We have yet to hear the pilot's side of the story, but this situation smells bad for several reasons, not least of which is the curious coincidence of the imams' travel plans to a conference on the concocted phenomenon of "Islamophobia." And in any event, the imams ought to understand this before claiming victimhood: Even as the air security apparatus bends over backwards to avoid the appearance of any special focus on one particular group, the single most serious terrorist threat at home and abroad to the United States is from jihadists. And we know well their preference for the drama and massive disruption that targeting air travel provides them. Hence the scrutiny.
They have already gotten an apology from the airline, and the TSA will busily continue its work screening wheelchair-bound nuns.

I renew here my proposal for Moslem Air. It would be the FAA operating an all DC-9 (aka MD-80) airline cuz there's a glut of the older models right now and used DC-9s are cheap. The FAA could operate a few old 747s over the Atlantic.
The central feature of the package would be no Moslems allowed on other flights. That way Infidels could once again enjoy optimum flight safety.

A couple of weeks ago I was in Frankfurt for a connecting flight and I saw a muslim passenger wearing camouflage jacket heading for a flight to India. They were carring excess baggage and were thoroughly checked by Luftansa security. They also played the victim card. Wearing an army camouflage jacket is inviting provocation from security.

An alternative might be to have the flights be ALL Muslim including flight crew, but have a remote contolled explosive on board controlled by the TSA. The TSA could detonate the device if the plane did not follow the correct flight path and was not responded to calls from the TSA requesting information on why they had strayed from the flight path.

DEATH CULTISTS shouldn't expect to board planes whether dressed as a Nazi storm trooper or a Muslim Jihadist.
I used to live in Saudi Arabia and I found it fascinating that many of my students still lived with their African slaves, who had been "liberated" several decades before yet had nowhere to go and no way to get there. This is technically not much different from the US in the 1880s... with the great exception being that the movement to abolish slavery did not develop naturally within Islamic Saudi Arabia, but rather was forced upon them by the post World War II international political order from without.
I also used to find it sad, on some freakish level, to see all the African-American converts to Islam who had relocated to Saudi Arabia to live where they could wrap their wives up in burqas/abayas, and enjoy their unearned status of superiority over the Infidel without having done a thing to earn it, yet at the same time the local Arabs just looked down at them with total racist disdain and scoffed at their attempts to indigenize and become equal. It got so bad that in one of my classes I had to demand the Saudi students from every referring again to the African student in my class as nigger and slave which I found repugnant. (Brilliantly, this African student was one of my best students!)
And very technically, this anecdote could easily be recast and retold at various places across the United States, either in the past or even in the present day, but what really shocked me recently was a coffee I had with a local, well educated late-20s Kuwaiti here in California who stated to me point blank: "Islam allows slavery, and therefore slavery should be legal and re-institutionalized. Its abolition is a violation of Islam and cannot be tolerated."
Honestly, I was shocked. Certainly, relations between the various ethnic groups in the United States are not without their deep problems - even in the best of times - but never have I come across a multi-lingual, well traveled, university educated Westerner who stated or even insinuated that slavery should be reintroduced to our countries.
Whenever I came upon African-American converts in Saudi Arabia, I just pitied them. Wanting so much to escape their enslaved history in the Americas, unwilling to embrace their magnificent ancient African culture and history, and instead running into the arms of those who seek to re-enslave them - this time under the binding and inescapable justification of Muhammad and Allah.
We still have the economic clout in this country. If you see Muslims, ask for another flight. No one them can be trusted. Believe me, if airlines start hearing about Americans feeling uneasy in the presence of Muslims, things will change.

Rosa Parks was involved in the civil rights movement in the early days when Dr. King defined its goals as being based on non-violence and equality. Islam, being violent and supremacist, is much more akin to the forces of darkness that the civil rights movement opposed.
Your comment resonated with me when I reflected upon what an Egyptian student I taught years ago conveyed to me. He said that his fellow Egyptians had nothing but contempt for the black race and thought all attempts to transform ancient Egyptian history, the Egypt of the Pharaohs and the thirty-some dynasties, into an era of black history was something met with nothing but pure contempt by Egyptian Arabs.
Though I have myself concluded that the idea that ancient Egyptian civilization was certainly not a Negroid phenomenon (except for the 25th Dynasty), I have dismissed the PC/MC nonsense which asserts such without any venom towards blacks. I took away the distinct impression, though, from my conversations with the Egyptian I taught that venom towards blacks was very much a major part of the aggregate Egyptian rejection of this spurious hypothesis. Sometimes, after all, one can be right and still quite narrow-minded.

I have yet to read a single report with a direct quote from either the pilot or any other passenger from that plane. Every report reports the event strictly from the imam's or CAIR's point of view. Failing to identify the flight number, pilot's identity, seat assignments or any other relevant detail which may provide a hint about any other perspectives.

The reason why is so you can show whomever you are debating with that they can see four different version of the Quran simultaneously. This usually shuts up the person who says that this version of the Quran is not authoritative but that version is or the person who is quoting from the more sanitized version will be shushed when people see the other versions along side.
