I also think that if, under attack, the IDF saw the destruction of Israel imminent (unlikely) that the nuclear destruction of Mecca & Medina would also happen. I'm sure Israel is competent enough to repeat its military achievements of 1967 and 1973. While the Arab world remains inert, stagnant and backward scientifically and technologically, Israel has underwent tremendous developments in the above mentioned fields.

I don't think things are going to be that easy for Israel.

Probably the biggest threat is the tens of thousands of stockpiled rockets controlled by Hamas in the Gaza strip and by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. These rockets have the potential to reach most of Israel and are devastating.

If armies attacked Israel, Israel wouldn't have the manpower to invade Lebanon and Gaza, as well as hold off invaders. Using nuclear weapons on Gaza and Lebanon is essentially like Israel bombing itself.

The purpose of Israeli nuclear weapons, not to put too fine a point on it, is to deflect an attack on Israel, not destroy Middle Eastern countries. If Israel gets to the point of bombing cities in Saudi Arabia, which will likely not be involved in an invasion, it will be a measure of desperation, and unlikely to succeed.

I would expect any movement of troops by Iran in the direction of Israel would trigger an immediate, extremely violent reaction before the troops ever reached Syria or got through Iraq. I hope the US would be intelligent enough to move from its policy of "even-handedness", and give Israel the latitude it would need to preempt any combined attack.

It may be prudent for Israel to take pre-emptive action NOW - before the masses rally against them. Firstly, strike at the stockpiles of missiles in Gaza and Lebanon.

We know the world would rather sit and wait until Israel is attacked, but then these liberal soft-at-hearts are not constantly being threatened with annihilation. It is easy to be an arm-chair liberal while sitting in your cosy home so far away from the constant threat of violence.

The reality is that Israel must strike first and obtain the upper hand and eliminate the immediate threat close to home i.e. Hezbollah and Hamas. Close your ears and follow your heart and do what has to be done - despite the hue and cry from the world who essentially has nothing to fear.

Muslims have been bombing and destroying churches and synagogues for quiet some time now.I'm surprised that no one has destroyed the Al-Aqsa mosque and Mecca,after all neither of the 2 alleged shrines offer Mankind any redeeming values.So in retaliation I think it's high time these 2 abominations were destroyed.

Hundreds of thousands dead? Too optimistic a casualty figure in a nuclear conflict. Nuclear weapons are not rifles, tanks and artillery or conventional air strikes. Their most effective use is against large fixed targets of strategic, political and economic importance.

That would be your cities, clown. Damascus, Tehran, Baghdad, and perhaps Riyadh, Mecca and Medina just for pure cussidness.

Now pull your head from your nether regions, have a few deep breaths of the clean, fresh air and pray that the war you so fervently desire and seem to see as your path to personal glory is avoided, you delusional megalomaniacal psychopath. If you and your cohorts somehow make this blood drenched fantasy come to pass, future generations will remember you not as the glorious leaders who destroyed Israel, but as the men who started the war that killed millions of Arabs and cracked the foundations of islam.
