Geller: Herman Cain apologizes for speaking the truth

Chris Christie just went down in flames, and right before that, so did another man some people hoped would be an effective president of the United States. In "Cain: Not able" in WorldNetDaily this morning, Pamela Geller has the details:

"In my own life as a black youth growing up in the segregated South, I understand their frustration with stereotypes. Those in attendance, like most Muslim Americans, are peaceful Muslims and patriotic Americans whose good will is often drowned out by the reprehensible actions of jihadists."

So said presidential candidate Herman Cain, as he apologized for speaking the truth.

He spoke out against Shariah. He said that local people could and should resist the construction of Islamic supremacist mega-mosques. And it's true: It is not an infringement of the freedom of religion to resist a Muslim Brotherhood beachhead in your neighborhood.

He said that if he became president, he wouldn't appoint a Muslim to his cabinet, explaining: "I would have to have people totally committed to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, and many of the Muslims, they're not totally dedicated to this country." This was an awkward comeback, but again, his statement was true: Many Muslims aren't. Look at the Times Square bomber, the Christmas underwear bomber, the Portland Christmas tree-lighting bomber, the two Fort Hood jihadists and so many others.

But now Cain has met with Muslim leaders, apologized and backtracked completely. In an embarrassingly abject statement, he said that he was "humble and contrite for any statements I have made that might have caused offense to Muslim Americans and their friends." He said he was "truly sorry for any comments that may have betrayed my commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the freedom of religion guaranteed by it."

Cain said this to five leaders of the ADAMS Center, the deceptively-acronymed All Dulles Area Muslim Society, which, according to a February 2008 report, "was founded and financed by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, and has been one of the top distributors of Wahhabist anti-Semitic and anti-Christian dogma." Cain met with Mohamed Magid, who is also the head of the Islamic Society of North America, which has admitted ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

When he initially came out so strongly against Islamic supremacism, many of us thought that Cain had demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the jihadic doctrine. Maybe it wasn't so brilliantly articulated, but so what? While he may have said things awkwardly, such as his statement about not appointing Muslims to a cabinet position, clearly he was speaking to the stealth jihad. He wasn't talking about people of Muslim background like Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sultan, Nonie Darwish and Ayaan Hirsi Ali. He was talking about people like the silver-tongued deceiver and pseudo-moderate Tariq Ramadan, who just recently said in Texas that "it should be us, with our understanding of Islam, our principles, colonizing positively the United States of America."...

Given Herman's orginal trajectory, the abrupt plummet does beg the 'has somebody, a mr big, had a quiet word in his ear?'.question.

"Who exactly is whispering in his ear? I'd love to know. Who got to him? Obviously, the ADAMS Center connection shows that the Muslim Brotherhood got to him. But it's a good thing we found out how weak he was. Because the only thing Herman Cain had going for him as a candidate was his apparent courage in facing the real enemy within and without. In issuing this apology, he thought he saved his candidacy; in fact, he killed it.

What Herman Cain doesn't know is how they laughed when he left the room. And rubbed their hands in glee." - Pam Geller

Exactly. I liked Cain only because of his stance against the Muslims and Islam. I considered him to be a Truth-Teller like Wilders, Spencer and Geller. A week or so ago when he "apologized" to the Muslims I almost fell over. Here it is in case anyone desires a trip down a very depressing memory lane:

Now, as far as I'm concerned, he can return to his pizzas. I don't vote for candidates who apologize to Muslims. No exceptions. Cain, you're an invertebrate - no spine. OH, btw, did you know that Mohamed owned Black slaves? No? Why don't you ask your new Mohammedan friends about it. I'm sure they'll be happy to discuss it with you.

Men and women of little backbone may find it difficult to resist the attentions of those who are absolutely convinced that they are right, that they have the sole reason the be right, that any other way of thinking is falsehood and that all criticism is based on hatred, bigotry and racism.
I'm sure they are completely unaware that these accusations fall back upon themseles. Because they KNOW they alone are right. And Islam does that to people.

He could also have mentioned that most Klansmen were pillars of their communities and never lynched anyone.

Too bad a few bad apples "hijacked" the Klan and gave it such a bad name.

Right Herm???

