It will be temporary, as the ceasefire is always intended to be temporary under Islamic law, to allow the Muslim side to re-group and re-arm. Again, the practical effect is that the jihadists can more or less decide when hostilities begin and end as it suits them, knowing also that Israel will be held to the higher end of a double standard in actually observing the arrangement. As they say in Israel, "we cease, they fire."

Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist group which governs the Gaza Strip, say they have agreed to a ceasefire after five days of violence.
The latest clashes began when militants crossed into southern Israel and killed eight Israelis on Thursday.
Subsequent Israeli air strikes on Gaza killed 15 Palestinians. One Israeli was killed in rocket fire from Gaza.
The Quartet of Middle East peace mediators - the UN, US, EU and Russia - has called for restraint.
Informal truce
A Palestinian official said that Hamas had agreed to ensure that the ceasefire was recognised by smaller militant groups in Gaza - which were responsible for most of the rockets fired at southern Israel in the past few days.
Prior to the announcement, Israeli media reported that 12 rockets launched from the Gaza Strip landed in southern Israel overnight. No injuries resulted.
But on Monday, Gaza's Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) - last to agree to the truce - agreed to halt rocket fire against Israel as a "temporary" measure "for the sake of the Palestinian people".
Earlier, Israel's army radio reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's security cabinet had decided the military would stop its air strikes on Gaza if militants there halted their attacks.
Like similar arrangements in the past this is not a formal agreement, says the BBC's Yolande Knell in Jerusalem....

IMHO war with tremendous enemy causalities is the only way to peace for Israel. The enemy casualties have to be great at first just to get the insane Islamic mind's attention - much more to make them give up for a good while. Not that the time is right now with our Islamic infiltrator in the White house, but even Israel's enemies know that war is the only way this conflict gets effectively settled. They won't give up until Israel is annihilated. For them their imaginary Allah requires it.
Hamas stinks. These people danced and handed out sweets on 9/11, so if the next time Hamas says the truce is off and the Israelis smack them with everything they've got--including driving most of the population of the Gaza Strip into either Egypt or the Med, I would find it hard to be sympathetic to the vanquished.
Lets not get side-tracked, the facts are Islam intends to dominate the world. They don't want peace as the free worlds see's peace. Islams ideology is that peace will only come if and when Islam dominates the world. So when the Muslim clerics talk about wanting peace, they are not talking about the kind of peace we in the free world are talking about. Think about that for a moment.
Islams only goal here is to dominate the world by any means neccessary. If that means stealth jihad then that is what will be used. If that means by force then that is what they will use. "By any means neccessary" until total submission is achieved.
Any talk of the free worlds peace is thought of by Islam as a weakness. So the longer free world legislators keep talking about peace the more powerful Islam feels.
The free world will never see true peace until they address the truth about Islams intent, motivation, and commitment. Until then it is all simply empty words.
You wouldn't put gas in your car, to fix a flat tire would you? The free world must first address the truth about Islams intent. Until our legislators see the truth of the matter the problem will never get fixed but only get worse.
The United States has been fighting terrorism by giving and submiting to their wants. How is that going to stop terrorism or Islams ideology?
Hello.... we've been hoping for peace with people whom have a totally different meaning of the word. Islam is also hoping for peace but their meaning of peace is that Islam dominates the entire world by any means neccessary.
The free world has no clue of Islams intent or ideology. Infact they are afraid to talk about it. Those whom do talk about it are called bigots or hate mongers.
