The most significant part of this interview is Spencer's prediction that Obama will impose or call for the censorship of any anti-jihad, anti-Islam website or publication. We have Anders Behring Breivik to thank for helping to make that a distinct possibility. His criminal actions simply racheted up the likelihood.

I am not familiar with Mr. Coren, but clearly he's one of the good guys who 'gets it'!

I especially appreciate that he touched upon the fact that this horrible tragedy will now be used to silence those who speak out against jihad. (Among others.) The second I learned of the attacks, I knew those concerned about this issue and who speak out against it would be blamed. (As would Christians, when this man was falsely labeled as a Christian.) I knew immediately that the next step would be to silence us. We cannot let this happen.

Thank you also, Robert, for always having such a warm attitude and good sense of humor. I can't even imagine how difficult and stressful all of this has been, and yet you are able to smile and be gracious. How anyone could claim that you are violent, teach violence or condone violence in any way is beyond me.

We love you, we stand behind you, and we are thankful for you and everyone at JW, as well as elsewhere, who continues to stand boldly for freedom, no matter the cost.

Michael Coren is a Christian covert from Judaism, who has been published several times. His books are generally, intellectual biographies.

The two quotes Michael Coren cited and presented are not from Breivik himself commenting on or quoting Robert Spencer. The quotes are from Fjordman articles. Breivik has pasted into his "compendium" (note well, that word compendium) numerous whole articles by various authors, including many by Fjordman.

This is appears in the Fjordman article, which is properly labeled as "by Fjordman," called "Nobel Peace Prize Awarded for Appeasement of Jihad… again," When Fjordman refers to Robert as an "excellent choice," he means for the Nobel Peace Prize. Fjordman also mentions Hirsi Ali and Bat Ye'or among other possible candidates.

Again, this is in an article by Fjordman, titled "Why We Cannot Rely on Moderate Muslims".

I haven't seen any instances in the 1500-page document where Breivik himself quotes Robert, though he does paste in two large pieces where Robert is quoted (along with other authors) in those sources, and one article written by Robert. I think this is an important distinction. Fjordman has obviously read and followed Spencer's work for several years and has a firm conceptual grasp of it. (And, even so, Fjordman arrived at some views that differed from Robert's in important respects). I question whether Breivik had actually processed Robert's work in any significant depth.

Breivik writes superficially about preserving the great freedoms of western civilization, while in the same document he is talking about basically committing treason through massively violent overthrow of European governments, killing children, cooperating with Al Qaeda and the Iranian regime to obtain WMDs with which to kill millions of Westerners, forcing people to convert to Christianity (i.e., Breivik's nationalistic version of this which apparently includes Norse religions), killing people for expressing the wrong kind of ideas, and so on. Obviously, all of this is anethema to everything Spencer has advocated. That is besides the remarkable incoherence of Breivik's thought on these matters.

This interview was a good one, the other interview on the radio (alan colmes) was not good at all!
We, who know the truth about islam, know that robert is right, but the listeners out there who heard that radio show with alan colmes and have no clue about the whole matter will very likely think negative of robert, after this radio interview!
Robert you can not talk over the moderator, even if you are right (which you were)it just looks bad and you obviously underestemated the interviewer, because to those who do not know about what you do, it must have seamed that the radio interviewer had you by the short and curlies, in short, you totally lost in that interview, as far as the uneducated public is concerned and whenever they hear about you, they will dismiss you as a a guy with double standards.
I know you are not, but the interviewer alan colmes clearly made you look like that to the mainstream public and thats what matters, because they need to know the truth and they maybe will never get it, since they, thanks to that radio interview, think that you are a jerk (which you are not)and thats really bad.
Maybe next time you get in an interview like that, have some ppl with you who support you with ideas & answers, so you wont fall for the booby traps of the interviewer.

It is clear to any sane person that there is no connection between Norway killer and anti - jihadists. But it will take some time and effort to live down the fact that he claimed to be inspired by anti - jihadists. Indian Hindu Nationalists also felt some heat from the Norwegian fire.

This episode is reminiscent of how Nathuram Godse's action affected the Hindu anti - jihadist movement in India. His one action set us back by at least 50 years. For those who don't know, Godse assassinated Gandhi since Gandhi supported Muslims' demand in the face of a brutal partition of India demanded by Muslims. Hundreds of thousands died in riots initiated by Muslims. Gandhi's continued sympathy for Muslim demands angered all Hindu nationalists, one of them tipped over into insanity and put us all behind by half a century.

I've watched Michael Coren for years and have corresponded with him occasionally. He is very well-informed and insightful and know how to ask the right questions. Good that this interview happened.

btw Canada has the largest diaspora of somalis outside that country. (I live in Toronto where most of them settle, Edmonton, Alberta has a big problem with them also - somali drug related gangs)

I came on to compliment Robert for his steadfastness in the face of the horrendous accusations and implications from the media after the Norway massacre, but find that Mo's done a pretty neat job of it. I concur wholeheartedly with all said there.
