A double exploitation of innocence. The brutal exploitation of the little girl herself, and the exploitation of anyone with even basically decent humanity who would likely fail to see a little girl in her school uniform as a threat of violent Jihad.

Police in Pakistan are a pretty hardened bunch—frequently brutal or corrupt themselves. But even they would likely see a little schoolgirl approaching their checkpoint and think "lost child", not "potential suicide bomber".

What happens if this becomes more common? Dead children, dead suicide bombing victims—and likely lost children shot by police and soldiers who fear they are being used as suicide bombers.

This is a little bit off topic, but I've thought about this for a while now. Every time I get on this site I read about more vile, appalling behavior and atrocities committed by muslims and in the name of islam. Now I wonder, what answers do the people at CAIR have for these stories, and what do the muslim apologists have to say? Do these stories need to be emailed to CAIR daily for them to maybe get some small sense if humility? Recruiting children to mass murder? Such a vile, sick ideology.

The power of religion is that it makes the immoral moral and the illegal legal. These ignorant thugs feel they are ok to do this because they believe god has given them permission. It's such a shame on our human race, this religion.

Now, you Christians and Jews must admit that the Old Testament is also filled with passages in which god orders the murderer of innocents and even argues that the raped woman should marry her rapist (Deuternonmy 22:28-29).

The world must rid of religion if we are to free ourselves from the grip of it's wickedness - and we should probably start with the middle eastern desert god worshipping cults of Islam, Chritianity, and Judaism.

There is no honor in wishing for there to be an all powerful dictator that can never die that we must be slaves/children of.

I call it "the religion of death".

There was, of course, no necessity that the kiddie-bomb should be a *Muslim* child.

They could just as easily have seized a Christian or Hindu kid, on her way to school, or on her way home.

And then, there's the other awful possibility: what if some poor kid's schoolbag/ backpack were got hold of, and 'loaded', without the owner even knowing that this has been done?

Here is where I am very unsanctified. Death by a thousand cuts or being scalded with hot grease is too good for these guys who'd make suicide bombers of children.

Oh, whenever there's a snide reference to the Spanish Inquisition I first have to ask: "which one, the Islamic one in the 12th Century that wrought havoc among Jews converted to Islam, or that other later and more familiar one?"

The jihadists in this case don't seem too confident about paradise themselves, so they try to put an innocent child up to do the killing. Good to see that these bastards failed and that the girl escaped.

Re "suicide jacket": In this case, strapped to the girl, it would have been a homicide jacket in the full sense, no "suicide" about it. (In general, I think the term "homicide bomber" is more appropriate. It's the victims that matter. Besides, the jihadists who blow themselves for the purpose of killing others don't view themselves as committing suicide anyway; they view themselves as shahids, often translated, misleadingly, as martyrs. Misleading, because martyr has a different meaning in the West and in Christianity than it does in Islam. "Suicide bomber" strikes me as implying sympathy with the bomber and not those slain).

I was drawn into an argument at work by an islam apologetic the other day when talking about the news story about the search of virginity of female protestors by army soldiers though I forget the specifics of the time or place. I was commenting on how these islamists were actually being victimized by their own dogma in that the soldiers thought they might be later accused of rape of the protestor women if they didn't do this search and confirm virginity of the women. I stated that fundamentalist islam promoted this because of their outrageousness beliefs about virgins only being fit for marriage. I also commented that as a health care worker I knew of many instances in the news where women who were still virgins had lost their hymens by other than sexual means but that this wasn't apparently a good enough excuse for the soldiers not to go through with such a search. Anyway, my fellow nurse turned my comment around as if to mean I was against all muslims in general and that I was wrong to feel such a dreadful thing. I was at once dumbfounded by her reaction. Apparently she has muslim friends which is fine but I didn't mean to criticize muslims but in fact islamic supremacists. My coworker then said that christians under hitler were silent like many muslims today about fundamentalism going along with her defense of muslims which came out of the blue. It made me think she must share some sort of guilt that perhaps some of the silent muslims feel about not speaking up about their radical breathren. The only thing I would say about that however is that in nazi germany the christian germans who spoke up too much about the treatment of jews really did face a gun whereas I do not feel that the moderate muslims face a gun so to speak in america today though I know some of them are more favoring of a radical view of islam than they admit and maybe either go along with that or really do face threats. I often see the so called moderate muslims in the community where i live and I often try to smile or make eye contact with them to little avail. When I do make eye contact its usually a sour look of distain or condemnation it seems. I feel that is a poor way for them to be part of a community especially in light of their talk of peace and tolerance but I am less and less surprised at their acts of victimization as time goes by. I cringe at the thought of one day having to work for one of these types. As for the use of young children as suicide bombers my continued experience with the moderate muslims around me makes me feel that they are not far from the same thing based on my experiences and the news stories of the crazies who though moderate went rogue and killed more of us so called infidels. I feel more an more that their religious views even in the moderate cases are much closer to fundamentalism than I previously believed related to their immersion in daily prayers five times a day and all their other practices. This type of thinking and belief can easily be diverted into what they believe are acts for god but are in fact criminal and furthermore the making of their god and religion supreme over any others is blatantly at odds with the civilized world.

It's really the fault of US troops. Because of the the war in Afghanistan Islam is running out of virgins for all the martyrs in heaven. So, naturally Islam must recruit more virgins.

Is this surprising to anyone. There is no value on life in Islam, certainly not children and expecially females. Remember that Iran used children to clear out mine fields for their "brave" jihadis when they were at war with Iraq. And the Palestinians have used child suicide bombers against the Israelis, even mentally handicapped children.

I write as a Christian standing around minding my own business when sudddenly someone (again) has dragged me into a muzzie debate and insulted my faith.

The problem in comparing Christians to muslims is that it causes some people to lower their opinion of Christians, who do not deserve to be compared to the koranimals. In a world where Christians are alredy being persecuted severely, it can only lead to more violence toward us.

What if we all went around comparing athesists to muslims? Insulting and unfair, not to mention confusing to the misinformed, isn't it? Rather than confusing the issue, can you leave us out of this? After all, the problem in the world today is not religion in general, but islam in particular...which is why this page is entitled "Jihad Watch."

To Jan: Thanks for the information concerning some of the german support of jewish during ww2 and support in general on the subject of liberal understanding versus the more sober reality I've had concerning many moderate muslims. It always seems that in these situations I'm taken off guard in responses though I know a lot of information I find that the other side is not usually willing to discuss things without a heated debate and I must admit I need more practice in dealing with that sort of discussion. I backed out of it with this nurse stating that we were just going to disagree with each other and I really had work to do but I know she saw that as a victory. I do feel sorry for her though as I feel she may have had some problems with her own past and discrimination related to being asian american and was taking up this cause because of it or maybe it was that I was down on the soldiers for being bad islamists for their virginity search and she thought I meant that all muslims were like these soldiers. I'm still not sure but if more moderates don't speak up against this sort of thing then one wonders where their sympathies really lie and even if they are afraid then how much more will they be afraid should sharia and its dark ages doctrine become more implanted in american society! Maybe I'm wrong though and maybe most moderates will like that!
