Re: Scheduled hearings on “Radicalization” of Muslims in America
Dear Congressman King,
On June 20th, 2010 a letter was written to Congress concerning the widely unpopular idea of constructing a mosque in the shadow of the Ground Zero site in New York (a plan that thoughtful Muslims have also rejected). Contained in that letter were quotes from several Islamic religious leaders (Imams) in America:

Further review of these statements show that they do not veer far at all from the following comments made by Islamic religious figures overseas or from remarks made by other prominent Muslims operating in the United States:

While this issue is addressed, the dangerous and witless practice of political correctness should be switched off. Unconditionally, the American people have a right to know when any type of threat to their way of life presents itself so that they can prepare to defend it.
Is it a “tiny minority” of “radicals” who have “perverted a great world religion” that all of these leaders in the Islamic communities here and abroad represent, or are they representative of Islamic fundamentalists who are simply adhering to their ideology as it has been prescribed?
As a free society we are a tolerant people. Like everything else, tolerance has its limits, so should rigid, racist, sexist supremacist ideologues with a history of committing violent acts against innocent human beings when they don’t get their way qualify?
If the United States Congress genuinely seeks unfiltered information regarding the issue at hand, it would greatly benefit itself and the nation by shunning the overbearing nonsense dispensed by organizations like the Council on American Islamic Relations, and trading in the crocodile tears shed by the Congressman from Minnesota for the testimony of the individuals listed below, who are capable of answering any lingering questions regarding Islamic scripture, Shari’ah law, and documented historical facts:

Still, I object to using the term "fundamentalist" for any save those Christians who own the term as describing themselves.
1- Congress must outlaw Islamic Shari'ah law in America
2- Outlaw all Islamic terrorist organizations in the US. Including but not limited to Hamas, Hezbollah, The PLO, Al Qaida, The Muslim Brotherhood and their front organizations.
3- Thoroughly screen all levels of Government employment to Muslims, that have any ties to radical groups, Mosques, and Imams seeking to subvert our Consitution and the Republic that it stands for.
4-Muslim military personell will not be assigned to serve as combatants in the muslim arena, with the exception adjunct services such as interpretors, medics and the like.
5-Seise all banks, Insurance firms, and other financial institutions who directly or indirectly support Jihadist groups.
6- Seise assets in the US, from foreign contries who support or who have supported Jihadist groups.
7-Monitor Mosques and close all those who preach killing of non muslims.
8-Deport all known foreign Jihadists and prosecute all those who are US citizens, in a military court.
9- Profile all Muslim airline passengers who, in advance, must prove the legitamacy of their travel.
10- Repeal the existing liberal immigration laws and close our borders.
With "moderate" Muslim imams like these in the US capital who needs al Qaeda and other radical Muslims????

That's from the motto of the Muslim Brotherhood (also of Hamas, but they clearly declare in their charter that they are a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood).

To me THIS is the big question. And with all the evidence or clues isn't it only logical to conclude that
A. This is on the whole really what Islam teaches.
Or B. Islam's holy texts are ridiculously often misunderstood or misused. When there are supposed to be so many crazy, criminal people quoting it like in this letter, then these texts themselves are at fault, making adherents very confused.
While it can be understood why so many "extremist, radical" Muslims came to their conclusions. And so many Islam-critics too. And then to think that the Quran is supposed to come from Allah directly and that not one iota may be changed! Which other laws are valid and unchangeable for more than 1100 years, at least?
I hope we citizens, media and politicians evolve and that the time comes when each and every Muslim in a Democratic Nation must answer if he/she supports these quotes and these leaders in this letter or their contradicting laws and principles in our societies. Condemning something is not enough, choosing one set of principles over the other with great clarity is what we need from the Muslims.
And then every Muslim in Democratic Nations has to face the consequences of his/ her answer, or silence, or lies, when discovered later, when checked.