Apparently Cain or rather the MB had a rather serious talk with him and he changed his mind.
"Apparently, strong-arm pressure from CAIR isn’t why Herman Cain backpedaled on his courageous anti-Islam positions
According to Frank Gaffney of the CENTER FOR SECURITY POLICY, Herman Cain met with members of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization which is very troubling. No wonder he slithered away from his hard-hitting criticism of muslims, he knows what the Muslim Brotherhood does to people who tell the truth about Islam."
If this is true it is very troubling for America.

What a disappointment Herman Cain has turned out to be. America needs a political leader like Geert Wilders and I see none on the horizon unless it is Allen West. Don't know yet.

hi wellington: if you may recall a few weeks ago I was villified by a wole bunch of people by calling Herman Cain a DB, and a run of the mill a...hole poltician who would change his tune when neccassery. I think you responded to me as well but very politly as usaul. but I had some very nasty responses.

so I should just mention that I was right!!! it makes me feel good.

Although this latest move is troubling, I will hold out judgement for now. Herman had been very clear where he stood on islam, and this shift may be political, one would need access to handlers to fully understand this update to his positions.

I will ignore this "second letter", and will consider all the information from now forward. I would ssk others to point out a better choice, based on his, and others, past statements, to lead this nation. Most other contenders have not even made a comment on the issue of islam, other than generic talking points.

He has more to offer the country other than this latest shift of position, one that is cover to make the issue go away. We shall see.

Herman Cain has indeed shown he would be a weak and indecisive leader...and we certainly don't want weak and indecisive leaders...he just struck out.

For sure..

muslims have killers on speed dial to slaughter those who do not fall in line..

it's quite obvious..

As I recall, miriam rove, my objections to you on that thread were that you were deeply cynical about business in general and you also made the error of referring to Cain as a politician. I didn't share your cynicism about capitalism then (or now) and pointed out to you that Cain had never been a politician before he announced for the Presidency. It wasn't your objection to Cain per se that I disagreed with but rather your ancillary comments pertaining to his candidacy.

Personally speaking, I do very much hope we get a business type (like Romney) in the White House come 2013. I want a President to know how the capitalistic system works and is one who is not hostile to it, like the turkey right now occupying the Oval Office, whose knowledge of economics and finance is dismal. Of course, I also want the next President to be realistic about Islam and here the pickins' are pretty sparse. Cain, for me, has demonstrated just how sparse they are.

Hope you are well and that your son who has served in Afghanistan is doing well also. I honor his service. Take care.

Cain was my favorite contender till he backtracked on the truth of Islam and showed a weak character.

Who's left? Would Bolton be better?

I knew it...

I'd rather have been wrong.

USA needs a proper Pres. with a solid core, not a waverer.

What could they have told him?

We know where your kids go to school.

We will blow up your pizza joints.

We will kill your wife and her relatives.

We will sue your socks off.

Can't think of much else. You?

I notice that many articles (see above) and journalists across the media refer to Muslims as 'Muslim Americans', rather than 'American Muslims'. Personally, I would prefer nation before religion, as I feel that by declaring their chosen religion before their nationality it confers increased status to their cult.

The key to destroying Islam is to destroy Mohammed, who has long been for me the model of the psychopath. Throw in epilepsy and consequences that extend from this and it is quite disturbing to reflect upon the fact that a major religion was founded by a basket case of a man.

"Cain was my favorite contender till he backtracked on the truth of Islam and showed a weak character.

Bolton is a strong person to consider, however as yet not thrown a hat into the running. Also, he is strong on National Defence, and has not made comments against the followers of islam, sticking to ideas on national security where he has a strong background.

I do not think his "bactrack" was weak, just trying to bury the issue for now. He spoke his mind early on islam, and I take what he said to be how he really feels, and what he stated was correct and bold, before his handlers pulled on the reins to slow the advance.

Give the guy a chance, this is all really just getting started.

miriam, I myself have found that "being right" in these cases is often pretty cold comfort. I'd rather have someone solid to vote for November after next. Seeing the slim—and dwindling—pickings is quite disheartening...I'm glad *somebody* feels good about this...

Just this, Sheik: "you'll never get elected if you're branded an "Islamophobe".

Personally, I doubt it's anything more than that—because at this point, it doesn't have to be...
