In his second day of testimony, David Coleman Headley, a confessed Pakistani-American terrorist, revealed more details about close ties between Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate (ISI) and the Lashkar-i-Taiba terror group, which allegedly carried out the attacks that killed 166 people, including six Americans.Headley said his ISI handler, a man known only as Major Iqbal, made key decisions and was a mastermind of the plot along with Lashkar chiefs. Major Iqbal deployed him on the last of five reconnaissance missions in India to scout targets that Iqbal said would definitely include the Chabad House, a Jewish community center where gunmen later killed three American rabbis, Headley testified. The pregnant wife of one of the rabbis was also killed.
“Major Iqbal told me the Chabad House would be added on whatever list [of targets] there was because it was a front office for the Mossad,” Israel’s intelligence agency, Headley said. He added that Major Iqbal “seemed upset the [Mumbai] airport was not included” as a target.
Nothing suggests that the claim about the Mossad was true.
Headley described in understated tones how terrorist leaders congratulated him for his work casing luxury hotels and other targets chosen to ensure Americans and Jews would die. Asked his reaction to the three-day televised slaughter, he responded: “I was pleased.”...

Well, I knew somebody did. Jews are not exactly a "natural" target in Mumbai, and the Nariman Chabad House is located down a quiet side street south of the Oberoi Trident and Taj Mahal hotels. The Jihadists clearly specifically researched and targeted Jews there.

Good questions. Ask Indian leaders who have time and time again missed the opportunity to straighten out Napakistan (the land of impure). There was an attack on Indian parliament by Napakistani agents right after 9/11 and still the leader of that attack Afjal Guru rots in jail even after his death sentence has been confirmed by the supreme court of India. The present government has no guts to carry out the death sentence - they just keep shuffling his file between Delhi government, President of India and the central government. Nobody is prepared to sign the final. Muslims in India and Pakistan know it very well and it finally resulted in the Mumbai massacre by Pakistani terrorists and still the Indian government talks nonsense of having good relations with Pakistan. Had the Indian government taken action against Pakistan after the attack on Parliament, the Mumbai massacre probably would not have happened.

Six Americans were killed.
For the life of me, I must say that media reports on the individual victims of this attack was extremely sparse. Who were these people? What about the other victims, Indian and foreign? The media coverage told us very little about them, as if they needed to be swept under under the rug. As if they didn't matter. All I recall is that one or two Americans were there due to an interest in yoga or vegetarianism, including a teen girl and her father. I distinctly recall stories about people who left children with babysitters in their rooms, and no follow up as to whether they were reunited, or not.
The media appears to withhold horrors from us so as to not "manipulate" us. But withholding also manipulates, does it not?

Daood Sayed Gilani—he only changed his name to David Coleman Headley so he could travel more easily to India to scout locations for the terrible Mumbai massacre—was actually born in Washington, DC. He is—technically—an American citizen.
His father was Pakistani, and his foolish mother worked at the Pakistani embassy as a secretary. She considered herself "rebellious" and a "free-spirit". Her maiden name was Headley. The marriage did not last long, and daddy got custody and took Daood and his sister to Pakistan when they were young.
Daood attended a military academy there—perhaps the same one that is down the road from where bin Laden was hiding out. Following one of Pakistan's many coups, his mother got worried about him and went to Pakistan to bring him back to the US. I don't know if his father approved or not, or what happened to his sister. Daood was an older teenager at the time—probably seventeen or eighteen years old.
He lived with his mother in an apartment over the bar she owned in Philadelphia, called—you can't make this sh*t up—Khyber Pass.
So Daood—though he is nominally an American, and hence cannot be deported—spent most of his formative years with his Muslim father in the "land of the pure".
