KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 — Two Malay dailies alleged today that Christian organizations are carrying out covert missions to convert poverty-stricken Muslims by offering them cash, free food and housing in a follow-up to a controversial church raid this week.
In its frontpage story titled “Sogok wang gadai akidah” [“Cash bribes faith pawned”], Berita Harian reported that certain organizations were hiding behind the guise of welfare aid and offering all manner of monthly cash allowances of at least RM1,000 to hard-hit Muslims and their families in an attempt to turn them into Christians.
The pro-Barisan Nasional [which is the ruling coaltion] newspaper did not name any of the organizations but posted a pixelised photo of a woman on its cover, which it captioned as “Jasmine admits receiving aid from a community church in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya”.
Last Wednesday, the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) partnered the police and burst in on a multiracial dinner at the Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) in Petaling Jaya based on a report that the Christian majority crowd was allegedly proselytizing to Muslim guests, triggering a nationwide uproar.
The religious enforcement force, which answers directly to the Sultan of Selangor as head of Islam in the frontline state, has been slammed for purportedly violating the rights of the minority non-Muslim community.
It wouldn't be the first time. In fact, you could say that such behaviour is standard procedure for the Taliban of Malaysia. Under Malaysian Muslim-written laws, it's also perfectly legal.
I always hear Muslims tell us dirty kafirs that Islam is such a superior faith to any other religion. But whenever some other faith starts to proselytize, they just get their knickers in knot......
Maybe Islam is not all that superior........

Let me get this straight. The mighty Muslims, 65% of the population, are panic stricken by the pacifist Christians who amount to 9% of the population. Is Islam that dismal? Is Allah that weak? Is the Malaysian government a pathetic collection of weaklings?

The Muslims are so paranoid about competing faiths because they know that their own cult is built upon a foundation of sand. This paranoid, hypersensitive defensiveness and outrage at competition are not the reactions of a confident belief system, but of an information-control cult. These reactions are evidence of an attempt to protect a fatal vulnerability, an attempt to cover an Achilles heel.
The location of that Achilles heel was amply demonstrated by the Satanic Verses affair, the Motoons rage, and by the OIC's insidious attempts to introduce global laws against 'blasphemy' of Mohammed. The Muslims themselves have shown us their most vulnerable spot, which is the questionable (though unquestioned) character of the 'Prophet' himself.
If you destroy the credibility of Mohammed, you destroy Islam.
The primary target of the propaganda counterjihad must be Mohammed. If Mohammed is revealed as an imposter, a fraud and a conman then the Koran and Hadiths are worthless raving and ramblings, mere sound and fury signifying nothing...

Christians are well known for providing aid and comfort to the poor and sickly people without regard to their background. It's obvious the Muslims weren't providing aid and comfort...
Just because something is "legal" doesn't make it right. The people of Islam care little for those of a different faith, so to take advantage of Christians or Hindu's little to them. A man has sexual urges so he kidnaps a Christian girl, marries her, and has his way with her. Where are the ethics? Do Muslim's have a conscience or is it warped because of what they believe. To think that someone exists to make you happy is the essence of selfishness. Islam, the religion of peace, is the most selfish religion on earth. Mohammed, when he wanted something or someone, took it and then, amazingly, suddenly got a "revelation" from God that makes an immoral behavior, moral. That makes the "god" of Islam a selfish god that exists to make moral the immoral. It is a far cry from Christianity which says you should sacrifice yourself for the needs of others.
Absolutely Sean. You probably read the July 24th thread re the Malaysian bibles hoo-har. The contortions poster 'srizals' twisted himself into, not to mention the skipfulls of tatty referrences he'd fly-tip to substantiate his views, bears testimony to that inherent malady you noted. The things Jesus tells the Samaritan woman in John 4 are written in stone for all time and beyond. I'm not a Jew myself, but that's irrelevant. Truth is what it says it is. It's the real deal.
Islam is like the mythical vampire. Expose it to the light of Christ and it will be destoyed.
