Islamic extremists have launched a poster campaign across the UK proclaiming areas where Sharia law enforcement zones have been set up.
Communities have been bombarded with the posters, which read: ‘You are entering a Sharia-controlled zone – Islamic rules enforced.’
The bright yellow messages daubed on bus stops and street lamps have already been seen across certain boroughs in London and order that in the ‘zone’ there should be ‘no gambling’, ‘no music or concerts’, ‘no porn or prostitution’, ‘no drugs or smoking’ and ‘no alcohol’.
Hate preacher Anjem Choudary has claimed responsibility for the scheme, saying he plans to flood specific Muslim and non-Muslim communities around the UK and ‘put the seeds down for an Islamic Emirate in the long term’.
In the past week, dozens of streets in the London boroughs of Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets and Newham have been targeted, raising fears that local residents may be intimidated or threatened for flouting ‘Islamic rules’....

Another reason why "multiculturalism" is bound to be disastrous. Cultures are sets of rules that define what is acceptable and what is not. Our law is actually our culture. How is it that Anjem Choudary's behavior has gone unnoticed by the British police? Or, if they have noticed, why have they not acted? Must a complaint be issued against Choudary for sedition and, if so, are there no complainants? Or have the police been given a threshold for action that has not yet been reached? Some libertarians theorize that governments began when bandit leaders started setting boundaries and ruling over populations as well as gangs. That suits me. Countries with a reasonable government have a huge, Darwinian advantage over governments that either don't exist or are dysfunctional.

I'm quite certain that you're not alone on this. Point-blank: he's a POS; his self-worth is measured by how well he's received by the community, and I'm sure that there isn't a damn thing he wouldn't do to demonstrate his devotion to Islam.

That's effectively what happened in Northern Ireland after 1969 when the troubles started. Areas rapidly became either no-go zones for Catholics or no-go zones for Protestants. Where the two met the barricades went up. Those unfortunate enough to be caught on the wrong side of the barricades were ethnically cleansed every bit as thoroughly as later happened in Bosnia. Both sides then looked to their own paramilitaries to defend their communities.
Things haven't yet reached that stage in Britain with respect to Islam, but they are heading in that direction. I suspect these posters are nothing more than a publicity stunt although in Tower Hamlets, where a jihadist group actually controls the local council, there have been several cases of violent attacks by Muslim gangs. I knew Waltham Forest quite well as my grandparents used to live there. It used to be a quiet, pleasant suburb of London. Obviously that is no longer the case. I'm sure my grandparents would have been very unhappy if they could have seen what has happened to the area, and very angry with those responsible for bringing about this transformation. They would be far from alone in those sentiments; anger and resentment are growing and will continue to grow while the authorities fail to act. These posters may be a trivial example, but with these people if you give an inch they will take a mile.

When one considers that the French are not usually slow to take to the streets in protest, I think it likely that this is where the first outbreak on inter-communal violence will occur. French governments were very largely responsible for initiating the process of mass Muslim immigration to Europe back in the 1970s, as the price they were willing to pay to improve French influence in the Arab world and to oppose American Middle East policy. This then spread throughout Western Europe, often enthusiastically supported by those in power but not by the people. Unfortunately I do not believe that what happened in Norway was a one-off event, but merely the tip of an iceberg of anger and resentment. I totally agree! These sharia signs also say that the mohammadans totally reject British laws, reject British culture. I would feel a lot better about the British government's perspicacity about these 25 areas if I knew they noticed them BEFORE the mohammadan invasion force announced their take over with 40,000 posters.

Perhaps they think having both mustache and beard together is too "Jewish" - good God, that'd never do, some Muslim might think they were a Jew or a Christian and kill them.
Thanks for posting the updated link to the video. I've watched the video about half-way through so far and find it morbidly fascinating. Here's one thing that was really noteworthy so far.
At around 15 minutes into the video, the scene shows a group of Moslems handing out da'wa literature, innocuous at first but then in the background one of them slaps around a little white guy. The white guy was drunk and very likely obnoxious, as he was when interviewed shortly after the incident. He apparently had thrown the literature back in the perpetrator's face. Yet a line had definitely been crossed by the person who slapped this fellow and his thuggish associates who started circling this one lone kuffar like a pack of hyenas. Perhaps it went no further because there was a camera present but the body language of these "Lions Of Islam" (more likely "Jackals of Jihad") was unmistakable: They appeared ready to rumble. Tough guys! Pah!
I don't like to see public drunkness and I view binge drinking to be a serious problem both for the individuals who participate in it and society at large. I am also opposed to drug use and prostitution. But when I see incidents such as the one in the video, I recognize that there are problems still worse that face society. Sharia or any other type of enforced moral behavior is no morality at all. It is bullying. It is extortion. It is wrong. And now, seeing such a preview of it at work in the West, it is time to see it decisively off from everywhere on the world stage, starting from the West.
I hate to say it but England has gone whimp. Why isn't the military going into these sharia zones, strip away the signs, and target the a-holes who are perpetrating this sedition? Well, I just answered my own question, didn't I--they've whimped out and are too frightened to do anything. I just hope the EDL intervenes, but the media is on the wrong side, so they'll get bad press. We need to challenge the religion of peace wherever we find them.
Thanks for your response, but perhaps you could go one (or two) further and explain something to me. This term, "community relations," is often appears --euphemistically it seems-- whenever there is a confrontation between the Moslem and non-Moslem communities in the UK. There must be actual local councils or representative bodies responsibile for overseeing community relations, yes? Are these bodies elected or appointed? If elected, what barriers stand int he way of concerned citizens getting proper representation? If appointed, who is presently responsible and is there any discussion on making community council positions elected?

