry has not approved any “march, demonstration or sit-in” and that such rallies seek only to harm Syria’s security and stability.

Activists in Syria are planning nationwide protests following Muslim prayers in solidarity with more than 50 people killed in the last week alone in Daraa, a southern city at the heart of the revolt.

Since the uprising in Syria began in mid-March, inspired by revolts across the Arab world, more than 450 people have been killed nationwide, activists say.

Friday’s statement by the Muslim Brotherhood was the first time the outlawed group has openly encouraged the protests in Syria. The Brotherhood was crushed by Assad’s father, Hafez, after staging an uprising against his regime in 1982.

“You were born free so don’t let a tyrant enslave you,” said the statement, issued by the Brotherhood’s exiled leadership....

I don't do Fridays. Monday through Wednesday, perhaps. And Syria? Definitely out. I'm just not into western Asia, and this "Rage" thing doesn't do anything for me. Sorry.

It's incredible the way muslims can talk about 'freedom' with a straight face - it's a real skill.

And brain-dead, left wing zombies wet their pants and lap it up as if it were mother's milk...

"protests following Muslim prayers" ...

I am not the least bit surprised by protests following muslim prayer, since praying to allah invokes satan into one's heart, mind & soul.

“You were born free so don’t let a tyrant enslave you”

That's a good one, when expressed by the slaves of Allah.

1400 years of rage hasn't got the ummah anyplace special. They need to quit pushing this 'rage' thing before it topples back on top of them.

The former Assad stopped the Muslim Brotherhood dead in its tracks. If the MB had taken over Syria, the situation would have been far worse. So yet again we are confronted with the devil we know, who is definitely better then the devil in the wings. Since then, the MB has gone underground since it was violently suppressed – yes violently, as that is the only language that violent Jihadis understand.

One good aspect of Syria is that it has allowed its non-Muslim minorities to live and flourish in peace, without fear of persecution. Christians are free to live and practice their faith, something that would vanish in Syria if the MB gained power. Syria is also the country where large numbers of Iraqi Christians have found refuge after our intervention to make Iraq a “tolerant” state. In fact, the coalition went out of its way NOT to protect Christians in Iraq.

It is worth remembering that all our interventions in Muslim countries, with a kind of democracy and elections, lead to hard-line Sunni Salafist regimes, who have murdered their non-Muslim minorities, burned churches and expelled the rest. The same is happening, quite predictably, in Egypt, where Christians are facing far greater persecution then in the days of Mubarak. Egypt’s regime is also considering revoking the peace treaty with Israel.

In Syria, Sunni fanatics + the MB are now seizing the moment to take power via demonstrations that will will inevitably lead to violence. If these Sunni fanatics are not stopped, via violence if necessary, then I fear for Syria’s minorities, and the Iraqi Christians will then have to flee once more – where I don’t know, as the West does not accept persecuted Christians. We will also see a regime that is far more anti-Israeli then the one of Assad.

Steffen,

Perfect! OMG, you couldn't have captured the irony of these stupid, inbred black rock-worshipers' beliefs any better!

In V S Naipaul's 'Among the Believers', which contains the observations he made during a journey through four Muslim countries - Iran, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia - in the immediate wake of the takeover of Khomeini in Iran - he remarks at one point that 'Islam sanctifies rage'.

It is very evident that the Muslim Brotherhood is strategizing as never before to lead the Muslim world to take over societies, but rhough deceitful "democratic" means, gaining attention through capturing the electorate moreso than by carrying on violent suicidal missions. How far they will be able to penetrate societies is yet to be seen. May those of us who are evangelical be alert to what is happening, as potential confrontations come because of our insistence on adherance to the Word of God concerning Christ. Truly we are in the last times foretold by Him.

Syria's place in the global jihad was in keeping a low profile while they harbored the WMD's. Now that they have apparently dispersed the weapons they are joining in the revolution for Islamic democracy (Islamic Constitution which paves the way for Muslims to vote in Sharia). The global jihad must believe it is in place to take the world hostage.

A harsh civil war is needed in Syria to shake up a nation mired in 14th century politics. Liquor and pork introduced to the population will speed up the process of Westernization.
