The next question in any of these cases is always the matter of inside help or negligence. "Al-Qaeda militants escape Yemen prison," from the Telegraph, June 22:
In a carefully choreographed escape, the militants attacked their guards and seized their weapons just as bands of heavily armed attackers descended on the prison in Mukalla on the Arabian Sea.
The 62 escapees included militants convicted on terror charges or held in protective custody pending trial, according to officials. Two were reportedly rearrested.
The jail is believed to house more than 100 al-Qaeda militants.
The last major jail breakout by al-Qaeda militants in Yemen took place in 2006, when 23 escaped a Sana'a detention facility including Qassim al-Raimi, who has become the dominant figure in al-Qaeda's most active franchise.
The branch has been linked to several nearly successful attacks on US targets, including the plot to bomb a Detroit-bound airliner in December 2009. The group also put sophisticated bombs into US-addressed parcels that made it onto cargo flights....
They could make a film out of this one. The Great Kabob, they could call it, or maybe The Sashlick Redemption.
Well, since they "seized" the guards weapons and did not kill them...I smell inside job...
"Overpowered" the guards, who all just happened to be fellow muslims. Pull the other one, it has got bells on.
Jim, how about "Halal Chicken Run"?
. .joking apart, don't be surprised if you find yourself face-to-face with any number of these 'escapees' when you next pick up some fast food after a night-on-the-town. Think about it.
Halal chicken run! Nice one lilredbird.
It's a damned shame Western gubmints and news entertainers demand that these shams be play acted out for public consumption.

Somebody could get hurt in one of these made-for-media exercises, plus all the production expenses only gets slapped on top of the normal foreign aid we already give these people to be able to put food on the table.
NObama and his minions to grant instant American citizenship to these escaped jihadis in ...3...2...2...
"Pull the other one, it has got bells on."
ROFLMAO! :D Thanks for the laugh, Lilredbird!
Its orchestrated by the government to gain new fighters in the bogus AQAP uprising designed and funded by the President's son Ahmed (also head of the US funded CT units)and/or as a quid pro quo to the jihaddist mercenaries.

The next question in any of these cases is always the matter of inside help or negligence.
The answer is in Qur'an 3:28:
Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah. (Emphasis added.)
If that verse isn't clear enough, see Ibn Kathir's exegis on it: “... meaning, except those believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers. In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda said, ‘We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.’ ”
Thus, they will smile in the faces of our diplomats, spooks, etc.: "Gracious me! How could such a thing have happened? We must need more pecuniary aid from you people!" and in their hearts they will gloat: "Sixty-two more human bombs for the jihad against these kuffar simpletons! Allahu akbar!"