Good post, Pam. I fully agree. The continued failure of political elites to address the concerns of ordinary citizens can only result in one thing: They will take matters into their own hands, and they won't be particularly concerned about observing diplomatic niceties or worrying about whether anyone's "feelings" are hurt.

Until the free nations of the world round up and deport ALL Muslims and execute the violent ones, there will continue to be domestic unrest and violence. There is no such thing as a “good” Muslim. They are ALL infected with the poison of Mohammad. The so-called “peaceful” Muslims are like snakes in the egg, waiting to hatch out and start BITING.
A lot of folks consider “Jihad” as pertaining ONLY to the violent ones. To the contrary, there are MANY LEVELS OF JIHAD ranging from mild to violent. Here are some examples of Muslim Jihad in America:
1. POLITICAL JIHAD: It begins by seeking special consideration or treatment including waiver or exemption from our customs, culture, and laws. By political means using “religion” as cover, they seek to gradually create their own constitution (Sharia Law) in DEFIANCE of Article 6 (the Supremacy clause, which states that the U.S. Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land). Muslims are authorized by the Koran to lie (taquiya), cheat and steal to hide their real intentions. Lying is an art form in Islam. If their lips are moving, they are lying. They have no allegiance to the flag of this country, patriotic fervor for our Judeo-Christian based heritage, the principles found in the Declaration of Independence or the U. S. Constitution that authorizes the defense of those declarations.
2. BLUSTER: Once the government has granted a certain level of political exemption or special privilege to Muslims based on their claim for “religious” reasons, they become bolder and more demanding. They ratchet up their demands that WE become more and more SHARIA COMPLIANT.
3. DEFIANCE AND VIOLENCE: Because the snakes have hatched out and have started biting everyone around them, they inject the poison of fear and intolerance toward the host nation, now being cowed into submission.
IMPORTANT: The 1st Amendment DOES NOT protect ISLAM or MUSLIMS from prosecution and/or deportation because Islam is an international Mafia organization with a religious front. Islam is exactly the type of religious tyranny that the 1st Amendment was designed to protect us against! Europe is the modern example of how open borders and multiculturalism destroys national sovereignty and constitutional governments. We DO NOT want to be ANYTHING like Europe. Let us elect representatives who will put America first and defend our Judeo-Christian Constitution against the subversion of Islamic Sharia law. Let us also demand that the Department of Homeland Security, our military, FBI, CIA, and police forces DEFINE ALL MUSLIMS AS DOMESTIC ENEMIES and formulate aggressive policies to defeat all forms of Islamic threats. There should be a policy to destroy all Mosques because they are command and control centers for political intrigue and training Muslims for domestic violence. They will never assimilate. They do not support the U.S. Constitution, and they ALL need to be deported.

They were not, however, *entirely* unopposed. The EDL had not been able - or was not permitted - to have a counter-rally or march, but they were on the case nevertheless, and the Cross of St George was defiantly displayed.

3. Counter-posters, with a view to educating the non-Muslim public.
I have in mind a large, colourful poster with artwork in the style of a 'Where's Wally?' double spread, or a Grandma Moses painting.
It depicts the park, square and city centre of a medium-sized town somewhere in dar al Harb.
The caption is simple: "practically every thing or activity you see in this picture is forbidden under Islamic Sharia".
In the picture, the scene is a sunny Saturday morning in summer.
In the park, male and female infidels are freely interacting. There isn't a hijab in sight; women have their hair, faces, arms and legs (from the knees down) uncovered, and some women are walking or jogging on their own.
There's a lake in the park and families are swimming - mixed bathing, a bikini or two is discernible. Men are cleanshaven or have beards with moustaches; a couple of young blades are sporting mullets (banned in Iran).
Courting couples and staid old married couples are engaging in public displays of affection (nothing excessive).
People - including a pair of obviously gay guys - are walking their pet dogs or playing with them (throwing balls,etc).
Several different wedding parties - Sikh, Hindu, Jewish, Christian - are having their photos taken in assorted locations around the park: the brides are all bold and buxom beauties aged at least 18, (no child-bride Aishas here!).
There is, of course, a statue - a war memorial, or the figure of a local notable. Buskers are playing flutes and fiddles. Under a tree, a buddhist in a saffron robe is meditating. A few hare krishnas are dancing down one of the paths. A street artist is drawing someone's portrait. A couple of cops are strolling along 'on the beat', the local member is holding a meet-the-people day, with a little stall and a sign, and two soldiers in uniform, on leave, are admiring the girls at the beach. [This to represent Infidel law and government]. An evangelist waving a Bible is preaching from a soap-box; he is being challenged by an atheist waving a copy of Hitchens or Dawkins.
On the edges of the park are a Christian church with a cross and a bell-tower with bells pealing, a Jewish synagogue, a pub, a Town Hall, a magistrate's court, a bank advertising 'loans at x % interest', and a butcher with a poster featuring a plump pink pig and the words 'free range pork'.
