Pakistan: Muslim businessman falsely accuses Christian rival of blasphemy, forces him to flee, mob sets fire to his shop

Lahore – Once more, Pakistan’s ‘black law’ strikes again. A Muslim businessman has used the infamous blasphemy law against a rival and former associate, who happens to be Christian. More and more, the law is being used to persecute the country’s Christian minority or settle personal scores. The victim is Gulzar Masih, from Sialkot, who owns a bookstore. Yesterday, he and his son had to flee town, fearing reprisals by local Muslims who tried to set fire to his shop. Only the intervention of police stopped the attackers.
Ten years ago, Gulzar Masih opened a bookstore in Druman Wala Chowk, a Sialkot neighbourhood, along with a Muslim associate Abdul Rauf. As business increased, they bought a bigger store.

“As soon as the business started growing, Abdul Rauf wanted to take over the business. Some issues started between the partners, and ultimately in 2009 the Delight Book Shop was divided into two shops, Delight Books and New Delight Books,” said Fr Anwar Feroze, who knows the victim. “However, because Gulzar Masih had good contacts with suppliers, his business grew. Rauf was not happy with that and quarrelled with his old partner.”

Yesterday, there was a showdown. Gulzar Masih’s son Suleman went to open the store and found some burnt pages of the Qur‘an under the shutter. After witnessing the scene, employees of Abdul Rauf began to shout, accusing Gulzar and his son of the deed.

According to Fr Naeem Taj, a priest involved in defending Christians, the burnt pages were deliberately planted in order to frame the Christian businessman and his rival was behind it to drive his competitor out of business. “The blasphemy law is being once more as a pretext to settle a personal score,” the clergyman said.

Upon hearing shouts from the Muslim bookseller, a group of Muslims gathered in order to attack Suleman Masih, who was however able to flee and inform his father. In the meantime, the mob went over to the shop owned by the Christian man to set it on fire. Police intervened in time to prevent the fire and disperse the crowd, but they did not file any charges for the attempted arson....

What a surprise.

Take alms out of their property, you would cleanse them and purify them thereby, and pray for them; surely your prayer is a relief to them; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

Torching a competitor's inventory is taking alms out of his property and a proper cleansing and purification.

If you're a Moslem businessman in Lahore today, business is good; not so much if you're an Infidel businessman.

What is really ironic is these Muslims, who are constantly projecting their desire to take over the world on to everyone else, desecrate their own holy books and plant them to frame others! It would be sweet justice if the other Muslims realised this and punished their own with to full extent the con-artists hoped would be used against their victims!

That will probably never happen, of course, but it would be fitting.

After being exposed to the ridiculousness of Sharia for too long, Westerners are becoming infected. Just look at the headline: the Christian is "falsely" accused of blasphemy. So what? What's outrageous is that blasphemy is considered a crime. The Christian isn't more worthy of sympathy because he's "falsely" accused.

That's similar to all the women killed in honor crimes. They are often "falsely" accused of adultery or promiscuity. So what. Even if a woman sleeps with the entire soccer team of the Baghdad Mujahids, she doesn't deserve death or flogging.

Although I do not at all share the base conclusion of this following site http://www.tellthechildrenthetruth.com/gallery/,
that the current jihad just started again in 1920, instead of around 620 AD, which was the actual rough jihad founding date, with much waxing and waning through time as satan's cult got beat back periodically.

However, and nevertheless, they do have some interesting and informing photo history posted of some events of islam and nazism, including Germany and Pakistan, et al. Food for thought on recent times, as opposed to the various battles of Tours, Malta, Greece, etc, throughout the history of jihad, of 1350 years!

Can you imagine how many Christians, whose Muslim neighbors covet their businesses, or their property, or—God help us—their marriageable daughters—are terrified of finding Qu'ran pages in their trash, or crumpled up, or singed around the edges, planted where they are likely found by their easily enraged Muslim neighbors?
