Coptic witnesses said that shortly after the altercation thousands of Muslims from the predominantly Muslim east side of Kolosna roamed the western side of Kolosna, which is about 75% Coptic, and started looting and torching Christian property. Christians hid in their homes for fear of attacks by the Muslim mob.
Several calls were made to CTV, Coptic TV Channel, asking for help and besieged resident reported on live television the horror of the mob attacks, saying Muslims surrounded Christian homes and chanted "Allahu Akbar" and shouted "Get their weapons."
"They were cursing the cross and taunting us that we will stay inside and never be allowed in the streets again," said one caller to the television program.
Copts reported that Muslims were armed with swords, batons and guns and they shot into the air.
"There were 3 army and 2 central security vehicles, in addition to one local police car, which was not enough to contain the attack," said an eyewitness, adding "not that they wanted to contain it."
Reports indicate 6 Coptic homes, including the home of the harassment victim ere [sic] looted or torched, as well as 3 supermarkets, an auto parts store, a foundry, a timber shop and a clothing store.
Father Estephanos, a priest from nearby Samalut, said in an interview with the US-based Way-TV that the Copts contacted the diocese in Samalut asking for help. "The army commander, the army and the military police were contacted, but arrived three hours later and did not take action while properties were looted and torched. They let everything to happen."
Father Estephanos said that while the army was in the village, beside torching and trying to break into Christian homes, the Muslims were on the main road of Kolosna, searching cars. "If the cars belonged to Christians, its passengers were beaten, insulted and windshields were smashed. If the car belonged to Muslims, it passed safely. All this happened while the army stood there watching." He said that Muslims threw Molotov cocktails to burn Christian property.

Speaking as an old consular officer who handled immigration visa cases, much Middle Eastern immigration to the USA is Christian. People of Syrian and Lebanese Christian origin have had a long presence in the US, and continue to immigrate because of various relationships to US citizens (spouses, children, parents, and siblings) or permanent residents (spouses, children, unmarried adult sons or daughters). Others come as skills-based immigrants and refugees, and I'm sure some have been granted asylum.
As a matter of fact, most Arab-Americans are Christian rather than Muslim, with Maronite Catholics and Syrian Orthodox being major groups within that population. Didn't our esteemed blog host write somewhere that he is a Melkite Roman Catholic? Most people of that persuasion in the USA descend from Christian Arab immigrants--although there may be some who prefer to describe themselves as Aramaean rather than Arab when talking about ethnicity.
The USA also has a fair population of Mizrahi Jews, Armenians, Assyrians, etc., from the Arab world. Also, it cannot be guaranteed that Muslim Arab, Iranian, Pakistani, Turkish, and other immigrants who arrive here as Muslims remain that way. The number of Christian churches serving Iranian-Americans in various urban areas has grown, and it's said that Iranian-American Christians from Muslim backgrounds are starting to crowd those of ethnic Armenian or Assyrian background. They are not the only ex-Muslims to show up in Christian churches, either.

