“You will continue to be troubled by his famous vow: You shall not dream of security until we enjoy it and until you depart the Muslims’ lands,” added the Egyptian militant, who was in white garb and a turban with a machinegun behind him.
He vowed to make sacrifices needed to “deprive America of security.” In an audio message on May 22, Zawahiri backed the wave of Arab revolts and called for sharia Islamic law to be applied in Egypt....

Islamic world is beyond words strange in a strange sense. Lets see-
OSma Bin Laden lived in a fortified building and could not access his contacts directly for over five years.He was terrified of drone attacks - hence the Pakies sheltered him in a done-attack-free city. It's likely there are more big-ticket terrorists hidden in the same city. Before that he was terrified and hiding into one rat hole from another. All the Talibans/Al-quada members are terrified of drones.
OTOH - we are free to travel anywhere, we enjoy the beach parties- that is a sure sign of terrified of Osama or Al-quaida.
Moslums are the only ones terrified of Osma- ask any of them.

It appears Al Arabiya is conflating this Zawahiri video with an earlier one. The National Post has a link to the video in question http://sitemultimedia.org/video/SITE_AS_Zawahiri_UBL_Eulogy.wmv . The first part of the clip is of bin Laden speaking, followed by some scrolling caterwauling, and Dr. Z's eulogy runs from 1:57 to the end of the clip at 28:41.
Adam Gadahn does not appear in this clip, contrary to the above quotes from Al Arabiya. If memory serves, the statements by Gadahn were, in fact, made several weeks ago.
In any case, Zawahiri appears to be quite healthy. His eyes are clear, his voice strong, his diction clipped, his wagging finger untiring, his zabiba intact. He looks directly into the camera and speaks without hesitation and fillers such as "uh" and "umm." Although there were several obvious edit points in the clip, the ease with which he delivers his spiel suggests he might have added a teleprompter to the list of kafir inventions he has embraced.
I wish the West had as compelling a speaker able to resonate with Western audiences as authentically and convincingly as this man does with Muslim audiences. Benjamin Netanyahu comes close, I think. Most of the other leaders come across as calculating or convictionless wooden dummies in comparison.
Perhaps MEMRI will produce a subtitled version of this clip in English.
Zawahiri is only saying what all Muslims all over the world, including those in the West, want!!! Let this be a warning to the clueless infidels. The Muslim Trojan horse is already here. Eastview, what about brave and articulate Geert Wilders? He is far more eloquent in English than almost any native speaker.

Of course, you realize I was not endorsing Zawahiri, but rather commenting on the manner in which he evinces conviction and authenticity when he speaks - style, not substance.
There are few really good orators, or those who can convincingly speak to the heart. Sad to say, most of the ones who are able to rouse the passions of an audience today are on the wrong side. Speakers who are ethereal or too abstract, like some of those in our political establishment, leave an audience cold. Listening to them is like eating Chinese food - after an hour one is hungry again.
The emotional nourishment one receives from the talking intellectuals cannot begin to compare to that delivered with passion and conviction and a thorough understanding of all the subconscious cultural levers and buttons of his audience. Zawahiri would appear to be such a man operating within the domain of Islam. He doesn't appeal to us, but he knows his intended audience of Muslims and their cultural biases, and plays them like a master violinist. The West needs someone who can defend us as ably as Zawahiri defends Islam.
