Clerics seek harsher laws for gays
A section of Muslim clerics on Monday called on the government to allow them apply Shariah laws to deal with rising cases of homosexuality.
If allowed, Shariah laws would enable the clerics to punish offenders as stipulated by the Quran, said Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya organising secretary Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa.

You posed a sound rhetorical question, miriam rove, one which so many of us here at JW can appreciate. And now, if only the larger audience which is the bulk of the West can come to an appreciation of a query like yours, then we'll be well on the way to first containing and then virtually eliminating the Islamic influence in free nations, such nations being free in part because Islam never had a beachhead in them over the centuries.
Where Islam spreads, to the extent that is does, liberty retreats. It is an inverse proportionality relationship. This is part of the shameful legacy of Islam. Between true freedom and the Islamic faith there can never, will never, be a reconciliation. Everyone who cherishes liberty needs to understand this truth to the very core of their being.

Another new word you might like, is 'madhattery'. It was coined by Martha Gellhorn (I think) and used several times in her classic article "The Arabs of Palestine", to describe the nonsense and lies and conspiracy theories and such, that the Palestinian Arab so-called 'refugees' were wont to ply her with.
