Quebec: Muslim national assembly member sole dissenter to motion affirming Quebec's stance against "the menace of terrorism"

Amir Khadir complained that it sounded like Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin. And meanwhile, he sounds like Noam Chomsky or Michael Moore. "Quebec motion inspired by bin Laden's death draws just 1 dissenter," by Kevin Dougherty for Postmedia News, May 10 (thanks to Twostellas):

QUEBEC — Quebec solidaire's lone member was the only member of the province's 125-seat national assembly to vote Tuesday against a resolution inspired by the death of Osama bin Laden, saying the motion smacked of "Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin's" rhetoric.

Amir Khadir was the only dissenter to a motion presented by Action democratique du Quebec leader Gerard Deltell, whose Chauveau riding is near Canadian Forces Base Valcartier.

It affirmed that Quebec "has and will continue to be an ally of the whole international community in security issues and more particularly against the menace of terrorism."

The motion's co-sponsors were Louise Beaudoin, of the Parti Quebecois, and two independents.

Deltell called the death of bin Laden "justice," saying the world's best-known terrorist orchestrated the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on New York's World Trade Center, killing nearly 3,000 people and leading to the United Nations-mandated military operation in Afghanistan, where 27 Quebec soldiers have died.

But Khadir recalled that bin Laden was trained by the Central Intelligence Agency to fight a guerrilla war against the Soviets in Afghanistan, "when Islamic terrorism was acceptable to the military-industrial complex in the United States and largely supported by the monarchist, theocratic, fundamentalist government of Saudi Arabia."

Then, he said, "these religious fundamentalists, who used Islam for terrorist ends, turned against the United States."

In addition to the 9/11 attacks, Khadir noted that bin Laden's al-Qaida has also killed in Africa, Asia and the Arab countries, including in Iraq.

Khadir later explained that his objection was to the "security" aspect of the motion, which he said ignored the causes of terrorism, naming the status of the Palestinian people.

Not the jihad doctrine. Oh, no. Of course not.

He also called the military operation in Afghanistan "a lamentable failure."

Khadir said rather than warfare, Canadian tax dollars would have been better spent rebuilding the Afghan economy.

Khadir said the killing of bin Laden may have been "illegal," but it was not immoral in a context of warfare. He called the death "primary justice," and said he regretted that the "magnificent occasion" of a bin Laden trial had been lost.

I wonder why he thinks it would have been a "magnificent occasion." Bin Laden would have been given a platform to propagandize. Would that have been "magnificent"?

If I recall correctly, Khadir was the local politico involved in boycotting a Montreal shoe store for the "crime" of selling Israeli-made shoes. So his attitude shouldn't surprise.

"..draws just 1 dissenter,"
And that's the best part of it. People in Quebec and all over the world are starting to understand that Islam and terrorism are tied together. Mainstream media is powerless and truth is prevailing.

Don't kid yourself...people can't handle the truth. As with everything, people would prefer to stick their head in the sand until someone kicks them in their raised arse. And does this clown think that the majority of tax dollars have been spent on warfare vs. rebuilding? Seriously, the war was like a week or two, no? The rest of the time and money has been wasted thinking we could build something in that hellhole and that muslims wouldn't just blow it up again. islam is the biggest money pit mankind has ever seen.

What a pile of crap.Settle the palestinian issue and all will be well.Only the idiot left believe this.

More muddled Muslim thinking. No one of sense should be surprised. Acceptance of Islam as the true religion guarantees distorted thinking. Only the degree of such, differing from person to person, functions as a variant.

There's no such phenomenon as a wise Muslim. No matter how much innate intelligence a Muslim may have (and God knows that so many millions upon millions of Muslims are deficient in this regard), if the person thinks Islam the true religion, then distorted thinking will follow. Guaranteed. As here.

"Muslim terorists using Islam" - what nonsense! They're actually APING the creator of Islam, the worst terrorist ever, the Arabic Pedophile rapist, robber, slave-owner (including sexual slaves such as young Jewish captive girls), and mass murderer of the Jews, Mohammed! Wouldn't you just love to have 50 or 60 more of these idiots in the National Assembly? Because that's where it's all headed people. Open those sleepy French Canadian eyes, stop importing them just because some of them speak french.

"Khadir said rather than warfare, Canadian tax dollars would have been better spent rebuilding the Afghan economy." -from the article.

Amir Khadir here shows the classic Islamic supremacist outlook, wherein non-Muslims are not allowed to defend themselves when attacked, but instead should surrender and fork over the jizya payments to the Muslim attackers. (In this case, that would mean not toppling the Taliban in 2001 but instead taking no military action at all, leaving them in power, while taking tax dollars out of Canadians and thus legally forcing them to pay to the Taliban. This also shows that Khadir's complaint about the CIA supporting Al-Qaeda is not genuine but is mere rhetorical sniping--anything to attack the U.S.--, because obviously Khadir himself is willing to support the Taliban economically, and the Taliban in turn support al-Qaeda. Hence, the fact that an entity would support Al-Qaeda is not the source of his complaint, since he himself supports it at least morally).

