Arizona: Police feared family of Muslim honor killing victim would kill her as she fought for her life in the hospital

More on this story. Authorities were only being prudent, as honor killings often result from a collective decision among relatives, or at least have their tacit support, even in America: one will recall the brother of the Said sisters, two Dallas-area honor-killing victims. Islam Said insisted his father was the true victim. "Revealed: Police feared Iraqi family of honour killing daughter would try to murder her as she fought for life in hospital bed," from the Daily Mail, August 7:

Police feared that the Iraqi immigrant family of a daughter run over and killed by her father in an apparent 'honour killing' would try to murder her as she clung to life in a hospital bed, a new tape reveals.
It has also emerged that the mother of the girl, who later died from her injuries, was called a 'sick person' by the Arizona detective investigating the case.
Faleh Al-Maleki, 50, was jailed for 34 years in April for the second-degree murder of his 20-year-old daughter Noor because she had become 'too Westernised'.
He was also found guilty of aggravated assault for causing serious injuries to Amal Edan Khalaf, the mother of Noor's boyfriend, as well as two counts of leaving the scene.
The audio tape, obtained by Fox News, records a telephone conversation between Seham Al-Maleki, Noor’s mother, and Peoria police detective Bill Laing in which she demands to see her daughter.
'Until he [Noor’s father] is located, we are not mentioning where she is at,' replied Laing, who told the mother that witnesses in the parking lot identified her husband as the driver.
'This woman, she is lying, because she is dirty,' Seham says, referring to Khalaf, who survived being hit by Al-Maleki’s jeep.
'You are a sick person,' Laing snapped.
Al-Maleki fled while his daughter was taken to the hospital, in critical condition.
Seham was eventually allowed into the hospital to see her daughter, who was removed from life support on November 2, 2009.
Mohamed El-Sharkawy, a member of the Arizona Muslim Police Advisory Board told Fox News that the Peoria police were worried another family member would try to kill her, too.

By the way, is there an Arizona Lutheran Police Advisory Board?

'They were afraid that because he did not succeed, that somebody else, his son or a relative, will go and finish the job,' said El-Sharkawy, who was called in to the investigation after Noor was run down.
Al-Maleki reached the United Kingdom before he was captured and extradited back to the U.S. and charged with murder.
Al-Maleki believed his daughter had become 'too Westernised' and had abandoned 'traditional' Iraqi values, Peoria police said....

My wish for all politicians and ignorant advocates of Islamic sharia amongst free citizens of all civilized societies; (...sharia in its most diminutive form) - is to live long until they meet with - SHARIA - Face to Face.

May they not soil the floors and national independence of Western values for their descendants to make clean.

Unfortunately, their descendants shall not be able to clean the dirt; not even with their blood.

After-all, their blood, like the blood of their today's smocks of non resistant parents, will be nothing but "unworthy non-believers' useless red detergents".

For more information, find out when Mahmud Ahmedinejad will be visiting.

This woman, she is lying, because she is dirty.

That's what I always used to tell my ex-wife.

*** 33:21 ***

But at least I ain't a Moslem.

Muslim Family Values.

FOX News did a good job on this tragedy last night in a one hour special during prime time. I don't no if that was the first broadcast of the story or not. They followed it right through the trial, showed interviews with attending officers and detectives, the judge after the trial, and the jury foreman's opinions. They also played the jail room tapes of Al Maleki and his wife talkng about trying to create some sort of insanity defense.

Author and radio commentator Mark Steyn also gave his opinions on the case. We saw the defense attorney try to paint Al-Maleki as just trying to scare her by driving close to her, this may have created some doubt in the jury's 2 day deliberation. The lady prosecutor felt she had failed to get Noor the justice she deserved. and was very distraught and critical of the jury. She has now become a strong advocate to get American courts and jurists to understand this crime and make sure that their is no creeping sharia present in deliberations to get justice for this atrocious crime.

Jesus, guys, just normal behavior for muslims.
Why would you love your daughter? She is just cattle.

The quote in the article is misleading.

Last night I saw a special on this very story.

Now, full disclosure, I was mucking about on my computer and 1/2 watching, but the actual tape of the conversation was played and what the mother said was something like:

Mom: She is lying, she is dirty - etc

Cop: Your daughter has been hit and is in really bad shape (paraphrase)

Mom: This is what was best for her. This is what was good for her.

THEN the cop said: "you're sick"

I mean, again, I may be missing some, but it was after the mother said the girl got what was good for her / got what she needed is when the cop said that.

Wish I had listened more intently, but I didn't.

Also - the tapes from prison - between husband and wife, were recorded and they talked about honor and all that A LOT.

It was clearly a central theme to why he had done it. - That the jury would not ignore PCism and CALL it premeditated murder and an honor killing is a sad fact of where we are in our PC culture.

Hope that helps.

Steven
