I don't see how such a world can be brought about without understanding why 9/11 happened. As long as they're having Qur'an readings in Newark, I suggest these as meditations on why they're having any special ceremonies on September 11 in the first place:

I am disgusted by the fact that I work under the "auspices" of CUPW, a bigotted, anti-semitic entity if there ever was one. I plan on wearing my "I Stand With Israel" shirt today at work, and hope that some of the muslims who take EXTRA breaks to pray in the designated prayer room will file a grievance. Nothing would make me happier to expose the hypocrisy of the jew-hating, communist-loving union for what it is.
When a Christian colleague of mine questioned management about the fairness of requiring us to work 4 out of 5 Sundays, while muslim staff were allowed to take extra breaks (every day) to pray during work, she was told not to complain because "that's their religion." The double-standard and willful blindness to the hypocrisy is simply mind-boggling!
I will be travelling to the rally in New York on 9/11 (a 14-hour trip from where I am in Ontario) in proud support of Robert, Pamela, all the family members of the murdered, and other freedom-loving people of the US and around the world. The Episcopalian Church in the USA is one of the most apostate denominations on the planet. Half of the Anglican jurisdictions in Africa are now unwilling to consider themselves of the same denomination with it any more--and I sympathize with those Africans. The Episcopal church is famous for female ordination, the ordination of a flagrantly homosexual bishop (the media darling "Vikie" Gene Robinson), and denying every doctrine of the Old and New Testaments. Its presiding bishop is a woman who knows far more about the mating habits of squid than she does about the Bible.
It is no wonder that they've driven off so many members that their landmark cathedral in Washington, DC (the one that hosted one of the Iranian thugs not too long ago) is in serious, serious financial trouble, and cannot be supported by the diocese.

Be not dismayed by this - the simple truth is that the Episcopal "Church" (and a couple of other well known denominations) ceased to be a Church some time ago...they fool a few but most of us know this.

Those who died on 911, murderers excluded, were ordinary folk going about their daily lives. Some were extraordinary, in that they risked (and ultimately lost) their lives rendering aid to their fellow citizens. To be murdered, in the call of duty as a firefighter or ambo or police officer, is not to die "senselessly". It is to die honorably. To ring a loved one to say "Goodbye. P.S. I love you." is not to die senselessly. It is to be murdered slowly. And this seems to be much favoured by Muslims of a certain breed... this causing slow and painful death. Think of Somalia and al Shabaab, and the plight of (potentially) millions. This is Islam. So, what's to negotiate with, or have "interfaith dialogue" with? Where is this "hope"?