Anyways, this is the precedent set by Islam's "prophet" Muhammad, who, according to the Hadith, lived off of the jizya from the non-Muslims. Amir Khadir is clearly using his power to try to impose classic Islamic sharia rules and policies on non-Muslims.

His Iranian roots are getting more and more obvious with every sentence he's uttering...

Many, many people from the province of Quebec have realized what kind of guy he really is when he stood in front of a shoe store with a bunch of communists and tried to make the customers feel unease to enter a store that dares selling a kind of shoes made in Israel among many other types that are made somewhere else in the world. It did not work, but the guy lost a lot of his lustre. Thank you Khadir for your Islamic coming-out!!!!!

If only Rush or Palin were loud voices against Islam! If only!

Amir Khadir wasn't able to get close enough to former president George W. Bush to throw a shoe at him, so he had to content himself with throwing a shoe at *a picture* of Bush at a demonstration back in 2008.

He also put up bail for Jihadist Adil Charkaoui back in 2005.

He has links to a queasy mix of radical anarchists, communists and Jihadists

He and his wife are also "Truthers" who claim to believe that Israel and the United States conspired to commit the attacks of 9/11—so *of course* he wouldn't support a resolution against the actual perpetrator.

I was going to say I can't believe this guy is an elected member of the Quebec National Assembly—but alas, it is all too believable these days...

Twenty four Canadians were murdered by Muslims on September 11, killed right alongside their American neighbours, friends, hosts and co-workers.

Let's hear their names again, and know that the execution of the outlaw jihadist gang boss, Osama Bin Laden, who planned and decreed and gleefully celebrated their deaths, was indeed just.

One of them, by the way, was a devoutly Christian Copt, an immigrant from Egypt, one Albert Elmarry. He had managed to escape from dhimmitude in Egypt, migrating to Canada and then moving to the USA for work. He had just married a young woman, also a Christian Copt, from his home country; they had bought a house in New York State (since he had a job at the world trade centre) and his wife had just found out that she was pregnant. Albert and Irene fled from Muslim-dominated Egypt to the relative peace and religious freedom of the USA - and the monster that is Jihad reached out and murdered Albert there. His child would have been born months after the death of its father.

Here's an article about them (I hope the link still works)

JIZYA ! ! !

The memorial to the Canadians who were murdered on September 11 is in Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa. (There is another one on Parliament Hill: I haven't been able to find a suitable picture - perhaps one of our Canadian posters can oblige?).

This link (at the moment it works - May 2011) has a picture of the memorial.

The accompanying article is worth reading:

'In America, the death of Osama bin Laden caused a rush of crowds to the White House and Times Square, pandemonium on university campuses and spontaneous chants at baseball parks.

'Here in Canada, the mood was more reflective.

'Erica Basnicki's father Ken was one of 24 Canadians killed on September 11, and she said bin Laden's death makes her think of him.

"I really feel like he's supporting me today," she said from her home in London, England. "Not that this is bad news, but it's tough when 9/11 springs up on you all of a sudden."

'**Basnicki said until she heard the news, bin Laden being alive was still affecting her.** {my emphasis - dda}

"My life has changed dramatically in one sense, because this spectre of Osama Bin Laden is no longer there," she said.'

(I hope the Navy SEAL who fired the execution shot, hears what Erica just said. He has removed a dark shadow from her life. - dda).

'Security analyst Michel Drapeau said that's not the only effect bin Laden's death will have, as Al Qaeda will now be shaken.

"They thought they were unbeatable but now they have to worry whether their communications are being intercepted . . . and whether or not there will be a second strike," he said.

(Or any number of strikes, given that the SEALs captured Osama's little black book...- dda).

'Basnicki said this news will also change her trip to Ground Zero in New York for the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

"That was going to be me getting Osama bin Laden back, just standing there smiling," she said. "He's dead, but I'm still going to stand there and smile because I do have a life past 9/11.'" END ARTICLE

She's alive; he's dead.

I wonder how many other family members of 9/11 victims have, like her, been haunted (or, indeed, infuriated) by the murderer Osama's long evasion of justice...and are now haunted no longer? The Jihad goes on, yes; but this particular jihadist, who killed these particular people, has gotten his just desserts.

"Khadir said rather than warfare, Canadian tax dollars would have been better spent rebuilding the Afghan economy."

You better pay your jizya, dhimmis!

What pretentiousness. Quebec is a supporter of the struggle against Islamic terror because it is part of Canada. It is Canadian government policy that matters. Foreign affairs is the domain of the Government of Canada, not any individual Canadian province such as Quebec. This was a meaningless vote.

Amir Khadir says: "causes of terrorism", is "the status of the Palestinian people." Guess that's why the Arab world needs so called Palestinian refugees, forever as an excuse.

Thanks for the info re Khadir. What bothers me is that Muslims like Khadir who hold public office while aiding and abetting the stealth jihad, are seen as "moderate" Muslims who we should welcome into our country.