This is typical behavior by Muslim authorities. They confiscate any weapon the Copts own and severely punish them if they dared to defend themselves. The police works to actively protect the mob. For example, during one incident in the 70s so far as to kill a Coptic night guard who used his duty shotgun to hold off the mob who would go on to commit a large massacre during which Coptic children were burnt alive and thrown out of balconies by the rampaging Mohammedans in the Zawia Hamera district of Cairo. The Police watched everything and held off emergency services from putting the flames down or treating the injured. Due to Muslims throwing the bodies and some of the living down a giant hole dug for the foundation of a building under construction and setting them ablaze, the total number of the dead could not be exactly determined as the government hushed up the investigation, but it is estimated to approach 150 by the local church with large number of injuries and huge destruction and looting of property. The Egyptian authorities like Ottoman troops during the Pontiac, Assyrian and Armenian genocides are the backup for the bloodthirsty Muslim mobs, and when needed are active participants.
For some time, but this has intensified lately, scores of Coptic girls and women are being S*xually harassed, kidnapped and raped, and then held as broken down hijabed S*x slaves. If it was not for economic reasons and the basic necessities of life, no sane Christian woman would set foot in the streets.
Every time a Copt stands up for himself or tries to protect others they run against the Muslim communal wrath. You see, dirty nejis kafirs are not allowed to defend themselves. Sadly, I have experienced that for myself. For the couple of times I had to protect myself against a Muslim bully twice my size, four or five Muslims (not even his friends) would immediately come to his aid when I seem to be getting the better of him by going ape and hitting where it truly hurts. During a spate with a spiteful Muslim that quickly escalated, seeing the hopelessness of my situation, I ripped off a wood board from a crumbling classroom bench and proceeded to frantically swing the heavy piece of wood against my attackers. They were soon joined by others who came to their aid even without an invite. They started throwing whatever they can get a hold off and even picked up a multi-student desk to use as a battering ram against me. None of the handful of Coptic kids in class came to my aid and I do not blame them. My frantic hitting, which must have took a couple out of action, delayed me having my brains bashed in long enough for a Muslim teacher to intervene and he was joined by a couple more burly teachers who broke it up. The teacher did not know what the matter was or if I was a christian. The principle seeing that I had no visible injury while a couple of Muslim students were bloodied called me a thug. The irony of his accusation was at one hand take the baby faced, church raised child who was the youngest and smallest kid and on the other hand a bunch of mean looking Muslim kids who were even bigger than some of the teachers, and yet, I was judged the thug and severely punished. The next day the ring leader's mom who was a hijabed witch came to venomously complain (in the manner of other female Muslim hounds) that her poor Medo (nick name for Muhammad) was badly beaten that he received stitches. The teacher that was lecturing when she showed up refused to hear that I was defending myself and that the principle had handled the matter the day before ( by beating me so hard with a stick that I could not hold a pen the next day) and proceeded to strike my already throbbing hands with rubber wrapped stick while the witch watched, gloating at my agony. Sadly, this crap happens even in Catholic schools with the cowardly Christian clerical administrators allowing the Muslim faculty and students to run roughshod over Christian students and sometime teachers. Then again, Muslim thuggery is taking place in Europe and the Dhimmi teachers, policemen and government officials are aiding and abetting it.
Although I have experienced Islamic injustice and seen that matted out against my relatives and friends to various degrees, I count myself fortunate, not the least of which because I have escaped from the household of bondage to the land of the free. Most Copts save a very small and very fortunate minority live exactly like some lower caste of Dhimmis which are subject to Muslim harassment, random or targeted violence, injustice and cruelty.
My few rich relatives live in a bubble inside gated communities with Western neighbors. Their Muslim staff shields them from the unpleasantness of the Egyptian street. Many of my poor and middle class female relatives never leave the home except for emergencies. Some have stopped going to school or work for fear of being kidnapped by Muslim men or being beaten or humiliated by Muslim women vigilante groups that are apparently active in the Cairo underground.
Where are the human rights groups that cheered the fall of Mubarak or the woman right groups to speak about the plight of Coptic women and girls snatched everyday from the streets to suffer the worst type of violation imaginable?
My ancestral village which is not very far from the village mentioned in the report has experienced several attacks over the years. During every single incident the police would go in force to Christian homes and demand that they confiscate all their legally owned weapons, threatening to arrest the entire family including the women. This is repeated all over. The Copts in Cairo and the other big cities have no weapons and no means to protect themselves when they come for them.
The situation in Egypt will get more tragic until an Ottoman-style purge is secretly ordered by the Islamists in government with the clerics calling the masses to rise up to save Islam and avenge it against the evil Crusaders and Polytheists. Untold numbers will parish, christian women and children will be mass raped and led into a life of abject S*x slavery.
Knowing how the world works, I am certain that the US and Europe will never lift a finger. If anything, they will open up for more Muslim refugees from the "inter-communal" violence (never the one-sided genocide much like how the Assyrians of Iraq are treated by the West) so that one day the same trash that killed and raped my people could be my neighbor or even my boss.
I am so heart broken and outraged by the deafness and blindness of Western peoples that I cannot help being more angry at them than the Muslims.

They cannot leave! Their asylum cases get routinely rejected. Muslims working in the embassies control the visa application process and they work to ensure that Muslims, most especially the fanatics, get the lion share of visas. I have had many Coptic friends refused tourist visas and had their asylum cases thrown out. 99% of Copts in Egypt would leave if they can. It is no doubt the case with Christians in most Islamic dominated lands.
I have wondered about divine intervention for years until a study of both science and the history of religion convinced me that all religions are tall tales, some are obviously way worst than others.

When I read stories like this I thank God we have the 2nd Amendment.
I'm glad I don't live in the Middle East, or Pakistan, or Iran, or any other misbegotten land where islam is the norm.
However, the natural allies of the Jihad, the Marxists and Orwellian statists have watered down the 2nd amendment so much so that in many locales one cannot legally own a gun without filing expensive lawsuits against the local authorities. Remember nearly all massacres in modern times were preceded by the confiscation of guns. The prospect of facing well armed citizenry fighting for their lives and freedoms is nightmare for any totalitarian.
The Muslim superiority in warfare against medieval Christan Europe stemmed from teaching in the Quran, the Sunna and Caliph Omar extolling Muslim fathers to teach their sons swimming, archery and horsemanship. This allowed the Muslims to quickly raise large well trained and well armed armies to augment professional soldiers in raiding and pillaging the defenseless European peasantry who lacked any martial training or weapons. It was the introduction of peasant pike formations and artillery that helped tip the balance.

It was sad to read of the heart wrenching account of how Copts continue to live, no barely survive, in Mohammedan Egypt. Your stories could be the story of countless millions trapped inside the wrong side of international borders. My heart genuinely weeps for the Copts of Egypt, Assyrians of Iraq, as it does for the Jews of Iran and Turkey, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Indonesia.

In the Hindu scripture of Bhagavad Gita, the divine incarnation Krishna tells Arjuna that when evil seems to be invincible and all hope seems to be lost for the good, when righteousness is on its last throes and the forces of darkness overrun the land, when the Earth cries out in agony, God descends in human form to guide and protect the weak and the persecuted, eliminate evil, and restore order (Dharma) on earth.
But I suspect God will never descend from the heavens and that such tales are merely philosophical ponderings that hold no practical value in our battle against ruthless Izlam. It is up to us Kuffars to protect ourselves and not look for divine intervention. In the story Krishna tells Arjuna that even the Gods favor those who do their Dharma (duty). lol.
So even if we do not believe in divine intervention in our struggle against Izlam, it would bode well for us to not give up the fight. We can still do our bit to create awareness about the evils of Izlam.
