Five years imprisonment for "possession" of a "pocket knife"?! This is nuts.

It does give us some idea, again, of how, even under relatively "moderate" versions of limited sharia, such as in Egypt today, Muslim authorities can find excuses to punish non-Muslims and excuse Muslims. There is not now, nor was there ever, nor will there ever be, an Islamic system in which non-Muslims are treated fairly and justly.

I always keep modern-day reports like this in mind when I read about how non-Muslims were treated historically under Islam. I suspect that a significant amount of the Islamic "history" available to us has been whitewashed by Muslims and apologists, even though some of it which survives (and which is documented by scholars such as Bat Ye'or) does gives us a glimpse of Muslim persecution on non-Muslims. If things are this bad now in Egypt, how much worse must they have been 100, 500, 1000 years ago.

That's 8,000,000 of your fellow Christians, Barack Hussein Obama. Can we take your silence on their plight, as consent to their oppressors? You indulge Arabs who oppress Sudanese Negros, even though the latter are muslim. The genocidal policies of Hamas and Hizbollah operate under your radar (or rhetoric). You see nothing wrong with mass murders of Buddhists, Hindus, Serbs, Secular Chechens, etc by those captivated by the religion of your abandoner' father.

When the muslim enemy takes license to commit jihad-terror, they don't do that without an indulgence. As for Arabs, they were absolutely void of power until League of Nations/Anti-Comintern/Cold War conditions compelled Anglo-American oil interests to allow concoction of fake sovereignties in the "peninsula." Said conditions no longer apply. The only thing preventing the US from disempowering the arab savage is: Saudi ownership of US Presidents.

Or, as Italy's clueless Silvio Berlusconi says: "Arab Spring shows democracy compatible with Islam".

And were that he were the only one. Certainly, President Obama is also gushing over the alleged march of freedom and democracy in the Muslim world.

Everyone I have ever known has wanted things to get better. It means different things to different people, of course, and not everyone who wants actually works for. But the idea is there. Muslims want better. We might question what better means to them. We might ask if it means more Islam. If so, we might ask what that means in a Muslim-dominated state. What does it mean for those who are not Muslims? We could ask Copts what it means if Egyptians en masse want to improve the nation. Would we expect Muslims in Egypt to say they don't want to improve the nation? I don't think so. I think most Egyptians will say they want loads more improvement. Muslims make up about 90 per cent of the Egyptian population. Copts make about 10. If 100 per cent of Copts work to improve things, and on the other side (help with with my math, if you will,) 12 per cent of Muslims work to improve things, who is going to improve things more? What chance, assuming every Copt in Egypt can do something good for Copts, do Copts have to improve their lives when just the opposite is the goal of the other 90 per cent? I'm saying the hope and change Copts might think of as improvement is a unicorn. No Hope. Change is worse.

Are western nations going to take in, say, 2.5 million Egyptian refugees? And then however many Libyan Christians. And Algerian Christians. Tunisian Christians. The list is 52 nations long. How many Christians are western nations going to take in? If Western nations do not give refuge to Christians in Muslim nations, what is going to happen to those Christians if Muslims keep on "improving" their nations?

I read that "someone should do something." I'm going to consider that as soon as I figure out the idea of "diffusion of responsibility." Meanwhile, may I suggest that those who go to church might start demanding that their fellow Christians could create a non-profit organisation dedicated to locating an area of resettlement for masses of persecuted Christians. It's not a totally new idea. Theodor Herzl considered moving Jews to Uganda. Lenin's idea was to move Jews to the Jewish autonomous homeland, (Евре́йская автоно́мная о́бласть.) To use another fancy foreign term, these ideas sucked. Ideas are a dime a dozen, and one must ask those persecuted even unto death if they WANT to move. Of course they do, right up until you ask them. Some do. Some will.

Where can Christian refugees from Islamic persecution go? America is not having them. Where are a hundred million people going to go? It requires a whole nation willing to transform itself into a Christian nation, one centred on Christianity rather than on culture or race or long-standing occupancy. If not an armed invasion, what could be a reason for any people wanting such a number of foreigners? Christianity.

I'm arguing for a Christian Zion, a place like Israel is for Jews. Will western death hippies like it? Will Muslims like it? Will this be a popular success at the U.N.? I know this much about Christianity: "All political power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

One starts with a few pieces of paper that give legal force to ones charity. From there one begins financing an office. Then a couple of people to work on creating a nation from Christian refugees from Islam. Have a goal. Start small. Improve on it. Do some small thing that can be done. You are someone. You should do something. If you would like some help, maybe I'll pitch in.

In muslim countries it's an unwritten law that non muslims are not allowed to defend themselves from muslim attacks.

That's why pakistani police ignore complaints about muslims kidnapping non muslim women.

That is what the children thowing stones in Israel is about.

Europian travelers to the middle east in previous centuries wrote of seeing muslim children throwing stones at old jewish men for fun. They did this because if the jewish man would smack the child in retaliation all the muslims in town would lynch him.

As with many others after 9/11, I have attempted to understand Muslim's and their relationship with Islam. I found this old (2007) FPM link to an interesting article about political Islam. It is a well thought out and informative.
