Of course, the headline circling the globe at this point is "Israel fires on protesters," plus a casualty estimate. As with the protests, rampages, and murders that followed the Muhammad cartoons, Pope Rage, and the Qur'an burning in Florida, the protesters are treated as though they have no free will, and Israel might as well have fired on a herd of peaceful gazelles galavanting through the Golan Heights.
This is another invasion, incited in part online, but also egged on by figures including the Palestinian Authority presidential adviser who called those who engage in these activities the "new Palestinian nuclear weapon." Syria's state news agency on Sunday reported that 18 people were killed and 277 injured along the Syria-Israel border in the Golan Heights near Majdal Shams, reportedly from IDF fire. The IDF spokesperson said that the only information it had on deaths on the border were Syrian reports and therefore, it could not confirm the number of people killed or if there were any deaths.
After several hours of clashes, IDF began allowing Red Cross teams access to the Syrian border area in order to evacuate wounded protesters, Channel 10 reported.
Two armed men were identified near the border fence in Kunetra, on the Syrian side of the border, the IDF Spokesman told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday afternoon.
There was no further official information about the identity of the gunmen, or their proximity to the border but a security official suggested that the men could be Syrian police or army forces
Prior to spotting the armed men, according to the IDF spokesperson, around 150 people managed to cross to the Syrian side of the fence, entering a mined zone between the two fences in the Majdal Shams area.
"We issued warnings for them to stop advancing. When they continued, we fired warning shots in the air," an IDF spokeswoman told The Jerusalem Post.
When the demonstrators continued toward the Israeli fence, they said, shots were fired at their lower bodies. "We know of 12 injuries," she added.
A second demonstration was observed on the Syrian border in Kunetra, where 200 to 300 demonstrators amassed. Four land mines exploded in the area after Syrian rioters threw Molotov cocktails at IDF forces. The cocktails exploded in a field, starting a fire which then set off the mines on the Syrian side of the border. The IDF was unaware of the number of casualties caused by the explosions. Channel 2 reported that the IDF arrested three Syrian infiltrators attempting to cross the border into Israel at Kunetra.
IDF forces were sending Arabic-language messages through loudspeakers over the border, warning that anyone approaching the fence would be killed.
Syrian television also reported that demonstrators were attempting to breach the fence at several other points in the Golan Heights, Channel 2 reported....
Sounds to me like the Arabs want to get their collective asses kicked again.
No mention of whether the invaders were issued keys to janna before they began their assault, or were holding Qur'ans aloft as they marched into the mine field.
If any marchers got through, this indicates that Israel underestimated the density of mines that would be needed to prevent penetration. Presumably they are reassessing the situation and will make necessary adjustments.
It's really unfortunate, I bet those land mines will cost several hundred dollars each to replace.

The Palestinians wore out their welcome in Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait and likely are extremely personna non grata in Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, and any other country.
They have been enabled and manipulated by the Arab countries wishing to have a political weapon to use against Israel.
Israel is likely to have difficulty sending any Palestinian back who makes it across the border. They are not citizens of any country, due to their willingness to fester in refugee camps and bite at whatever country is hosting them at the time. That means that Israel will have the responsibility of maintaining any Palestinian who makes it through the border.
On top of that, the refugees represent a dire threat to Israel's existence, and everyone knows it. Their objective is not to achieve justice, but to dissolve the state of Israel as it is today.
Unfortunately, the only viable course for Israel is to shoot anybody trying to cross its borders, and make sure they don't make it across, either wounded or healthy.
I'm pretty convinced the European countries are intervening in Libya primarily to avoid the choice of either accepting Muslim refugees from Libya, or else doing what it takes to protect their borders. As usual, Israel stands in the forefront of the choices that Western civilization must make to preserve itself.

These brutal rushes of blood, literally, have been documented within Communist regimes most ably by the likes of Robert Conquest and Paul Hollander, and they have pointed out that the more the blood flows the more the Western-based friends of these regimes become ecstatic.

You are exactly right that they are used as political weapon, but you're wrong on the following:

Israel has no problem whatsoever to send individuals back to where they crossed the border from. But we can't allow them to cross the border en masse which is what they're trying to do, or we'll lose control on our country.
This situation is not comparable to the Libyan refugees crisis since those invaders don't cross the border fleeing a war zone, but out of a clear hostile intent. It's like if, say, German civilians were trying to enter Britain en masse during WW2 with a declared intention to destroy it. These people openly declare they want Israel destroyed and that's what they do it for. They want to corner us into an impossible position: If we don't prevent them from entering, Muslims will march into Israel by the millions and simply wipe us out by sheer numbers - there are hundreds of millions of Arabs, and 1.5 billion Muslims. Imagine if a million of them were to simply march into Israel, which is what these people wish to organize. This is just the beginning; If we do what we have to in order to stop them then the West will kill us. They figured out the Western Achilles' heel and use it against us as well as against the West. So either we let them kill us, or we do what it takes to stop them which will make the West kill us. I wish at least the US had a different president. In the end the West will not just aid the jihad against us, but will also be its own - the West's - victim.
There are also refugees and other illegal immigrants constantly crossing the border into Israel. But we can't even tell if they are refugess. Many of them are Arabic speaking Muslims which is too much of a risk. Israel has naturalized some (I suppose mostly Christians or Darfurians), others stay here temporarily, others were arrested, and some were deported, but none of them were shot.

I am coming more and more to the conclusion that we must focus on our youth. They are so very open to learning positive rational thinking, and, once equipped, will not be susceptible to leftist utopian brainwashing. I have been privileged to have many discussions with youth about such things and can see results.
In my sparring with leftist "friends" and many many internet discussions, I come to the conclusion that, once a person is entrenched in deep hard leftism, it is impossible to help them to pull their heads out of the rabbit hole. They are beyond hope.
My only consolation is that humans only live a finite number of years. Eventually those beyond hope fall silent, leaving room for fresh and rational minds.
That's why we must take back the education system and media in our respective countries. And I don't suggets we should drive the leftists out, but that they must not be the only voice. There should be competeing ideas rather than indoctrination. I believe most people will reject most of the neo-Marxist drivel if they'll hear also serious criticism of it and competing ideas in equal amounts. They've eroded free speech bit by bit with their PC and with demonizing the right. Free speech and open discussion must be restored. If we won't fix the education system we're gonna have generations of uncritical zombies that will realize what they let their country turn into only when it's too late to save it.

If these parasites get into Israel and settle down there, then Israel is in serious trouble. We only need look at Lebanon 40 years ago. So-called Palestinians flocked into that country and started the intifada in 1975. This will be the fate of Israel by 2015 - 2020 if they're not stopped. That concrete fence must be completed to prevent the demographic takeover of Israel and the butchering of its Jewish citizens, as happened to Lebanon's Christians. In the 1970s Lebanon was still majority Christian, now it is less than 30% Christian. History can indeed repeat itself, and if this happens, the West, with its duplicity, antisemitism and bleeding heart political correctness will have just the same amouint of blood on its hands as what these savages will have.

You are right. This was explicitly stated by France. It burns me(though I'm not Jewish or an Israeli) that other countries seem so reluctant to grant the same right to Israel to protect her borders.
